  • so beautiful... love his voice!

  • Great John Grant! I look forward to listen next album!!

  • I GOT IT! He totally got the chorus melody from Across the Universe! I wonder if he did that consciously.

  • When he sings "your lovely carcass caught my eye" it sounds JUST LIKE some other song... I can't put my finger on it though. Where is that melody from???????

  • Maybe a bit similar but way better than Rufus (ie he isn't monotone) and don't even mention Hugh Laurie in the same sentence! Anyway, Laurie's work came after this.

  • What INCREDIBLE, song, voice, album... thanx for vid, add in my playlist.

  • Love this and John Grant's stuff. The first bit does remind me of Hugh Laurie's 'Mystery' which is also ace, but a slightly different feel to it. Thoughts?

  • This guy is so good it's FUCKING UNFAIR!

  • En unos días iré a verlo, todo un descubrimiento! Emoción, buenas letras y melodías, ¿qué más se puede pedir?

  • johnny, ich liebe dich:)

  • his lyrics are harsh :o nice :D

  • I just love this song!

  • If only I could like this ten more times...

  • my husband sent me this song i cant stop playing it now !!!

  • i cannot stop coming back to this song. this version is particularly wonderful on a grand piano. and the way his voice just cracks a bit with emotion at the end rounds off brilliantly an extraordinarily moving piece of work.

  • just seen him on Glastonbury bbc 2 amazing singer

  • This is too much beautiful.

  • Makes Rufus look like the wanker he is

  • @robertpricedeldin Im shocked! SHOCKED! :-0 Rufus is wonderful. As is John

  • Saw and heard and loved his concert @Södra Teatern in Stockholm yesterday. His talent is amazing. This mans voice is so secure, crisp and emotional.

  • ... just perfect... piano & voice... sends shivers the same way Rufus does...

... and yes, the album "Queen Of Denmark" is another crown in my collection ever since it came out last year... Cheers***

  • Wonderful album but with the solo piano....just wow.

  • What a warm voice! Goosebumbs all over the place....

  • @eichpos you and me both...he's so amazing!

  • @TheNevan60 : Yes, indeed, he is, thanks....

  • This album is one of the most under-appreciated of the last decade. One or two mediocre tracks, an incoherent structure/flow between songs, and lack of publicity are the only things holding it back from being one of the greatest albums of all time. Grant's voice and songwriting are some of the best out there. His stuff with the czars is also fantastic for those who haven't heard it.

  • This is such a beautiful song. So haunting. I've been listening to the rest of his album, Queen Of Denmark on Spotify, and there are a few other tracks on it that really stood out. A terrific new find. Yes, it reminds me a little bit of Rufus Wainwright whose music I love as well.

  • saw him supporting Midlake at the O2 academy in Liverpool.... don't think the venue or keyboard did him justice . He is such a big bear of a man he needs a really good stage :)

  • Saw him on Later with Jools Holland. He sang one song - 'I Wanna Go To Marz' (his favourite sweet shop when he was a kid). On the strength of that I caught his Edinburgh gig and I'm glad I did. He's a funny, thoughtful man - and THAT VOICE! Effortless and soaring. Ended the nite with 'Little Pink House', a song about his supportive and inspirational granny who lived in a little pink house with blue polka dots. In conservative Midwest America. Really. Respect to John, respect to his granny!

  • Amazing

  • Blimey. That's one hidden gem. So so good!

  • What a voice! What a song! WOW!

  • Completely fantastic, even better than the original album track. Thanks!

  • No dislikes,i see.Everyone in agreement.Brilliant.

  • Gorgeous!

  • So moving,i'm listening to it over and over.

  • @mralpaters1 Me too, over & over & over, heard it this afternoon on radio 2,Very much like Rufus Wainwright me thinks?
