@Mikayla13e That movie was cr@p compared to this , the movie had loads of wrong things in it , they even had Anne surprised to find out she was German , Anne knew all her life she was German , fs she even writes in her diary about her Fatherland being taken over by the Nazis , This is as real as it can be based on actual facts , not movie " creative license "
@capcom1 omg are you serious?!?! This move is terrible! The characters don't look anything like there supposed to, and it's cheaply made. Anne was never that romantic with Peter. Also, Anne wasn't suprised she was German, she just didn't like the fact that she was German because they were killing all the Jews. And what are you, 10 years old? You don't know shit!
@Mikayla13e No actually this was more honest to Anne's Dairy...the 2001 specifically state that it was mainly based on the biography of Anne Frank by Kirk Ellis and some loose material from Anne's Dairy. Plus there is no probable account of what happened to Anne and the rest after they were betrayed.
@Janet199102 Seriously, look at the acting, it sucks! The Anne Frank movie "The Whole Story" not only tells us about her life in the annex, but what happened afterwords. So what if it was "based" on the biograghy?! This is too focused on Anne and doesn't have enough content about the war and the Holocaust, which is why she is famous in the first place. Also, if they're going to pick someone that the movie revolves around, they could have picked a much better Anne! I mean look at that cheap wig!
@Mikayla13e Oh, I'm sorry the last time when I read your comment it was about the story not being a true depiction not the acting. So I'm going to ignore the first part of your reply. You stated that the movie was more realistic of Anne, only to a certain extent- based mainly on biography, while the rest fiction. After all, THE DAIRY OF ANNE FRANK, was made famous because it was mainly on her account of hiding in the Annex. Or do you think she was still writing during her time in the camps?
@Janet199102 The story isn't right, neither is the acting. And no, this actress was nothing like Anne. None of it was fiction either. Do you know how to spell, lol I think you mean DIARY. Obviously she wasn't writing during her times in the camps! It's not much of a story if it's only about her hiding in the annex. And it's definitly not as famous as the other movie, because it sucks.
@Mikayla13e 'Obviously she wasn't writing during her times in the camps! It's not much of a story if it's only about her hiding in the annex.' -Said from the horse's mouth. The movie was made more for entertainment, while the drama was based solely on her diary. Go back to the brilliant movie (because it’s on YouTube) and just watch the notifications before it starts. I don't care if it sucks or not (quite immature on your part) I'm correcting you on saying that this was less true to her diary.
@Janet199102 OH SHUT UP!!! Wtf do you know about anything?! Like I've said before, you're most likely a little ten year old......or just dumb. HAHA! You're calling me immature?! You've probably never seen the better movie. I've seen a lot, and it's the movie they chose to show us in school, because it's accurate. So don't go running your mouth about ME being immature when YOU don't even know what you're talking about!
@Mikayla13e LOL, Your reply just proved how silly you are. I'm actually doing my essay on this, so yeah I think I do know what I am talking about. Plus I have the DVD of your precious movie.
@Mikayla13e And clearly it needs to be spell out to you, so read the introductory paragraph on Anne Frank: The Whole Story wiki, it pretty much says the same thing as me.
@Mikayla13e That is actually you. The way you carry yourself shows that you're the little kid. Face it, you can take correction so you result to name calling. Pathetic. Go and watch a few Anne Frank documentaries and then come back with valid points and then maybe I’ll take you seriously because right now you aren't doing justice for yourself.
@Janet199102 Oh no, I'm just stating the obvious :) I am in fact the correct one here, I'm not going to sit around all day and watch movies like you do, because I have a life. I'm actually on my way to school right now. Goodbye bitch!
@Mikayla13e Have you read the wiki page I told you to read? Lol since you're too thick to understand the history of Anne Frank. Because you haven't told me if the wiki page is wrong or right so I guess you know that I am correct. Yes watching Anne Frank movies because I have an essay that is based on this so it's logical too >.> (lol do you even read). Such a loser running away from something you know you can't sustain. So go on then, run off little kid and do your homework. :)
