  • If you removed the label from this track unless you knew the track you would never guess this track was created over 25 years ago, just way ahead of it's day, and Cameo made a lot of great tracks at that time, great album .....

  • Newworldr0b: There is an old saying that goes-"if you have nothing nice to say don't say it at all." Well I'll take it one step further-'If you have nothing intelligent to say, shut the hell up!'

  • I absolutely loved this song. So glad that it is on YouTube. I'm telling you, I really miss the times when song lyrics had positive messages in them! Don't we all have times when we need to hear a song like this.

  • All I can say is....Damnnnnn!

This was my favorite song on this album as well as "Slow Movin'"

1983 was a good year for music

  • i saw them do this live , and it was such surprize to hear them do this . it was the year 2001 in the park in New Haven , Connecticut . Nathan Leftenant was on stage . Wow!!!

  • Great song and what a genious bassline....

  • Tight vocals.

  • Aaaah. AIn't heard this for years and can still remember every little twist and turn.

  • same here. this was a nice cut.

  • Mike Burnett walked that bass liked nobody's

    business.

  • true.

  • @Starrchild65 He stepped all over the frets

  • @Starrchild65 :

The late Mike "Calamari" Burnett was an awesome bass-player indeed, but he isn't mentioned on the Style-album. Larry and Charlie are both credited in the linernotes for bass-guitar though, and Mike was back in the biz with the C-army one year later, during the recording-sessions of the albums "She's Strange" and "Single Life", + he toured with them around 1985, as can be seen here : youtube.com/watch?v=9eOcStxDslY ... Mike is greatly missed ... may he funk in peace forever ...

  • What can you say to this other than "Dear God this tune is tough" ...Always did love that walking bass line on this to the piont if you play the bass guitar you will undrstand that you can play this forever ...Groove

  • That's a very freakin' nice song Bro !

    I like it alot !

    Thanks

  • one of Cameo's best!!!!!

  • a GREAT song on an under appreciated album; CAMEO deserved more credit for the brilliance of this album Word Up garnered the kudos...this joint was the PHD dissertation to prove they belong with EWF, Isleys, MAZE & CON FUNK SHUN as the top great R&B bands.

  • remember the side project cash flow frm the 80's anyone..

  • party freak...mine all mine

  • wonderfully mellow song. lifts me up when my spirits aren't too high. best band ever.

  • "There's a special magic in everything you do"

    "Don't be shy...keep your mind-above the sky."

"You'll soon find out, there be no doubt."

"La da dee da da dye."

Man, if you know the words and don't sing along to this one...YOUR A LOSER!!!

My favorite Cameo joint EVA..."Never letting sorrow...or pain get in your way!!!"

    CAMEO!!!
