  • I have orgasm when i hear Ritchie Blackmores guitar solo

  • kill the kkkkkkkkkkkkinng

  • Not sure if he's under rated really. Most who heard him in the '70's knew how good he really was...

  • fuck yeah!

  • dio was great , this line- up was one of the greatest of all time , snake charmer from the 1st rainbow album has the killer lead , just an awesome band...all of the studio recordings were life changing on the guitar for me, a light in the black, stargazer, etc.....blackmore just keeps the tunes rolling in 2011, the guy is just awesome......he lives to play ......and i still listen !! thats amazing.......dio was THE MAN....w/ the golden voice ...all-time MVP in any band..just great ..rip.

  • Dio one of the my favorite voices...and rainbow one of the best bands ever...!:) and this one of my favourite songs...

  • As far as I am concerned this is the ONLY Rainbow line up.

  • This is a great line up no doubt; these guys have a lot of “class” if you know what I mean? Consummate pros at work here!

  • It was Recorded in STEREO I know I was there and have the LP

  • I do believe I have this DVD.

  • this was recorded in mono only back then incredible

  • Cozy Powell = Best Drumme Ever!

Ronnie James Dio = Best Singer Ever!

Ritchie Blackmore = Best Guitarist Ever!

    Questions?

  • @Stirbschon No doubt on all of the above. Cozy is the reason why I drum the way I do.

  • Loved it then....love it now!!

  • saw this tour in springfield mass. they became my fav group ever still are

  • POWER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This is Ronnie James in his fucking prime. And there's never been another one like him.

  • THAT IS THE BEST STORY!! and this song fucking rocks!!!

I tell you about stupid story. In Korea, my country, the ablum was released without this song because importer think the title "Kill the king" would represent assasination of president. LOL

  • Dio, Blackmore, and Powell

    What a supergroup like this.!!

  • love it

  • Is this the best ever Rainbow line- up I think so anyone else?

  • @Vidwatchuk yes it was for sure

  • ya hes nice in person

  • Hi chrixhton666 !

as having been one of the visitors in oly munich: i dont know if its been "290" but the story itsself is right: ritchie got out of prison in vienna after the last plane (fog!) has left vienna. they went to munich by car and startet at perhaps 00:30. and there we went...... llr+r !

  • hi alzheimer!

anyway, who can know that? it's just one of these rumours, like keith richard is said to change his blood once a year. I read 3-4 interviews with keith richard, where he explained that it's just o hoaxe, but the rumour goes on and on, because people want sensations...

  • That is a true story, yes. Blackmore saw a bouncer hitting a girl at Vienna, so he beat the bouncer up! He was arrested, and spent at least two days in prison. The bouncer, we assume, doesn't listen to Rainbow or Deep Purple for pleasure...

  • Pure energy...!

  • ritchie blackmore, one of the most underrated guitar players of all time...

  • @muttiplay i dont think he was underrated...coz he is everywhere in guitar magazine

  • @wfe4567 it's a common thought that the best guitar players (i'm talkin about the speed, the technique etc) came in the 1980's john sykes, paul gilbert, kirk hammett, EVH... there were great composers, players with various skills, but not as fast as the ones that came later. that's what i'm talkin about, ritchie blackmore was one of the first fast rock guitar players ever. players like page or townsend could only dream of playing the solo to highway star for example. but i get your point anyway

  • @muttiplay Yeah, but Blackmore's work simply doesn't stand.

Page did all that beautiful Led Zeppelin work

Pete Townshend simply has "Tommy" and "Quadrophenia", apart from very good stuff...

Blackmore is a mere skilled guitar player. His solos are now played by 15 year school kids.

  • @PChemato well, not really. just take burn, child in time, highway star... not that easy. I mean, of course there's more difficult stuff around, but at that time it was some of the hardest stuff to play in the hard rock world.

then don't forget he was one of the best riff composers ever, he wasn't just a "mere skilled guitar player".

I like Page better as a composer, Page to me is the best musician ever, but there's no denial blackmore was a better player. but i get your point anyway

  • Du grand rainbow et un grand plaisir de revoir Cosy powell

  • This stuff is so so so much better than the Graham Bonnet years

  • yeah graham bonnet sucks. this is 70s metal at its best!

  • I have this video. Apparently they had a really late start because Ritchie got thrown in jail in Vienna a couple days earlier for breaking a security guards jaw. They wisked him right from jail to the arena. Nice post.

  • haha thanks for that story!

  • he drove himself drunk from vienna at 290 km per hour to make it