@Janet199102 You never told be to read a wiki page. But seriously?!?! A wiki page?! You do know people can change anything on there to what they want it to say, right? Lol so I see you're the type of student that watches the movie intead of reading the book, slacker. Hehe I'm not even going to adress that last part since it's sooo hypocritical.
@Mikayla13e Obviously you can't read, go back to the conversation. Everyone knows that Wikipedia is not reliable but since I know what I am talking about, I can confirm that bit of the information is correct and plus it would be easier for a simple person like you to understand quickly. But since you insist, search up the movie against the Anne Frank Foundation. Lol are you dumb? I wouldn't have comment saying this was honest to her diary if I haven't read around, especially the diary.
@Mikayla13e L.O.L that is defeat in my eyes. Where is your back up then, huh? If you were right, prove it with evidence other than yourself supporting your 'claim' because I have. You cannot face it that I have support and you don't want to admit it, so that's why you refuse to read. Clearly I'm not the only who said this to you because I just checked the comments page and someone else corrected you as well (saying the same thing I said)...that alone shows how ignorant you are of the story, hmm.
@Janet199102 'Claim' hahahahahaha. Admit what?! HAHA! OH WOW!!! One whole person! Congradtulations! Didn't know there were that many dumbasses in this world. You must feel special, huh? And they said the same thing as you?!?! Wow you're an idiot! They said the same thing cause' they don't have their own defence. Just keep in mind I didn't start this argument. You're just vying for attention, hmm.
@Mikayla13e Do you know what the Anne Frank foundation is, because if you did you would not be sprouting shit. Said you watch the movie at school? Obviously Teacher wanted to show you something that is a complete story of Anne Frank+not the true uncompleted ending of Anne's diary- get youngsters like u to get an idea of what concentration camps are-that movie shows a depiction of what the camps may have been. No one apart from Holocaust saviors will ever understand what camps were like.Go read
@Janet199102 Are you seriously still on the topic of Anne Frank? If you wanna start shit with me, do it in a fucking personal message! I know what a fucking concentration camp is, I'm not in fifth grade if that's what you're thinking, alright?! My teacher already expected us to know all about the holocaust before we watched the damn movie. We read the diary too. She didn't show us the movie to teach us about the holocaust, she showed us it so we would know the story of Anne Frank.
@Mikayla13e Only going to argue about Anne Frank because that's where it all started. I haven't got time to be playing with a kid like you. Shows how much you can't handle the argument. My goodness how can you possibly know about the camps- were you there? Anne Frank was possibly the most recognized young holocaust victim and her diary showed how much she can relate to young people (especially) so that's why she is shown in schools as a point of view of what happened in the holocaust. Thicko
@Janet199102 Oh, so you don't have time "playing with a kid like me" huh? WTF do you think you've been doing this whole time?!?! Were you there at the camps? Hmm, I think NOT! I can handle your so called "argument" that's why I keep commenting back to you. HAHAHAHA!!! I thought you didn't think name calling was mature, well who's the mature one now? NOT YOU! HAHA!!! Did your parents ever ask you to run away from home?
@Janet199102 I can read, just don't feel like remembering shit from a dumb fuck like you. Why would I trust YOU to find out if the info is correct or not?! Nah, I'm not wasting my time looking up information that you think I should, I have more important things to do. Lol no I'm not dumb. YOU'RE the dumb one, seriously? If you were twice as smart, you'd still be stupid!
@Andr3w19633 Haha, Thanks! :D All I did was just told this person that this was more honest to Frank's diary and they go on the attack against me. He/She is really pathetic, she has gone on my page as well as p.messaging twice calling me a bitch... LOL I just laugh because they think I'm going to cry *smh* I think this person is a child to be honest, so I'm not going to take them seriously.
@Mikayla13e You are really stupid. Did I say I'm going to cry? It is you who thinks that I'm going to be affected by you calling me a bitch. You cannot take the fact that I'm not going to back down from your dumbness so you result to private messaging me and calling me a 'bitch' haha well done to you I'm so hurt by your words.
