This morning i was hiking up on Mt. Pokalda, and two elderly Nepalese women walked by. In their language i understood they were talking about their great niece, whom had recently had a baby at 15. They were chatting rather loudly about how many problems she would have, and this baby would create many problems for her as well, as she was so young. BUT Jesus may not have said anything about homosexuality, but God made it clear in the odd testement, (Leviticus 18:22-24 to be percise) about laying down with the same sex is an abomination to Him. I got a serious question. Yeah thats true and it should be preached constantly. But you gotta know that the bible says that not all who go to church will be saved. This morning i was hiking up on Mt. Pokalda, and two elderly Nepalese women walked by. In their language i understood they were talking about their great niece, whom had recently had a baby at 15. They were chatting rather loudly about how many problems she would have, and this baby would create many problems for her as well, as she was so young. It made me realize that i too should turn away from my sexual desires and focus more on my god, who is greatly discrimished here. Thankyou lord

I do agree that this song is about forgiveness and Jesus' love for all of us. BUT Jesus may not have said anything about homosexuality, but God made it clear in the odd testement, (Leviticus 18:22-24 to be percise) about laying down with the same sex is an abomination to Him. Therefore it is a sin, just like lieing, cheating, adultery and the countless others we have. All sin is measured equal. But it's about Jesus' sacrifice for us, and about how he loves us, not what sin is worse than another.

St. Paul speaks about it, but he was addressing the fact that owners of slaves were bedding with young male slaves while there wives were with child. Why is the cross considered such a holy symbol just because Jesus died on it, when the long history of the cross repesented a old traditional method of execution for hundreds of thounsands of criminals? The debates about religion are irrelevant, but God isn't because he's not religion in the first place. I think it amounts to this: there are two ways. One recognizes God and that person says thy will be done. The other rejects God and God says to him THY will be done. That is what hell really is I think.. not a sentence or judgement but a choice, an eternal trajectory where one gets exactly what they ask for, seperated forever because they didn't want it. Nothing could be worse.

Homosexuality IS a sin, but you guys are confusing the distinction between the sin and the sinner and that's the whole point. Jesus never said one sin was worse than any other, he said all are sinners. That's the disease, the human condition. No one is exempt. NO ONE. He said sacrifice something for my sake, and that's why I know gay people who do exactly that: they're gay but they don't act on it because they love Jesus more than themselves, but it's not just them-we all must do the same.

But he wants us to learn from our mistakes and not just keep doing the same thing and asking for forgiveness. We are not the light. Jesus said you are the light because the Lord's light is shining - Does not mean we cannot be in darkness after being saved. That is why we are still not in heaven. That is why the Bible says if anyone say he has no sin he is deceiving himself. If homosexuality and what not needs to be stopped God can do that with the word. Sin was dealt with on the cross. It is original Sin that needs to be dealt with not homosexuality. It is true that God hates sin. But people, especially churchies, like tinkering on the edges of sin. Whether it be homosexuality or fornication etc. Through Jesus Christ we have a relationship with God ,which the original sin deprived us of. Through having a PERSONAL relationship with God, He will lead us to complete salvation. So, not having a gay lifestyle or not being a murderer for that matter has little to do with salvation.

It's not the person, it is the act commited by the person that lables him/her. Yes Churchies sin. I sin, but I can ask for forgivness. And by MY faith I know he is just and willing to forgive me. Romans 3:22-24 This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference,

@sneedge yes I understand that, but to be forgiven you most be willing to stop the sining and become a better person, becuase if you were to ask for forgiveness and be forgiven and than murder again it will never end and god would be disappointed like the rest of us, so if you seek for forgiveness you most be willing to change your ways =3

@Johanne0531 God is willing to forgive any sin we commit, but if you think we can consistently sin without incurring judgement, you are severely wrong. Hebrews 10:26 "For if we go on sinning deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a fearful expectation of judgment, and a fury of fire that will consume the adversaries."

If we claim to have come from darkness to light, then our life will be showing it. Sin will no longer hold power over us, and it will not be the pattern of our lives.

Yeah thats true and it should be preached constantly. But you gotta know that the bible says that not all who go to church will be saved. This is because no matter how constantly you preach it, there will be some that go to church just because and just to look good and just to give respect etc, and those "some" are the ones that won't make it.. and deep down, they know it.

@Johanne0531 so many of us talk, but I have one question. If you had a child that was murdered, or raped or buggered can you say that you can love that muderer or rapest or... even more, they ask God for forgiveness and they are forgiven and die and go to heaven, how will you feel. Can you still say love and forgive them when they hurt one of your own? Nothing hits harder than when it hits home. I know and I know the struggle it is when you have to forgive, but Peace is worth it.
