It's frustrating that "F- it" was included in there. One of my favorite things so far about Daft Punk (other than their amazing music) was that they didn't include swearing in their music, so hearing/seeing it here isn't cool. I hate to have to skip an otherwise awesome remix.

If "Daft Punk" became a genre instead of the duo then the sound would no longer be unique to them. Everyone would be trying to imitate their music and that's not what the music industry is about. Genres are meant to be wide-ranged, non-specific, that way songs and bands can fall under many for a wide audience. I find the sound of Daft Punk to be so very unique that if a genre was formed based on their sound, it would fall flat because everything would sound the same or sound bad.