@Mikayla13e That is actually you. The way you carry yourself shows that you're the little kid. Face it, you can't take correction so you result to name calling. Pathetic. Go and watch a few Anne Frank documentaries and then come back with valid points and then maybe I’ll take you seriously because right now you aren't doing justice for yourself.
@Mikayla13e I find Anne Frank's story pretty interesting. Are you talking about Anne Frank: The Whole Story? The movie basically sums up everything that happened before, during, and after the diary. It's for entertainment, not really for facts and summaries.
Whats weird is that instead of owning a gun or maybe using a kitchen life to back stab the nazi officer and his nazi agents.. Instead they had no choice but to face death from the hands of the nazi. Really realisic to encounter a nazi with a gun pointing at you. Although at least somone in there should of at least killed them. Knife on them if you have die if you have to. Is worse dying in the camp. Way worse than being shot. (Depends where the bullets hits you) Grrr. If I was only there... >:/
@Mrbambinovideos at that time nobody had an clue how bad the camps would become. And killing the SS officer would be the dumbest thing they ever could do.
@AnneAulisRobin Thankyou for uploading the film.I am 55years old and consider Ann Frank and the other 7 people heroes.I went to Bergen Belson and to the Ann Frank house to pay my respects to Ann and all the Jews murdered by the Nazis. The Jewish people are the most wonderful, generous and kindest of people. God Bless them, and you.
@Mrbambinovideos Forget a kitchen knife, use a 410 gauge shotgun loaded with #4 buckshot. It's a lot more powerful then the .38s the Nazis were carrying.
This sort of makes it seam like they were found randomly but they weren't. A women working there was afraid for her life she and her family would be killed if there were Jews in a back building so she called the Gestapo.
@LucyLysssophobia That's based off of Melissa Muller's book, which ended up being turned into "Anne Frank: The Whole Story." But the truth is that we will never know for sure who it was that betrayed those in the Secret Annex. The only person who could have shed any light on that was the receiver at the Gestapo, and he committed suicide before he could be questioned about it.
Omg I stopped half way threw the video cuz I'm watchin this movie in class and I kinda wanna see the rest in class... Ahhh wanna see the ending sooo bad
I'm not trying to hate but it seems like this was too short.I was a little confused cause it was so short and it didn't really go into life In hiding.I like the whole story much more though because it shows how Anne was and life in hiding and it goes all to the very end.it's very dramatic but very sad-/3
Anne Frank and co. was NOT Brittish. So whats up with the Brittish accent that this cast of actors have? Great acting from the cast, but if anyone is gonna make a film based on a true story then it should be close to the real potrayal possible. Forget the English actors......where are the Dutch actors?! WTF!
@keishamania it was made by the bbc, and it was a remake of the previous adaptation the bbc made in 1987, they couldn't of used dutch actors because it was for a british company, its also translation into english because if it was played by dutch actors it wouldnt make sense because they wouldnt speak english.......
@keishamania German actors. The Franks were Germans who moved to Holland to try and escape the Nazis. Otto Frank was a German soldier in WWI. Would you have liked the movie more if the actors had had a German accent?
Im jewish and me ex-bestfriend was a nazi... (I mean she aint my ex-bestfriend cause of that- i wasnt cool enough i was so she stopped being my friend idl she just plain out dropped me) it just goes to show that it doesnt matter your ansestors
@Link7x4m That's um... yeah. Disrespecful. Nazi's do not deserve respect, but you've no idea what that person thinks now or what he had to go through.
So be careful. Next time you might want to keep your mouth shut.
@Link7x4m there were many, many men forced to serve in the army although they hated national socialism. It was either obey or be killed. That didn't necessarily make them nazis.
Of course, if he was a supporter of the system, that's different.
OMG!? IT FUCKINS MADE ME CRY! HOLY CR@P>>> OMG!>>I just stood their crying like a dum@ss... Dude this video is despressing..fuck im still crying....OMG!
Gah...They were so close.... This is just too much...
saddest movie ive ever seen its trully teriffying to have a life like that hiter was just retarted i wish he was never born i cant stand the stuff that happened back then
