Lone Ranger was Clayton Moore, when they made him stop wearing the mask, he wore sun glasses. He made several movies and his name was just Clay Moore not to be confused with a claymore mine that would dig a lot of silver out of the mine
His name is "The Old Ranger"? So THAT'S what he loked like without his mask on. I can just see him now, chasing after desperados on his "Rascal". Wonder how old Tonto is. A cloud of dust and a hearty "Hi Yo . . . what's your name again?"
@notube2007 Ummmm . . . it was a joke. I'm old enough to remember "Death Valley Days" as a network TV show. I attempted humor on YouTube, and as usual, someone took it as a serious comment. You'd think I'd know by now . . .
Boraxo is made by Dial as someone mentioned and you can get it through Amazon and it's "GREEN" (natural) for those of you that care to know, not a chemical con concoction of whatever.
yep they still make boraxo - hard to find - a good community hardware store usually carries it - get a hold of Dial Soap and tell them to distribute it more!
This show and ad was pretty good. I just got a Twenty Mule Team Model for my birthday. They got them at that store in that small town in Death Valley. Pretty cool.
Stanley Andrews was "The Old Ranger" for years, hosting "DEATH VALLEY DAYS", often "pitching" sponsor U.S. Borax's "Boraxo" crystals (and occcasionally, "20 Mule Team Borax" detergent, although Rosemary DeCamp usually did those spots) at the beginning of the show. This endorsement dates from around 1953.

"This guy bought his tie in the kids dept. "
Either that;, or he washed it in hot water.
I remember watching the show when "The Old Ranger" hosted.
I remember a huge white ten gallon hat he wore. At least that's my memory as a 12 yr old in 1965.

The great Stanley Andrews. He was also Daddy Warbucks on radio, and Mr Welch in It's a Wonderful Life
