Well, it's one of those things that make more sense after reading TB. Catatonia is a phycholigical defense echanism caused by extree trauma, and Subaru just happends to be one who has such an in-built defense.
I just love how they're always 50,000,000,000 miles apart from each other when the big battles take place. It just cracks me the hell up. Oh, I'm all the way over here and the battle is way over there. Hmm, I best start jumping really fast. I don't wanna miss anything.
