  • Great song and a great American! Thanks!

  • thank you JIMMIE VAUGHAN for playing this song on the steps of the Texas State Capitol--now, ON TO WASHINGTON!! YOUR LYRICS are REMARKABLE--a heartsong for U.S.A.! @Donna Lynn

  • I like the idea that Jimmy has used his signature Gretsch guitar for making his clear statement for liberty - Gretsch was always a kind of a rebels guitar and I hope this spirit will live on in the future!

  • Love it.

  • Relevant today. Thanks Jimmie...

  • Amen Jimmie! If they ever try to stick a chip in me, I'll stick up their #@sses.

  • Texas will probably be the first state to succeed from the union. Were all on the Titanic and I ain't waitin to "take on a little ice" while the politicians "re-arrange the deck chairs"

  • why is Alex Jones giving Jimmie the finger at 1:05 ? he should be bitch slapped for that!!!

  • @thebluesrockers Lol, i think Alex was just kicking it. He Love's Jimmy's music, there is no way he flipped that dude the bird.

  • I love Jimmie, I have had this in my favorites for over a year. I just had to come back here to listen to this great jam. I really wish I could have been there. Did you get to meet him? , or was it only a great scene you got to record? I also was wondering if Jimmie spoke before this tune? and what he may have said?

  • I love the message and of course I LOVE Jimmy Vaughan!!! The best!! Joey Vaughan "World Blues Attack"

  • I can't hang with right wing politics, but Jimmie is the coolest regardless.

  • Alex Jones clearly stealing cam behind scenes..at the beginning hahahaha...such a MORON...!!

  • @mateous11 Looks like he is giving Jimmy the middle finger from both hands.

    pf

  • LOL was that alex jones in the background?

  • Yes! It was a great day all-around.

  • It sure looked like him.

  • @emergence999 yeah i think it is Alex Jones

  • This is great! Shame on big brother.

  • Great Libertarian anthem from one of Texas' greatest libertarians, and one of Texas' best guitarists.

  • Glad you enjoyed it. And that people are still discovering it!

  • great video, thanks!

  • We will have our Homeland and our Liberty Forever, as long as we Defend them.

We will never reach a point where it is over and we have won.

The Fight for Freedom is Eternal.

  • great song, FUCK THE RFID, BIG BROTHER, fuck the CIA, federal reserve and the NAFTA highway, -KILLUMINATI- fuck the satanic free masons, WAKE UP AND LEARN /SEARCH

  • this guy is just the best.

  • Jimmy can jam, just like stevie. What a great family.

  • Very delta-fied, not used to seeing and hearing Jimmy play that way but I like it.

  • Haha Jimmie's ageing. You cant compare him and his brother and say Stevie is better coz theyre just 2 completely different players.

  • This shit gives me the chills...

    Jimmy...way to go!

  • Hmm...where have I heard this song before?

    ;-)

Great lyrics, great blues man, and his brother is a legend also...

  • Ain't it the TRUTH?! When will my Countrymen WAKE THE HELL UP? When they TANK the dollar & they lose their wealth? When they are SICK of the "checkpoints?" When their kids get tasered/murdered by the militarized police? WHAT WILL IT TAKE?! SOMEBODY TELL ME, PLEASE!!!!!!

  • Even better than stevie, ya im joking, awesome playing!

  • I wonder if Jimmie is a supporter of fellow Texan Ron Paul's run for president?

  • He is. He's played at at at least one Ron Paul benefit.

  • amazing

  • It takes balls to speak against the "Texas Two" when your from there! Congrats, and I can't wait until 2009.

  • He who trades liberty for security deserves neither...Benjamin Franklin.

  • What an amazing guitar player! Jimmie is simply amazing. I'm even more inspired on how much he LOVES this counry to put out such a deep, important song. Jimmie knows about the globalists and the NAU. That is why he supports Alex Jones because regardless of what you think of Alex he is doing more then YOU are for this country! What are you doing for the Untied States of America?

  • Jimmie Vaughan is a true American Patriot and I agree with his message...There is nothing American or free about being tracked like dogs. Our Founding Fathers would think this is despicable and against everything people fought and died for to make this country great. God Bless America!!!

  • -NOT. Alex is one of the most powerful forces around for getting the message you agree with out there.

  • I live in Austin and I missed this?!! Dammit!@! I didn't know it was happening. I LOVE Jimmie Vaughan. Thanks for posting this.

  • Don't mess with Texas?

This is so encouraging to see! We need more celebs to wake up and smell the fascism and GET OUT THERE and STIR PEOPLE UP!! Come on, America! We need to take the reins back from the corrupt elite.