@Link7x4m I wouldn't say that. That man could just be a German who was drafted into the war at that time. But I do think that a person has a responsibility to decide when things are wrong and not just go along with everything that is told to them. It was a scary time for everyone back then.
Remember when the Germans were hurting Jews and Polish people and it took years for other countries to intervene? Well, think about what the U.S. is doing to people from Iraq and Afghanistan. You won't hear this on the news, but the casualties in these these middle East countries exceeds one million. Like 12 million souls perished in the Holocaust. Will you belittle 1 million as being "too little?" Will anyone show sympathy for these "people." I'm Spaniard-American and I do show sympathy.Do you?
I've been to the Holocaust memorial in Berlin, walked the empty remains of the camp known as Bergen-Belsen, looked upon the unmarked graves of 1000s of dead Holocaust victims...
Anne Frank is the voice of them all. The millions of innocent lives claimed during this tragic period, are not just a statistic as Stalin said. Should we never forget this dark time in our history, lest it be repeated.
It kills me the way they are all looking forward to freedom and how they're planning their lives as soon as they are free and just a few months before the war ends, they are betrayed and captured by Hitler's forces. What I love though, is how Anne still managed to fulfil her dream of becoming a writer. I'm the same age as Anne when she died and I can't imagine how terrible it must have been for her to be locked away in a camp and die so tragically at such an age...
@AnneAulisRobin i keep hearing about Schildler's List and I've avoided watching it because it is such an old movie, but since it is so famous I must watch it - I must find out why it is so famous. I'm sure it is a great movie.
It's not that old! I think everyone should see it once because it gives out a little hope that one person can do their part even if everyone around them are following insane orders like sheep. But it's not a film I ever want to see again.
@Weenybean alright, alright, I'll watch it. Everyone keeps telling me it is a must-watch. It won many awards too. And I guess you're right, it is "not that old." 1993. Hit movies like Titanic (1996) and Armageddon (1998) came out around the same period and were both awesome movies, so I guess 1993 being too old was a bit of exaggeration from my part. Well, I was born in mid 1991, so I ah, don't really watch movies from "that time period" often, but of course, there are exceptions. I'll watch it!
@xBl00dBrothersX I've just discovered that movie a few months ago I also recommend reading the book "What World Is Left" about a jewish girl and her family's experiences in theresienstadt.
I've read the book, and it was very depressing, along with the movie. I rlly hate the Nazi's for doing that kind of stuff to innocent people. It's very barbaric and cruel.
When you know what happened to Anne and the others, watching the scene of their discovery is really heartbreaking. Anne and Margot were subjected to 'selections' in the camp....parading naked in front of the Germans in a bid to prolong their lives. In the end the Germans did not have the pleasure of killing this remarkable child. She and Margot died from Typhus.
Yes, Anne was German born but she was a Jew and in the eyes of the Nazis that was an unforgivable crime. Thanks to Anne we have a face and a story but she is just one of millions who died in the ghettos, in reprisals, in senseless killings, in the concentration camps, etc. She will not be forgotten because people like us continue to remember her. We make her wish to remembered after her death come true. RIP Anne and all those whom you represent.
It was so sad those innocent people deserved better,Anna was a brave and talented girl, she is in paradise now because she was minor and innocent .but here Jews and the west didn't learn any thing about the past .They are doing what the Nazi's had done to them 4.5 million of Palestine died since the occupation of 1948, 7 million of muslim died since the war of terror started back in 2001,and all the people who are suffering are innocent who are nothing knew about 9/11. peace to all mind kind
War is a horrible thing :( If you think about it, almost every country or race involved were hurt in some way, the Jews were sent to death or work camps, Berlin was badly bombed, America's pearl harbour was attacked, here in england we had the blitz and Hiroshima and Nagasaki had atom bombs dropped on them. I believe that there are no winners and losers in war, only casulties. I feel sorry for everyone who lost their lives during ww2.
I love this book and movie and cried!

