Yes, the bayonet is affixed to the right side in the conventional method of the period.
After each shot the blade vibrated for about half a second.

We intend to add Fusilier M/60 and Jager M/65, plus M/65 Beck conversion - the ultimate military Dreyse.
Still on the needle ignition theme, adding Mle. 1866 Chassepot Cavalry carbine and Italian M.67 Carcano at a future date.
Mle. 1866 fusil recoil is quite punishing bench rested or prone, Cavalry carbine is even more so.
Fixed bayonet Mle. 1866 fusil altered point of impact, Dreyse M/41 and M/62 were regulated with bayonet fixed.
