The EZLN is nothing but a domestic terrorist group aimed at destroying the culture and tradition of the Mexican people. Marcos should be hung and strung up by a streetlamp somewhere in Chiapas for all the trouble hes caused in my fathers homeland. Rebels like him have been hurting the moral and economy of Mexico for far too long. If the natives want more rights, they shouldnt do it by following such a man.

The Americans mooch off of our resources and money, this is true, but those are the only white people I know that are destroying the culture of Mexico. Indios did great things in Mexico. Benito Juarez, possibily the greatest Mexican leader in our history was completely Indio.

@Netzahualcoyotl2008 So you dont like Obama? Huh, that suprises me, but its a sensible conparison. And I agree, the McLane-Ocampo treaty was a horrible idea, and against the Mexican people. Not every president or leader is perfect. He had two wars going against him afterall, and he did save our nation from the European/French aggressors. Also, I dont think simply marrying a Spanish women as a Indian man is a huge problem. I mean, everyones entitled to marry who they want.

@Netzahualcoyotl2008 But regardless, the natives DO have indepdence in Mexico. The Mestizos are the majority, I've never heard of large-scale and clear racism in Mexico, while isolated incidents are common, its like looking at the South of the US, or Eastern Sachsen in Germany and claiming that all people of that nation are racist against Blacks, and Jews and Slavs respectively. Indios fought with the Spanish, and assimilated into Spanish culture fast. Thats why the Indios are minority

@Netzahualcoyotl2008 Of course they didnt. Neither did we! WE as a people used used to the idea of someone coming into our lands, taking over our governments, cultures and beliefs. Occupation and assimilation wasnt a new idea. The Aztec Empire fought for its land and lost, against both other Indian nations and the Spanish, who intermaried their royalty with that of the Indian kingdoms, making a single New Spain. THe Mayas are the exception and they dislike Crillos the most for that reason.

@Netzahualcoyotl2008 Indios is the Spanish class system term, if you dont like it please tell me which you'd prefer? The minority doesnt exclude itself. Walk down the street with a Mestizo friend, and no one would be able to tell the dfiference, I know because I've seen it before. Mayas are the exception because they were the ones that resisted after Spanish conquest, and they resisted heavily, respectuflly and honorable, but they fell like the Aztecs and Incas before them.

Bavarians dislike Brandenburgers, Castilians are racist against Basques, English against Welsh, and yes, Crillos, Mestizos, Mulettos and Indios in every combination. Some Indios are racist against Mestizos, saying they abadonded their culture, and let themselves be raped by the white conquerors. Theres racism everywhere, its just not as huge as everyone thinks it is. Its a two-way street. How about co-operation instead of fighting?

@Netzahualcoyotl2008 What system? The labor system? The governmnet system? Its up to the local people of nations to raise themselves out of poverty and oppresion. THeres no point in history where a governmnet did so, and no successful attempt to do so by the people rebellion. It only happens through proving yourselves viable and productive members of the culture. Yeah its not the most poetic or meaningful but its historical.

@Netzahualcoyotl2008 And the crillos, Miguel Hidalgo, started the revolution against Spain. We are equals in history. Before we were Imperial tribes, fighting each other. The Spainish occupied us this is true, but we occupied and fought each other for hundreds of years. The Spainish gave us unity, but cruelty, and oppression, but the entire continenet, from Mexico to Argentina fought and gained the honor, culture, and self-determination using the unity given to us by the crillos and penisulars.
