@masterofuselessness The Ace250 is a great machine. The gold in this video (2 rings and the earring) we all found with my Ace250. The 18k was a solid penny signal and the 2 14k's we solid nickle signals - I was expecting to find coins and bam I was about knocked on my butt when I seen gold!!! I also found silver coins and jewelry with mine but my woods sites are super trashy and I needed a machine with better seperation, thats why I upgraded. I still have my Ace250 and use it on the beach.
830 is 83.0% or about 20k (20/24=83.3%). Same for any metal. 830 is called verksilver in Swedish. 925 is 92.5% and about 22k. If it is silver it's called Sterling Silver.
The small child ring with "830", verksilver, and that you call makers marks seems to be Swedish silver stamp. It looks to be the "Riksvapnet" or more commonly know in Sweden as "Kattfot" used for both gold and silver and the stamp "S" for silver. The oval shaped kattfot was used on imported (imported to Sweden) works from January 1:st 1913 until July 1:st 1988.
I keep trying to get my husband to use the metal detector I bought for him (that he asked for) to no avail. I suppose he thinks he doesn't need to learn how to use it since he is in fact a human treasure detector! He finds loose cash lying on the ground in parking lots, parks, malls and even in really remote locations while we are hiking. He also used to work at a business that shared a gravel parking lot with the bar next door. He found quite a few beautiful wedding rings from that lot.
Just found your channel..havent watched them all but so far love em. My question is about getting permission to hunt these areas. Here in NJ it seems impossible to hunt alot of the public areas especially state sites. being fairly new to detecting..how do you go about getting the permissions?
Hello...nice finds, I would just like to comment about the 925 sterling silver ring you've found but mentioned it as a costume jewelry silver ring...it is actually a marcasite ring with a genuine blue topaz stone...remember precious metals cannot be classified as costume jewelry and 99.9% of the time they contain genuine stones. I have been a jeweler for about 17 years now, and i have once upon a time sold that same ring! You have definitely gained a hell of a lot of profit. quoodos to you!
Great finds ! Did that 1st ring (mens 18k) show up as a strong nickel signal on your 250? I dig alot of foil due 2 the possibility of gold on the 5. Thanks 4 sharing !
Nice jewelry finds, TreasureFiend! Wow. 62 years ago a young gal named Mary was given a silver bracelet. If Mary is still alive, she's probably about 80 years old.
That is a lot of really nice jewelry! I haven't found much, but I did find a watch in my yard. I found a Tiffany's New York .925 silver charm in a parking lot! Keep finding those rings!
Good Video Treasurefiend! As you know my username is Detectingfreak on T-net so you have already seen everything I have found from coins to jewerly to junk.

So far 7 silver rings, and 2 silver bracelets. No gold yet. I'm sure its because I've been picky with my signals while coin shooting.

I've always hunted public areas and never needed to ask permission. I hope somebody chimes in and gets you an answer.
