These regurlarly fly over my house in greenwich bourough, usually in twos or threes. The seem to fly very low, its very un nerving .

In the states sometimes they do flyovers for funerals. I thought I was dead one time when 6 fighter jets flew over my house super low. They were in the "missing man" formation though.

They are definitely looking for something. Frequent Helicopter sightings are the norm where I live by San Francisco. When they fly by I get my camera out. Renee PS... the butterfly resting on your finger is amazing, what trust! AMAZING.

Hey, are they still regular now? Because in London they have become very frequently since January 2010.... Before that, we used to get them a lot around the time of 9/11 and 7/11.

As for the helicopters, nothing sinister about it whatsoever. They are helicopters of the Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm flying in formation over

London for the 10th of July VE day commemorations. The Royal Navy wanted to put on a big show this year as they are celebrating 100years of naval aviation.

Well South East London would be in the flight path for their naval air station in Portsmouth and as I said these helicopters were there for a celebration.

As for lots of helicopters flying over your house...yes you in live in London so it's very much to be expected again nothing sinister.

They look to be five Merlin HC3 transport helicopters and three Lynx attack helicopters. Most likely returning from or going to Iraq where they were deployed in support of Operation Telic.

linda, i am in South Wales. about a week ago i saw what looked like two military puma helicopters fly in formation, one in front, the other beside it, flying slightly behind. I thought it was odd. i think they were heading for bristol/gloucester way.
