  • You guys are rediculice...You know that Little Shop is a spoof so why not make suddenly seymour a little risque. Also the plant is different becuase the designers wanted it to look different than the movie...no big deal. You guys are overeacting like little babies wh

  • Little Shop of Horrors: Porno Edition.

  • Did they make Suddenly Seymour a porn?

  • This sucks.

  • wtf?!?!?

  • This looks worse than the Broadway revival- and that's BAD.

  • i saw this, was great lol

  • All I can say is... AMERICA!!!

  • This is on my bucket list of musicals i NEED to be in before i die:)

  • @111Jabberwocky

Sheridan Smith is on my bucket list of women i NEED to BE IN before i die :-)

  • @thespinner1112 LOLZ Have fun with that

  • Lucie bleedin' Miller!

  • If you didn't see this show in the west end, with this cast, then just stfu, because it was amazing. And Sheridan Smith was the best Audrey I've ever seen. Just coz you don't see her be emotional in this video doesn't mean she wasn't. If you weren't there then you don't know shit, do you? She could play innocent, vulnerable, brave yet sexy at the same time. And her voice is mindblowing. So just shut up insulting this show unless you actually saw it!

  • omg i hate that plant the worst looking Audrey II

  • British people don't know shit about america and if it takes place in skid row get some black people in the cast

  • haha wasnt expecting Audry II to pop out at the end lolz

  • urgh she doesnt capture the sweetness of audrey at all

  • I bet all of you who are putting bad comments haven't even seen the show. I have and it was beyond words. It was amazing! You either haven't seen it or are american and don't understand our sense of humour.

  • @BOWYERD999555 It has nothing to do with being American. It was created by Americans, for chrissakes! Don't bring that crap into it.

However, I'm sure it was a good show.

  • The middle girl of the three girls throws them All off

  • shes not playing it slutty, if you've ever seen Sheridan Smith perform you see she likes to be comical and ad lib.

  • kids in my highschool are doing better right now in rehersal, our show is the end of this month

  • Thy built the plant WRONG.

  • Levi Stubbs would kill the singer here by jealousy if he did one note.

  • well, they didn't know what audrey was meant to be like.

  • Seymour doesnt have glasses :(

  • i just saw legally blonde with sheridan smith. she is AMAZING!

  • I remember learning this plant. It's a pitcher plant. The sweet gel inside attracts insects which then become trapped and are digested. The producers obviously wanted a different look from the movie.

  • What kind of fucking plants do they have in london... my god!

  • if the plant would of eaten that one fat chick then he would of have been satisfied

  • What the heck did London do to this wonderful musical? They raped it!

  • The Thing About Video Trailers Is....Usually They Sound Alot Better When Your Watching The Show Live.

  • Oh my gosh, what is she doing on Suddenly Seymour???

"He purified me" and she's rubbing her boob!

    What. The. Crap!!

  • @auuggghhh I guess thats the way it goes down in West end lol!

  • i've actually seen the show, and its the best one i've seen in the westend - believe me, i've seen a lot. you cant get the thrill of the songs from a screen - but these songs really send shivers up your spine. sheridan smith especially sent one up mine, as well as the combined effort of the three girls. the plant was hella awesome, and i don't think i could fault it. seeing something live is much different to on a screen, just remember that before you judge them.

  • From what I'm hearing it sounds kind of flat.

  • the three girls are so not into it! They look like they're falling asleep, and audrey is waaaay too skanky. Even in the movie where she was barely wearing anything she was waaay more innocent than that.

  • they just took all of the awesome songs in Little Shop and made them sooo boring. Where's the energy???

  • the plant looks realy weird its stupid

  • I disagree @TeamSeymour . Sheridan plays the part as ditsy and the ways that Audrey is stereotypically until that part of 'Suddenly Seymour' where she just lets rip. Did you see it or not?

  • as a londoner this upsets me...this is the best they could fucking do!!!

    wow that sucks.

  • The set, the plant, Audrey, and the 3 girls. No. No. No. Annnnd. No.

  • nope...I'm not feeling it.. especially Audrey and the three ladies...not feeling it...sorry.

  • audrey 2 looks weird... and his name is not "The Dentist"... gosh

  • I really like the pitcher plant concept for Audrey II. I think it works just as well as the venus flytrap concept.

  • where's seymours glasses????!!!!

  • This recording of the 3 girls isn't good.....I saw it live twice and thought they were excellent, as was Sheridan Smith.

  • Is this a high school musical??????? If not then they suck!!!!!!!!!

