I tried your recipe, but I used all purpose flour. Like you said, the cake didn't taste good because it wasn't cake flour. It was sticky and very thick in texture. Next time I make this, I'll try using cake flour.
I have a question...can I use regular flour instead of cake flour? Have you tried making it with just regular flour? I want to try this recipe, but don't have the cake flour and I was wondering if I can subsitute the it with flour instead.

can you put it in a round 9'' pan and not a tube pan? inverting the cake pan is supposed to stop it from sinking?

SUBSTITUTE for cake flour if you dont have it.
3/4 cup (105 grams) all purpose flour plus 2 tablespoons (30 grams) cornstarch
MAKES 1 CUP (130G)

@EnjoyingLife100 I haven't tried with all purpose flour but I am sure it will be OK. The cake texture may not be very silky.
