What he does best in my opinion, is paying attention to her cues (yes, HER cues) and mirroring her. Notice he mirrors her little funny gestures more than once. She relaxes and smiles every time he does that. He does it naturally so it does not seem mocking by the way. He also smiles a lot and does not seem to push at any point.