  • audrey sucks

  • God those girls fucked up the songs so badly D8

  • Oh. My. The Three Girls seem to be... just... not very good. At all.

  • @Lexigiggles I admit that this vid dosen't show off any of the cast that well tbh.....BUTT....

    Live it was AMAZZIIIIINGG,

And I'm not even joking.....EVERY Single member of the casttt were FAABBB!!! :) :)

  • Wow, the guy doing the voice of Audrey II has lost alot of weight, he looks great. good for him

  • I need a clip of Alistair!!!!!!

  • been to seen this its wiked :) MUSTT SEE :)

  • That Audery 2 is STUPID looking!! HOW in the F**K is that supposed to be a plant???

  • while the set looks really cool, they appear to have butchered the music and the deliverance of the songs and lines - accent disregarded. ugh.

and that plant is just weird.

  • it looks...awfull

  • the three girls are inexplicably. impossibly. horribly. undoubtedly. awfully. FLAT.

  • The three girls aren;t very good.

  • I don't think any thing about this play works with the brits.

  • if there good enough actors, I think it works.

I don't think your country of origin has anything to do with it

  • noo, sheridan smith is amazinggg

  • wtf is 2:29 about?????!!!!!???? its too much rite there suddenly seymour shuld be a cute touching song not a lust kinda song

  • @sandee12341 I KNOW! Audrey's acting like a ditsy little, well, i don't.... How do you spell s-l-u-g-h-t?

  • His elf ears really bother me :o

  • She's a little too "out there" for the song "Suddenly Seymour" She's almost acting a little, well, s-l-u-t-t-y, and she's not supposed to be, she's supposed to be acting real.

  • @TeamSeymour i might be the directors that wanted that and not sheridan

  • @TeamSeymour deff agree - i swear audreys suppose to be ditsy, cute, blonde and innocent but have such a big heart - not a slut!!!!!

  • @TeamSeymour dude i agree i luv the movie and im not to pleased

  • @TeamSeymour Its meant to be a COMEDY musical - I have to say seeing Sheridan in this production three times (both at the Chocolate Factory and Duke of Yorks) she managed to portray both the vulnerability and sadness of Audrey ('Somewhere Thats Green' was always delivered with some sincere tears) as well as the fun, bubbly side of the character Ellen Greene brought to life (and no I a NOT comparing Sheridan and Ellen before any purists kick off - I love Ellen as much as the next LSOH addict!).

  • @TeamSeymour well it is supposed to be funny so it doesn't really matter

  • @TeamSeymour That's the director's fault, not the actress. And is a different interpretation I guess

  • @TeamSeymour Well, Little Shop is all about being a spoof so we need to keep remebering that

  • The three girls really butchered that song

  • @matsocool agreed lol

  • The understudy for Audrey II's voice was MUCH better.

  • I think Audrey's new design is definitely creative if not a bit weird--they did base it on the pitcher plant, which is carnivorous, and I'm guessing it made the "devouring" scenes easier. For some reason though, Audrey II's voice sounds like it has a New York accent.

  • British can't do this play at all. The guy is overdoing his East Coast accent and his voice is too high. It is funny because his actual voice is deep, so why would he change the pitch so drastically?! Sounds stupid. I enjoyed the high school version more than this one.

  • Seen every British version ever produced, have you? If not, how can you make such a ludicrous generalisation?

  • lol i luv Sheridan smith!! shes so funny in two pints of lager and a packet of crisps!! x

  • i dont really like audrey 2's design or voice

  • thats exacly what I ways thinking, his voics is too, high. and, come on people it looks like a green toliet bowl with teeth! and for seymore, not terrible, but not great. And for all of you asking, yes there is an armidillo in my pants

  • y cause it dosnt look like the one in the movie

  • no, im all for diffrent. but i just dont like the design

  • Eh.

  • sheriden is good here. i remember seeing the show when it transferred to the west end. I cant wait to see her as Elle Woods

  • i don't like the chours, but everything else looks so astounding. the plant, the acting! best audrey since ellen greene, and best seymour EVER.

  • You are over exaggerating. Ellen Greene is way better. Her voice is so soulful.

  • best audrey SINCE ellen greene >.> so yea.

  • Haha WTF is up with that Audrey II? lol it looks super dorky

  • Ummm . . . Why would you give away the major plot point about the ending?

  • what a terrible choice for audrey...

  • Are you kidding?! Sheriden Smith's incredibly talented, you can't just judge her for stuff like Two Pints.

  • Oh My God. You obviously have never seen her in the role.

