To The Replacements fans: along with the stones they are my favorite band also, but just because they were so good does not mean that their songs are off limits from being covered (the mats covered plenty of songs themselves). I often find that when i hear cover versions they are either too similar to the original (what's the point then) or too different (why not just write a new song). I think joan does a great job of walking that line. I like the Mats version better, but not that much better.
