Thank you. Ready to mulch now :-) I've got two year old wisteria that isn't growing as quickly as hoped. Need to find one of those handy weed tools (thanks for mentioning it) and then get mulching!
Prevent weeds altogether by installing a bucket garden. The Garden Master has perfected this method by years of experience including a 40 acre farm of organic vegetables. Check out The Garden Master videos
This one 5-minute video saved this mulch novice a lot more reading time. The presentation was easy to follow and full of good advice. Had I not watched it, I wouldn't have watered before mulching. Two other how-to websites did not mention this step, which the video says is crucial. Also good to know how long, on average, it takes various types of mulch to break down.
grow and use wild gourd leaves and put it into the mulch, nothing eats it in the bug world, then make into spray and keep bugs off your crops, no more pesticide.
By the way, if anyone who reads this is interested, I've started a blog about veggie gardening and self sufficiency, so if you're interestd, give me a yell on my you tube account or email me at theveggiedude@ h o t m a i l . c o m

Try sheep wool for mulch! I have the best experiences! You get it nearly for free from shepherds.