  • Hahah why would I ''thumbs down''? lol. I can understand where you are coming from. I'm really not the biggest Sheridan fan, I never really enjoyed ''Two Pints....'. But it would be intresting to see her in something like this. I quiet honestly was blown away by Clair Buckfields performance, I never would have expected that voice to come out of her! :-) But like I said, I can definetly see where you are coming from.

  • I saw that tour! Alex Ferns was amazing, so was Damian Humbley who played Seymore! :-D. Did you have fun?

  • Damien Humbley was amazing!

    And so nice too afterwards!:D

  • honestly, i don't like this version that much

  • Kinda' weird seeng a non-pod Audrey II. :S

  • i saw this when it was on tour in march! im playing audrey in june/july thisa year at school! i gt so many ideas of who audrey was from watching this!

  • the plant doesn't look like a mean green mother from outta space in this...keep to the original look

  • i dont like it

  • paul keating is so HOT !!!

  • Saw This Show On Tour Last Week In Sheffield :) Flipping Amazing! :) :)

  • yeah me too!! all the cast were fab!

  • i saw it at Milton Keynes, :D

    did you see this cast?

  • saw it in london and again last week on tour AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DA DOO :p

  • Ive seen the show and its ok but u should watch it

  • i'm glad tey chose a different look for the plant even if it doesn't look as good as the 1986 movie version

  • that plant looks soo wierd!!

  • @pickupthephonewasup That's because it was based on different kind of plant that we're used to , in the London it was based on a pot fly trap, we're used to seeing a sort of venus fly trap.

  • Interesting take on the plant, I've seen too many shows where they just try to replicate the 1986 film version, and it ends up looking like a bad stuffed animal.

  • thats a cool look for audry 2

  • uhmm audrey is not supposed to be slutty what is that actress doing during suddenly seymour!!??

  • she wasnt a slut in the full show only at that moment in suddenly seymour she was amazing live ;)

i think she would make a good penny in hairspray

  • Yeah I know I thought that too when I saw her dress! I played Audrey last year in our production and I had a 50s puffy dress on that was really cute and innocent haha

  • i have to agree, in that song shes supposed to be turning a new leaf

  • Comment removed

  • actually, she used to work in a nightclub wearing "cheap and tasteless outfits". So yeah, pretty sure she's meant to be a slut. But a sweet slut, who's turning over a new leaf.

  • anml91, she is ashamed of her cheap and tasteless outfits...haha she wouldn't be calling them cheap and tasteless if she was comfortable wearing them. she hated working her nights off in The Gutter. So yeah, she's not a slut, just looking for any way she can earn her way out of Skid Row.

  • No - if you listen carefully, she says 'I USED to wear cheap and tasteless outfits, not nice clothes like these' (or words to that effect). She believes the clothes she wears to be an improvement to what she used to wear.

She is torn between the 'perfect' life with Seymour, and having to dress to please Orin.

  • Well at least Sheridan Smith is holding her own.

  • 10.5? No, it goes all the way to 11!

  • seein this in brighton this show revival thing touring

  • Why did I not know this was on!!! Bugger! Sheridan AND Little Shop of Horrors in one place?! I WANT. Does anybody know if they'll do it again in 2009?

  • its on tour now

  • theres not much just that theres no drum role at the begining so it starts suddenly and makes ppl jump same as the begining of act 2 thats all i remember

  • saw this in london i loved it so much im seeing the tour in march

  • Mike McShane has lost a lot of weight since his days on Whose Line with Clive Anderson on da Beeb. the Three ronette chicks are hot especially the bigger white gal...Mercy!!!

  • 2 pints of lager n a pack

  • The tour is going ahead.

  • I saw this last year, so good! Everyone was cast really well. Shame it got took off WestEnd really

  • haha thats Sheridan Smith frm 2 pints of lager and a pcket of crisps

  • HAHAHA!!!!! Brittish characters lol

  • lol "he just gives me so much every night." what could she be talking about? *smirk, wink, wink*

  • i really wanted to see this just for sheridan smith's take on audrey

  • Saw this show twice, fantastic!!!!

  • is it still open or has it closed?

  • It's closed :( I saw it just under a year ago. I went back to London the other day to see LOTR before it closed, swung by the theatre, and it's been replaced by Stomp! How disappointing. It really was an amazing production, this video doesn't do it justice.

  • i sore it apsolutly amzing i love it the best thing EVER on the westend stage IM NOT KIDDING !!!!!!!!!

  • audrey 2 looks like a pitcher plant

  • ive met sheridon who plays audry when i went to watch 2 pints of larger she is ace. my step sister is friends with her

  • WOW! Mike McShane's half the man he used to be!

