Nice upload, although the video is wrongly labelled: this song is not the 'Warchild' version, but the 'Reworked' version from 2007.

I just listened to both versions, the war child version has some additional strings, at least i noticed around 4:00. The original only has the traditional chinese string. I may be wrong however haha...

I was comparing Damon's attitude to Thom Yorke's. Yorke is all like Mr. Politics with his Free Tibet and Fuck CCP standpoints. I mean he did great for good causes like Fair Trade and such, but thats that. The bottom line is that musicians shouldn't be too involved (in politics). Stick with what you do best.

By the way Damon Albarn invested himself in different causes on different occasions concerning Africa and the childrens in particular. Not too mension a lot of song's lyrics like "stop the dams" maybe very metaphorical but I think we can some political ideas..

biggest difference afaict is added strings towards the end. i prefer original from warchild album (help:a day in the life) but this version (from d-sides as stated^) is also great.

excellent footage but video could be mixed better with the song (ex. scene changes when piano comes in). still, great.
