  • On December 10, 2005, nine days after his birthday, Pryor suffered a heart attack in Encino, California. He was taken to a local hospital after his wife's attempts to resuscitate him failed. He was pronounced dead at 7:58 am PST. He was 65 years old. His widow Jennifer was quoted as saying, "At the end, there was a smile on his face."[26] He was cremated and his ashes were given to family.

  • Play the video, then press 8 to get to the ANGRY section! THAT'S the BEST part!

  • I love the part where he snaps......"Bgbrithidousifhdohsgohoituhrgdjspofjpppffft!" and whatnot! LMAO!

  • This wasn't a skit, this is how it really is when you come down from crack!

  • @Madams1977 He did not smoke crack he was a freebaser. Caught himself on fire.

  • @balonsolos True. He was trying to cook it up the old fashioned way and the ether went up.

  • @Madams1977 Aye he tried to get clean even stated it on stage one night and was getting heckled for it. (lokk under Richard Pryor vs Auidence around 2 min into it. He was a good man. We all have our problems some are more detrimental than others. I flet for him the night he tired to tell the crowd he didntt want o drink-n-drug anymore. To take the time to do Seeame street tells how much he loved kids. He had a great personality.

  • "i can't do it that fast!!!! Nobody can do it that fast!!!"

  • Lol White folk.

  • Comment removed

  • LMAO! I loved when he snapped! XD R.I.P. Richard Pryor!

  • he died from complications from MS - his immune system ws probably compromised by his years of drug use and alcohol abuse and i believe he had a heart attack in the end.

  • HE LOOK LIKE HE JUST FINISH GETTING HIGH I THINK HE GOT THE MUNCHIES LOL

  • "Happy, sad, scared, mad... seizure brought on by drug use"

  • Did he died?

  • Yes he died on December 10, 2005. On the internet it says that he died from drug overdose and/or by heart attack. So it's hard to know which one he died from.

  • @afriendofbean He died of cardiac arrest as a result of advanced coronary artery disease

  • Richard Pryor was on Sesame Street????

  • @gtz1975 Many many times. Isn't it GREAT!

  • @hotlinkcinema THAT'S FUCKEN AWSOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I NEVER knew that!!!!!!!!!!!! Long live the legendary Richard Pryor ~RIP~

  • @gtz1975 LONG LIVE PRIOR!! :)

  • no wonder theirs bi-polar people damn SS jk

  • This is an example of Pryor's complexity. Even when he was at his raunchiest, he was ALWAYS really popular with kids. This is one of the things that separates Pryor from his nearest peers. While my parents were listening to albums like WANTED and BICENTENNIAL N*****, I was seeing him on Sesame Street and the Muppet Movie. In the 80s, he even had his own Saturday Morning show...and did a bunch of kid-friendly movies

  • O.K. Richard now show us what you look like trying to light a crack pipe and accidently set your head on fire.

  • lol...I want to see the one where Richard Pryor had the strawberries on Sesame Street.

  • Haha. Classic. Richard was the best.

  • ok richard now lets try another "sober"

  • And after that, show us what you look like when you are calm. Befor 'sober' he was demonstrating what he looks like when he faints. So: happy, sad, scared, mad, faint, sober, calm!

  • hahaha. "Richard?"

  • "aww he's sad"

  • Richard Pryor was on Sesame Street? Those guys are bold.

  • WERE bold. I think the Sesame Street of today would be too scared to have Chris Rock or Charlie Murphy on.

  • Dave Chapelle on Sesame Street was the ultimate killer, with Oscar the Junkie

  • @ErichoTTA REAL BOLD

  • lol hilarious.

  • his scared face looks more happy then his happy face lol

    R.I.P Richard Pryor

  • 0:39

  • 0:40

  • Richard Pryor was GREAT!!! May he rest in peace.

  • why don't you show us 'High'

  • He did, he showed us "happy"

  • Can you show sesame street on Richard Pryor playing toy cars with kids

  • This is just beautiful. Richard had a softness 2 him under that hard personal he portrayed. Richard was so BRILLIANT and TALENTED. He also did a segment on the show saying the ABC'S. He was so SEXY just by sayin the ABC's. If that's not SEXY,I don't know what is. RIP Richard Pryor

  • Was that Paul Mooney narrating?

