As men, we all get caught up in our wants and needs...often realizing, when it's too late, that we had everything we wanted and needed right under our very noses. many of us have made this same mistake in our own lives and can empathize with the character. @strictlycomments You nailed it. Like the dog and the bone, wanting the other bone and lost it all. You can't help but feel sorry for Jack (Oldman) for what he lost, but this was a hell of his own creation that he has to live with for the rest of his life.