    RP 08 FTW

  • bad ass.

  • oh thanks also double thanks for the video

  • my question is who is that guy in the background with the bluish purple shirt at 1:05 mark..it looks like he's flicking off everybody?

  • Infowars Alex Jones in the background, the guy who gets Jimmy Vaughn to play his events. This is Alex Jones' event, fight the govt. tyranny, Big Brother, tollways in Texas where Gov. Perry is sitting on 15 BILLION dollars of our tax money but builds and sells tollways to Spain, microchips, Homeland Security who never arrests anyone but US citizens. The list is endless.

  • Jimmie IS a big brother hahaha. And a mother of a player too LOL

  • I worship the ground you walk on jimmie!!! I got a chance to meet him once after a show in Houston Tx. He was the coolest guy ever yall...BluesPower

TEXAS PRIDE, AND DAMN PROUD TO BE A TEXAS AMERICAN!!!

DOWN WITH BIG BROTHA AND ANYONE WHO TRIES TO TAKE OUR FREEDOM..AND TO ALL OUR FATHERS,WIFES,SONS,DAUGHTERS IN IRAQ AND AFGHANISTAN COME HOME SAFE!!!!

    REMEMBER THE FALLEN FOREVER EVERYONE....

  • ur right

  • Thatt's Alex Jones and he is definitely not flicking off everybody, or anybody! It's hard to make out the gesture, but he is probably giving some kind of instructions to the cameraman in the black shirt. Either that or a thumbs-up/victory kind of thing.

  • This is great. This is a side of Jimmy I didn't expect. I like this acoustic stuff more than most who do this style of acoustic blues.

  • for political propaganda this song is pure delta blues, great walking beat. he is so underated as a guitarist clapton smirks at jimmies solos, but i think old god himself would like this one.

  • i honestly don't think Clapton is smirking at Jimmie ever, he's just smiling or laughing like the rest of us from enjoying how funky and trippy and deep and surprising Jimmie's playing is. Clapton did use Jimmie's band as the house band for the 2006 Crossroads Festival as I recall too. I agree Jimmie is underrated, though, and really dig him in this 'message' song setting. hope he does more of this.

  • could anyone tell me, on which album is this song?

  • I don't think it's on any album yet. - M

  • Jimmie is just so fucking good it's crazy, and he burns on this political shit, like everything he plays. a soulful person who means what he says and plays. hope he writes some more in this direction.

  • Before asking for a crystal ball: sometimes all you need to do is watch the news instead of the lottery show sometimes. ;)

  • This is pretty good. Its really good to see some new material from him.

  • Awesome and very cool performance, well done Jimmie!

I always thought it was a shame however that Jimmie and SRV performed at George Bush's (Sr.) inaugural ball in 1988 and that Jimmie has also supported the younger one. Jimmie who nowadays says that he considers himself neither a Republican nor a Democrat but a "Libertarian" has interestingly conceded recently that "[a]ll the events [since September 11] have made me think".

  • So what Jimmy performed for the first Pres Bush, and so what if he performed for W. Sometimes folks act like we know before hand what a person is going to do once they get in office. If you have a crystal ball I'd like to borrow it long enough to get the Powerball numbers.

  • <My> dumb mistake, leaving out Ray; the minute after I pressed "send" I could have kicked myself. (I'm proud that Willie Nelson is listening, though. Thanks, Willie).

  • Dumb question but is this Stevie's kid?

  • He's Stevie's big brother. (not a dumb question)

  • Thanks, sad too see Ray go.

  • absolutely not a dumb question, and hope you'll spend some time listening to Stevies #1 inspiration and standard, Jimmie Vaughan.

  • I love Jimmie Vaughan, great too se a new video. Thanks :)

  • Thanks for watching! Tell your friends.

  • Jimmie is one of the most under-rated guitarists ever. Can't get enough of him, personally.

  • now we can change that by supporting his music! I;m sure his little brother Stevie ray would what it that way don't you think?

  • This is the new Anthem for the Freedom movement! Down with big brother! No shackles! No RFID!

  • Fight for Texas! Save it before its too late.

  • And not just Texas. This affects the entire country. But Texas is in the forefront of the fight. As Texas goes, so goes the U.S.A.

  • The NAU must be halted, and further more the one world governtment, ID chips, and all of it. You don't have to be religious to see it's fufilling revelation... not good... people thoughout the ages have thought they were living in "the times" but I'd say their evidence doesn't hold a candle to ours.
