ok ive got my iiview working using netbook boot maker, ive got all but 2 things working if you help me out on this i can right a very simple guide to getting this working all i need working in the iiview now is the wifi, bluetooth and most importantly the ethernet
ive tried using that guide and i keep getting errors step by step word for word how the hell did you get mac osx snow leopard working on the A2 ive been working all week trying to figure it out
Thinking of getting one of these and putting SL on it. I see that the wireless needs to be changed and that the appropriate replacement is available on ebay. I was wondering if the wireless card is difficult to locate/replace in the iiView itself (i.e.: do you have to take the unit apart?)
Is the fan on yours annoying loud (the one on the back)? I got OSX installed (everything working) but the fan is too loud for me + the "." key is really annoying located. Are your experiences similar?
it depends, on bootup it goes really loud.. but goes down.. when i start from sleep and just keep it simple, (mail music surfing etc) it is low.. but after watching a couple of youtube videos it goes crazy.. Enter key and the small shift key to the right is my biggest enemy :)
Thanks for this... I just ordered the iiView a2. Are you pretty happy with it, especially performance wise? I want to do dual-boot with Windows 7 if possible.
I own an two A2's, great little laptop!, windows 7 runs great on it. I tried using Psystar's EFI bootloader (no success) and LifeHackers instruction on creating a bootable snow leopard thumb drive (no success) Would you be willing to send me instructions? My wife really would like to have Snow Leopard on hers. I use mine at work, so I'm sticking with Windows 7.
both usb ports work excellent, just that i choose to have a bluetooth adaptor in one of mine.. haven¨t tried a external dvd writer with the computer but it has a large hdd so i don¨t really see the point in a external dvd
Thanks for the reply. Sorry to be asking again. Does it support dual OS boot, eg. Windows 7 and OSX? since the hdd is 320GB which is big enough for two OS to co-exist.
yeah had mine up and running with both windows 7 and leopard 10.5.8 for a while with Chameleon rc3 bootloader.. I thought snow leopard worked out better on this laptop so i decided to remove windows 7.. it can be really frustrating to make the dual boot work if you don't know what your doing.. if you have played around with the "hackintosh"project before it won't be a problem fixing a dualboot
runs imovie in this pc? the ilife11?
