if this is what is meant by freedom, then freedom equates violence and contributes nothing to a nation but chaos and economic ruin. peaceful demo people. if the police use force to disperse you, retreat and regroup. fighting back only chance some innocent people getting seriously wounded, or in some cases, death - which is not the intend of the demo.

America has had its fair share of riots but what concerns me about South Korea is their neighbors to the north. This chaos only weakens them. Their thirst for competition and unified activities works against them when it takes the form of rioting. It's too bad they don't focus that anger at the dictator staving their kin to death in N. Korea.

2) How are they "unarmed" when theyre using sticks and shovels (and much more)?

3) The police will try to disperse you when you demostrate without the permit, because illegal demonstrations like this causes massively disorder like trafic chaoe

When I was in Korea during this time, I would ride in taxis and the drivers wil tell me how much these demonstrations are contributing to traffic chaos.

The reason why the protesters got angry was that the police used several water cannons directly to civilians just for the dismissal.

The protesters are not riots.

this broadcasting contains nothing but the scenes that some protesters were beaten by the korean police one-sidely. the police do not put down the peacefull demontration like that. of course, it is necessary that the governmet should take safety of civilians as well as particpants into serious consideration in suppression. likewise protesters also should take part in gatherings and demontrations peacefully without occupying the roads illegally, destroying police buses using the perilous tools.