  • No...it was Emilio Delgado (Luis on Sesame Street)

  • wow family friendly pryor

  • y they do that to him .. say no to frugs .. n yes to Jesus

  • Must have been part of his community service.

  • lmao!

  • funny!

  • I can't believe the same man that said the "F word" more than 2 million times was actually allowed on Sesame Street. That would never happen nowadays because not everyone had access to Richard Pryor's stand up material and the public was'nt so whiny back then.

  • Yeah but its not like he swore and junk. As a child I envied Pryor and I never heard any of his stand up. I was familiar with his mainstream work. Plus the man had kids of his own so ofcourse he'll have mercy on Sesame Street.

  • Other celebrities have been on Sesame Street who normally use the "F" word. Robin Williams and Robert De Niro come to mind right off the bat. I can't remember but I think Eddie Murphy was also on Sesame Street.

  • Those are the men that I remember being a big part of my formative Sesame experience. If that doesn't go a long way to explain what happened to my television generation, I don't know what would.

  • If they'd got an ordinary guy to do it, they'd not have had to pay him as much. They obviously wanted Richard and endorsed his work.

  • This is so cute and funny! EVEN for richard pryor!

I mean, i feel for him at 0:50-1:04.

the world asks too much from you too quickly and you just freak out like your on crack!! lol ^_^

  • Right. "Like" you're on crack.

  • Happy, sad, scared...

    cocaine is a helluva drug.

  • can't hear a word.

  • Try turning the volume up. Dumbass!

  • the volume was up full as it was. dumbass indeed.

  • Then you have terrible speakers.

  • correct, but i have better ones now and i can hear it ferpectly.

  • Too bad you can't still can't spell perfectly.

  • i love these little free-for-alls, where it just snowballs into a random assortment of crazies throwin spitballs at each other. were it not for this video would we ever converse? who can tell who will join us next? it is a mystery!

  • why do i always arrive late for fights? Come back Billy, he just said something naughty about your mum!

  • !!!!!!!!!!

  • "You can't still can't"...

  • Greatest of all time.

  • How the hell did he ever get on sesame street?

  • this shows he wasnt just adult humor

  • I have a comment for the one who said " can we point something funny " that Richard Did?

The only answer I got is Comedy wouldn't be the same if Richard Pryor wasn't born, and that's the TRUTH! RIP TO the King of Comedy.

  • I agree! I saw the movie "Silverstreak" on T.V. when I was about 11 or 12 and I laughed SO hard at all the scenes he was in!

  • @product263 AMEN!!

  • @product263 and how.

  • @witchman67 Just ask any famous comedian who their inspiration was, then ask who their inspirations inspiration was, it all goes back tp Pryor.

  • R.I.P RICH.

    fan in ireland.

  • well... that all depends on personal taste. He was a genious and it´s all a matter of recognizing that or not. Simple as that!

  • whoa, i remember seeing this when i was a kid...

  • greatest comic ever

  • R.I.P. I LOVE THIS GUY!

  • when he made a scared face he looked constipated. :D

  • Yeah...I thought so too!

  • I can only imagine what Richard's outtakes were like!

  • Ohh weird. Maybe it's just the video and stuff and maybe he had like one rehearsal but he looks pretty wasted. Like he does in some standups from maybe the same time when he's all dancy and jittery like Sly Stone.

  • That's a freaky shot of Ernie at the beginning.

  • That was a photo of Ernie. Do you remember the eight boxes (puzzle) that made up the photo? They flew on to the screen mixed up, then they would slide around until the puzzle was made. Then the ninth piece flew on to complete the photo. Then Kids would yell "It's Ernie"! I caught the beginning but for some dumb reason, didn't want that one at the time , so I missed it.

  • Was that one taken from 1969?Look at how early that Ernie puppet is.

  • Definitely 1970s. Dig that leisure suit!
