In short no. They will reflect the sunlight and the glint will reveal your location. Also, they need to be safety glasses or the lenses will just get shot out and cause damage to your eye. Don't skimp on safety for your eyes. Shaded lenses also don't help you spot people in lower light conditions or deep shade. Go for clear, mesh or yellow lenses.

You will find that the slower you move the less chance you will be seen; however, you will not cover much ground at all. Speed of movement is key to stalking and no fixed rule will be correct in all situations/terrains.

practice bringing the gun up on target and squeezing off your shot at home without cocking the rifle. Practice balance, to improve stalking skills. Keep fit to improve overall performance. Practice moving in slow motion and using your eyes more than your head.

Get a BAR10 and slowly upgrade it. Just use elastics to make a better natural ghillie.

Its the best choice as some other maybe more powerful but are not as accurate. Upgrading is easy and there are plenty of vids on here showing you how to do it. Plus you don't have to upgrade if you don't want to (its ok out of the box).

Yes, you could pay a company to upgrade it before sending it, but won't be cheap and may not be lubricated/fitted properly. Simply look up a guide to stripping it on Youtube. Just be sure to never overtighten any screw, just nip them and if you can use threadlock

It fires around 400fps out of the box (which is ample for a first rifle). Just be sure to use 0.28g pellets or heavier. Use it straight out of the box to get a benchmark to measure any against any "upgrades."

JG BAR10 is a good first dabble into bolt actions. Capable of taking it the vsr10 upgrades, you won't have to replace it later on.

being ex 2PARA i find it was best to make a suit out of 94 pattern DPM with cotton scrim netting and a pocket full of rubber bands to attach grass, straw etc. only used to use it to break up the human shape and break up webbing pouch shapes. shame you have to wear them goggles. stands out a mile. find gortech/ water proofs make too much noise too. ps light cammo stands out a mile when you gain your night eyes. plus it shows up on a night scope. nordic sweaters dont glow on night scopes

After much discussion; This year we will be putting on HUNTEERING COURSES that go over the skills required to play. Players who attend and pass the course will be able to attend events.

Sorry if that sounds elitist, but thats the way it is. We have experience of running Airsoft events, so know the problems of the sport and therefore have to vet people as being trustworthy and competent. More details will be posted on our forum (look for link on our website).

No offence m8, but you do the maths of what you just said; 10 hours to do 100 feet. There are many myths about "snipers" and that is one of them. In our HUNTEERING events you must complete a navigation course that is a minimum of 2km, each day (they are often 2-5 day games). Choosing the correct speed at the correct time, is halfway to being good at stalking/hunteering.

I am not a navy seal sniper. I am a hunteer, there is a massive difference. My shots do not go hundreds of yards for a start. Crawling 1 inch per 30 seconds still doesn't mean you will get the drop on people. Besides after all of that moving so slowly, how do they have a crap without making movement??? Perhaps they don't wipe?

Ok sorry, I just get abit fed up of people comparing this to military sniping. Please notice the word sniper is not in the title. Ghillies were not invented by the military. If you want results in my game, you can't afford to only move a handfull of yards all day. Ghillies are designed for staying still, but it would have been a dull/easy film to make; don't you agree?

Wear clothing with elasticated cuffs and a mesh head net. Very rare I get a tick, if I stay covered up. I don't use insect repellent.

well a good way is getting a long piece of elastcated strapping and tye a hoop, slip the hoop round the barrel of your rifle, then wind it round your gun and tie it to the rear sling hoop, it should fit snugly against your rifle so you can slip natural foilage under it :)

I airsoft where the site limits are 350fps with no engagement range limit and up to 500fps with a 30m+ engagement limit. I do intend on upgrading the VSR to 350 at first, then maybe up to 500fps. More interested in accuracy than silence though. Cheers.

I suggest the BAR10 is a great starter platform with the ability to be upgraded to highest level. The hop in the l96 is not as good/consistant IMO.

phantom is right, i have a mauser clone of the L96 and it' pretty good out of the box, but it's consistency and range are not really top notch, plus upgrading is a b*tch, a bar 10 is indeed a much better platform if your looking for upgrades. i bought my L96 just because i love the design, i have no intention of using it for hunteering, just funskirmishes... hope i helped you.

Horrible. Stay far far away from any "sniper" platform made by KJW. Absolute trash.

Although it has high power, it's poor consistancy only make it good for 50m opponents in an actual game. Some players claim they can make it as good as a tanaka. If it's your first gun, I suggest a spring VSR/BAR is the best platform to consider, if you want performance rather than a wall hanger. Good Hunting ;)

I suggest the Maruzen rifles need a bit of tweaking compared to the highly consistant VSR10 series by Tokyo Marui. The TM feels cheaper and needs upgrading, but is a better platform. Tanaka make the best gas rifles, although to get the best out of them you need to convert the hop/barrel system to VSR10 compatible. Hope that helps. Good Hunting ;)

The VSR10 G-SPEC is the quietest rifle and often people don't hear your shots (even if you miss!) it is only 300fps. Use 0.25g pellets in it. Good Hunting ;)

Yes the TM M14 has awesome range + accuracy. It is pretty quiet too and very reliable. However it is not cheap or amazingly powerful. The Cyma m14 is suppossed to be good but I have not seen one. Good Hunting ;)

well like if you have netting you can easily slip dead grass or ferns inbetween it. if you dont got netting i dont know it depends on what surface you are putting the vegetation on,exp(jacket,shirt,pants.)
