  • You support Free Trade? Every country protects its market besides the U.S.. Companies move overseas taking jobs with them and cheap goods flood in lowering U.S. wages (less profit for U.S. companies). Why do you think Walmart is the number 1 employer in this country? China bans almost all electronic import - is that ok with you? Americans are made to compete with slave labor overseas - that ok?

You are way off - protect our markets, force corporations back to the U.S., inact tariffs!

  • You're one smart cookie, and you are so right!

  • when there job gets sent to another country they won,t be able to afford the cheaper goods either

  • Hey Kathryn good job on helping china economy stronger then ours

  • Proof the Chinese support Ron Paul.

    youtube.com/watch?v=eo2tA3gBOWc

  • @ZaeViola Of course the China does because we pretty made their economy

  • Visit bluerepublican . org for more information on voting in the primaries to ensure that Ron Paul is the GOP nominee.

  • Of course free trade helps the economy. Cutting off trade is just another word for "blockade"... and we blockade the enemy in a war, not ourselves!

...North Korea has been trying the no-trade approach for decades, and even with all our foreign aid they're still starving!

  • I think you should concatenate a few of these videos together, maybe do them in groups of ten and then they would get more views as a whole.

  • Looks like I will just vote for Paul for President and all Democrats for everything else. They will mostly be on board with his antiwar agenda and will also support ending free trade agreements, but won't get rid of tariffs if Paul tries to do that. I guess I want him in with some moderating influences.

  • @esc1127 Don't just go with Democrats all the time. Most of them are just as full of crap about ending wars as Obama is. And the problem is most truly do support more government controlling our lives and they support anticompetitive practices. You have to evaluate each candidate. For instance Tom Coburn is a Republican and he's decent compared to most. You can also always vote Libertarian that way you can at least sleep at night knowing you didn't put a crook in office.

  • I like how Ron Paul votes against free trade agreements like NAFTA, but I think we do need to raise tariffs more after getting rid of NAFTA and other agreements.

If you want low taxes like Paul Supports, then we need revenue from somewhere, tariffs are the traditional way for the US to raise revenue. Also they will protect jobs, meaning we have to spend less on benefits. There is an optimal rate we can raise tariffs to that will maximize revenue and we are far below it.

  • gorgeous. and even sexier with those smarts

  • brainy and beautiful...

  • Slow down....you rock though.

  • FTA is a misnomer, when the government is setting the guidelines, it is essentially no longer free. Despite Ricardo's contributions regarding trade, free trade will not be supported by many if nationalistic element is operating in people's heads.

  • The U.S needs to create an environment that allows for U.S companies to compete against other countries. Ie: Minimum wage laws, social security, and medicare causes the cost of goods to go up. I know that many Americans are not willing to take lower wages but if we had immigration laws that were friendlier then the current system we have we can bring cheaper labor here. If we study the history of our nation we have always embraced immigration.

  • Have you taken an international trade class? I don't think so. That is all.

  • @jsl277212 Yes, I have. I suggest you read the work of Frederic Bastiat.

  • @kathryndelong HAHA....nice!

  • @jsl277212 In other words, "I imbibe the holy and sanctified words of my professor without thinking or considering opposing ideas, especially when those ideas have to be found if a book that I wasn't forced to buy."

  • @jsl277212 Wow! You took an "international trade" class? You must be the scourge of your local community college. I'll bet you can use big words too.

  • how about make something to exsport import our jobs back from china to hell with china they are are our favorite nation you know. they who run this trash heep want to bring this eagle down.they cant run a business or what .they fail because it is what they desire what they want millions of mexicans illegaly anything thats brings this eagle down they want it if it is smart they dont want it

  • This is where Ron's message gets muddled in the masses. The agreements being passed today are only "free trade" in name only. Free trade as you describe it, is only "free" if unencumbered and enforcible across the board. I think that will be very hard goal to acheive, not because it is impossible, but it is soo different people will have a hard time wrapping their minds around it. Ron IS the only one pushing for a change, so Ron Yes, NAFTA, CAFTA... No!!

  • You forgot one very very important thing: FREE TRADE is essential for world peace. You don't go to war with countries you trade with.

"When goods do not cross borders, armies will."

  • NICE"

  • You rule.

  • GREAT JOB. Very well explained. Thank you!

  • You have a higher quality of life and more mouths are fed with freedom than with fascism.

  • Another excellent video :)

  • @tat2dMama68 Thank you!!

  • asians, getting their shit together since the 1900's. you're a good adition to America, unlike roody-poos. bravo and Ron Paul 2012!

  • @saptemai ' Racist asshole! Leave my country! Why could'nt you just say' "great job" your a great patriot! Why did you categorize this person? Some day you'll realize we all get hit by the same flyin turds! Someday we'll all stand together and make one big pile of shit! Then we'll dry up and blow away together forever....See' we are all in this together!

  • @SUPERBWON

because i live in the real world and i have thankfully not been brainwashed by cultural marxism to think we're all equal. cause we're not. point here being, asians in the USA had nothing 100 years ago, just like roody-poos, now they are on average smarter and wealthier then the average american.

how's the "african-american" community doing? SHIT, just like in Africa, becasue we're not all equal.

learn to love your race, and salute value when u c it. like this girl.

  • @SUPERBWON The problem with "all in this together" is some people take advantage of the free ride. Being on their own might give them motivation to take care of themselves.

  • Have you considered the Free State Project, Kathryn?

  • @mrmailmandudebro Yes, I have! I am actually a student of Jason Sorens.

  • @kathryndelong Awesome! If you decide to make the move in the next couple of years, seek Eric and Anne Moon out! We're in the NH seacoast area ourselves. Made the move from Texas on September 1 of this year and we're loving it!

    Wonderful videos, keep it up!

  • Tariff is also a tool to prop up monopolies (often those who house big labor trade unions) along with regulations, subsidies and bail outs.

  • Thank you!

  • The free exchange of ideas, goods and services; along with not bombing your potential customer or provider would be a good step toward the people's ability to pursuit their own happiness. A true free-trade agreement should take up about 1/2 of an 8.5"X11" paper.

  • Ron Paul 2012!!