Mikayla13e 2 weeks ago

Janet199102 2 weeks ago

LucyLysssophobia 2 months ago
@LucyLysssophobia That's based off of Melissa Muller's book, which ended up being turned into "Anne Frank: The Whole Story." But the truth is that we will never know for sure who it was that betrayed those in the Secret Annex. The only person who could have shed any light on that was the receiver at the Gestapo, and he committed suicide before he could be questioned about it.

WTF!
keishamania 3 months ago 3
@keishamania it was made by the bbc, and it was a remake of the previous adaptation the bbc made in 1987, they couldn't of used dutch actors because it was for a british company, its also translation into english because if it was played by dutch actors it wouldnt make sense because they wouldnt speak english.......
1998Cleopatra 3 months ago
@keishamania German actors. The Franks were Germans who moved to Holland to try and escape the Nazis. Otto Frank was a German soldier in WWI. Would you have liked the movie more if the actors had had a German accent?

@Link7x4m there were many, many men forced to serve in the army although they hated national socialism. It was either obey or be killed. That didn't necessarily make them nazis.
Of course, if he was a supporter of the system, that's different.

Will you belittle 1 million as being "too little?" Will anyone show sympathy for these "people." I'm Spaniard-American and I do show sympathy.Do you?

thats sad how anne died
missramos3 4 months ago
I've been to the Holocaust memorial in Berlin, walked the empty remains of the camp known as Bergen-Belsen, looked upon the unmarked graves of 1000s of dead Holocaust victims...
Anne Frank is the voice of them all. The millions of innocent lives claimed during this tragic period, are not just a statistic as Stalin said. Should we never forget this dark time in our history, lest it be repeated.
detpistonsff7 4 months ago
Its really sad and i cry when i think about the feeling of her sister dying before she does and tragic end to her life too.
TheKCJJ 4 months ago
It kills me the way they are all looking forward to freedom and how they're planning their lives as soon as they are free and just a few months before the war ends, they are betrayed and captured by Hitler's forces. What I love though, is how Anne still managed to fulfil her dream of becoming a writer. I'm the same age as Anne when she died and I can't imagine how terrible it must have been for her to be locked away in a camp and die so tragically at such an age...
JuicyGrape06 4 months ago

@AnneAulisRobin i keep hearing about Schildler's List and I've avoided watching it because it is such an old movie, but since it is so famous I must watch it - I must find out why it is so famous. I'm sure it is a great movie.
xBl00dBrothersX 4 months ago
@xBl00dBrothersX
It's not that old! I think everyone should see it once because it gives out a little hope that one person can do their part even if everyone around them are following insane orders like sheep. But it's not a film I ever want to see again.
Weenybean 4 months ago
@Weenybean alright, alright, I'll watch it. Everyone keeps telling me it is a must-watch. It won many awards too. And I guess you're right, it is "not that old." 1993. Hit movies like Titanic (1996) and Armageddon (1998) came out around the same period and were both awesome movies, so I guess 1993 being too old was a bit of exaggeration from my part. Well, I was born in mid 1991, so I ah, don't really watch movies from "that time period" often, but of course, there are exceptions. I'll watch it!

Avidsta316 5 months ago
Yes, Anne was German born but she was a Jew and in the eyes of the Nazis that was an unforgivable crime. Thanks to Anne we have a face and a story but she is just one of millions who died in the ghettos, in reprisals, in senseless killings, in the concentration camps, etc. She will not be forgotten because people like us continue to remember her. We make her wish to remembered after her death come true. RIP Anne and all those whom you represent.
