It's one of the richest countries in the World and it's the only rich country that manages to grow at a 15% rate, which is unbeliavable. Er, ever noticed that there are no widespread Singaporean immigrant communities anywhere in the world? That's because they need not go elsewhere for economic opportunities. I live in NYC and have only met one Singaporean my entire life (despite working closely with the Asian community). In fact, people from poorer countries go to Singapore for work.
