  • It's neat that people are bringing history back to life through these performances! :D I'm just wondering why they don't fully point their toes like ballet dancers???? : S

  • could it be possible to have more details on each pieces of music?

  • masters in this hall

  • Beautiful work. All the excerpts were tantalizingly short and left me wanting more. As a long time dancer with Opera Atelier, I've been performing Baroque dance since I was a child, but recently our company has moved into later repertoire, and the dances have become more balletic. I miss the pure Baroque style, and it's great to see such a fine example here on Youtube. Thanks for posting!

  • la danse des riches, ilnecessite beaucoup d'espace pour danser.

  • More of Paige's Harlequin dance please!!!

  • Absolutely excellent, but i'd expect nothing less. Paige is both a great performer and teacher.

  • Absolutely lovely :) Would anyone by chance know the title of the music that Paige is dancing to in the mask? Around 3:30? Thanks!

  • That is the Passacaille from Armide by Lully.

  • Thank you :)

  • It's by Lully, but it is best known to English-speakers as the tune for the Christmas carol "Masters In This Hall".

  • I have had the privilege to have Paige as my Baroque Dance teacher for almost 4 years. It is a beautiful art and nothing can compare to it. Tom and Paige are amazing and gifted people. To be able to have performed along side with them on stage is such an honor. They bring tears to my eyes every time I watch them perform live simply because of the beauty and grace that is shown. If you ever get a chance to see Paige and Tom perform don't hesitate, you will not be disappointed.

  • Lovely still bodies and controlled gesture... briliant! thank you.

  • BRAVO! BRAVO! How wonderful!!!!!

  • Would anyone know what the first and third songs are from the shepherd and shepherdess section, Thanks

  • Hi, sorry for delayed response!

    First shepherd duet is:

Entrée pour un Berger et une Bergere (Pécour: c. 1713, Marais: Pièces de Violes "La Muzette")

    Third shepherdess dance is:

Menuet performd by Mrs. Santlow (LAbbé: c. 1725, Music Anon.)

    Paige W-B

  • this is art of the highest level

  • terrific!!!i'd be glad to see them performing live!!!

  • This is awesome.

  • I think it can improve performer's understanding of Baroque music, since most music from that period were written for dances.

  • I have the feeling that I could stop this video anywhere and the resulting still would not look out of place in a painting by Watteau or Fragonard. Kudos!

  • Exceptional! Hope to see more soon!

  • Lovely excerpts that whet the appetite for more!