  • rofl! How true x

  • This plant looks like green mad eating erth warm.

  • Hmm. The vocals aren't my cup of tea. Overall, I prefer the splashier approach the Broadway Revival took. I've never really felt this show suffered on a larger scale. If the heart of the piece is respected and maintained, I can't think of any reason not to go big.

  • I love this and this looks really good and i have just done this and i was seymour!!!

BUT WOULD LOVE TO PLAY THE DENTIST!!!!

  • is it still running in the west end?

  • No it left in july 2007!! But it is tourin somewhere else!!

  • that was pretty good, but i think since I'm so used to the movie version and the original off Broadway production it just doesn't seem quite right. all the voices were simply amazing by the way,the only two things that bugged me were that i think Audrey should have been sweeter, she seemed to out there, and the plant was rather retarded. but other than that it was fantastic!

  • she was sweet just this video didnt show the it

    the whole show was amzing

  • Sheridan is BRILLIANT as Audrey!!!

at 2:00 i was just like, wow!!!

  • mike mcshane has lost SOOOOOOOO much weight since his whose line is it anyway days

  • teh plant SCARES MEH. :'[ its scary looking but it moves so life like! I WOULD CRY EVRYTIME I CRAWLED INTO THAT THING

  • Indeed this is not the original, quite different than the original, yet still entertaining nonetheless. Burlesque Little Shop of Horrors, how avante garde.

  • The urchins can't sing! Audrey gains no sympathy for herself and obviously does not understand the character! The set looks far too clean!

  • just to let u know when it moved to the duke of yourks theater on the west end it acualy made u feel like your in a ally or a shit hole and this video gave no justise to sheridan(audrey) and she was so sweet in the show

  • I agree about the Audrey, her voice is great for the part, but the way she plays out "Suddenly Seymour' is completely wrong. Audrey is supposed to be sorta timid in that moment cuz she aint used to people treating her kindly, for god sakes they mention that right out loud, so for her to be pretty much sexing up seymour onstage is just odd. I hate it when people turn that song into a comedic song, the show is funny, but i think at that moment it should just be pure romance.

  • i think like after audrey says he purified me, she feels purified able to express emotions and wants to sing to him because she realizes she loves him. i agree the first vers should be softer and timid but after purified it can either be expressed as exciting or vampish. thats my opinion please dun't get mad at me

  • I'm not mad, your right, after that verse she can come out of her "Shell" a little more, but not like become a stripper lol

  • lawsl wll i mean she'd be overwhelmed! lalws. like i lost my voice for a while *sobs at memory* and when it came back i really wanted to sing this with someone and the guy i liekd agreed and so i know from experience that its such an emotional romantic song it almost IMPOSSIBLE to keep your hands to yourself. xD but maybe she was little extreme reverse humping the wall and allbut like she did express being out of her shell well. like in a cower-from-molestation way. lawls. she had a great voice!

  • i went too see that it was amazing

  • strangest looking plant i've ever seen... but i like it. dont like the looks or orin. seymour is way cute. they really seem to do up the sex on "Suddenly Seymour".

  • Ican't wait for the tour.

  • I saw this at the menier chocolate factory near london bridge station and it was fucking excelent!!

i loved it and where it was such a little theatre we were really close to the performers.

sheridan is defoz my fave thou...shes such an excellent singer and actress

loved her in two pints also

  • That clip has really put me off.... i went down to london recently and was thrilled coz i was hoping to get some cheap last minute tickets to go see the show, then found out it was no longer running... i was GUTTED! but after seeing that clip i can see why to be honest, i thought the songs were all flat and a slutty audrey just doesn't do it for me...

  • acualy she wasnt slutty in the show she was so sweet she only did 2 thing 4 about a 3 seconds that were slutty and the songs went flat thay were great

  • i'm goin by what i've heard and seen in this clip, the show might be good on stage but as i haven't had the pleasure of going to see it i wouldn't know, but thanks for the insight.....

  • I've seen this twice, need to go see it at it's 3rd home now. GREAT SHOW!! I could see it each week (if I could afford it) and never get bored of it!!

  • woo sheridan

  • i only saw it once :( all the cast were amazing :)

  • you should have seen the 3 gals in the wellington ew Zeland production they were amazing, they would have made these gals look amatuer, sad that places like that don't get recognise and have some phenomenal talent!

  • American puppet is better in my opinion. This Seymour is good but he doesn't have the same effect as he would with his cap and glasses. And Yea Kerry Butler is better as Audrey.

  • I agree.
