Very presumptive & arrogant response. My statement was based on my knowledge of Scots, Irish and European history. I can confirm I have been at a LOL annual Church service & have been LOL clubs and spoke to members.
So Lord Wellington, answer the points I have made. Are Greek Orthodox who split with rome years before the Reformation (which took place for different reasons in Scotland than England) allowed in? Glencoe was a victory for William of Orange in Scotland that you do not celebrate.
It would really surprise me if even half of this lot have ever seen the inside of a church in their lives. Although I think even the most religious marching protestant would struggle to convince me that there anything whatsoever 'Protestant' about marching. Killing of your fellow Christians is not something to be proud of. This is an aggressive and intollerant display of sectarian biggotry. Nothing more.
@saffibaffi Yes yes, we have never set foot in a church. You ignorant bastard, you have no clue about the Orange Order. In order to become a member you have to be part of a SPECIFIC church, which means some members of the lodge meet with your church leader or pastor. Once again you fenian bastards a fooled. And at least we dont worship a man who wears half a ball. Do me a favour, before writing incorrect statements about something research so you actually know what you are talking about.
It is true that the LOL were so sectarian that they did not allow members of the Church of Scotland in during the 1800s. Are the eastern orthodox allowed in?
Why do the Orange Order not celebrate the Williamite victory at the massacre of Glencoe?
@HEED1916 How the hell do you know what goes on in the Order. You are not a member so you have no say in anything about the order. Until you get off your computer chair and actually go to an Orange Parade, visit an Orange Hall or talk to Orangemen your opinion does not matter.
@LordWellington15 You really are a halfwit. At the outset in this time of greater knowledge of science, do you really buy into the bible?
The orange order continue to be ignorant bigoted morons. Once they were even more bigoted in that they never allowed Presbyterians membership. The orthodox communities who split from Rome earlier cannot become members
@HEED1916 You obviously know nothing of the Order because you are not in it. The only things you know are from what you see on the TV. The Order never barred Presbyterians from joining, thats a fact. In canada all sorts of nationalities join the order, from Blacks to Italians, so you obviously have all your facts wrong.
@LordWellington15 Pretty naive simplistic statements worthy of a sectarian bigot. I repeat - The Orange Order for its first 50 years was A Church of Ireland/Anglican organisation. Maybe you dont know enough about your own group? Why do you not have a parade at Glencoe to celebrate the Williamite victory of the Massacre of Glencoe?
The Irony is laughable - people like you singing the famine song while waving the Red Hand of Ulster - the symbol of Ulster Gaels. Fools.
Orange marches are the 21st century version of the Victorian day freek shows. Got to feel sorry for those sad enough to be involved with this life style. They must have very sad lifes.
Tbh, Nationalists ( whatever religion you are) gotta stop the sympathy thing, you've done horrible things to Loyalists equally as bad to the confrontations, enough with the "look how hard done by we are". And Orangemen need to stop trying to rub it in their faces, it was 300 years ago, yes be proud of it, but dont be harsh, and from the looks of some in the parade, they couldn't fight a battle :p
My God I feel sorry for these people, deeply sorry. They fill the empty voids of their lives with meaningless aggression in the name of something they can't even spell, don't understand, for a battle over 300 years ago for a government who betrayed them. What a mess.
no im not proud to be aracist im just brittish its the weak the down troden who label me im strong a winner top of the food chain .u cant make the label stick as i am brittish .Ur kind try to take us down make us question our strenghth our achievements .like the greed wee bo tryin to bullie the sweeties from the rich kid. u dont like what u find in my country fuck off .one united kingdom one people .
Its not "Your" country its the country of the people of the United Kingdom who live under the Queen and a democratically elected parliament. In that country freedom of speech, religion and opinion are just some of the rights given to those citizens. If you find that so offensive then I suggest you "Fuck off" to some country where racially abusing people in regards to famine, their religion etc is acceptable, in the UK however, it is not.
conclusive proof oh feel soooo bad now im a racist omg help me.u dick and what the fuck r u hanging about orange walk vids posting shit .ur an unemploted drug useing celtic supportin been fkd up the ass by ur dad and priest etc with a huge chip on ur shoulder.U want what we have thats whyy ur here !!!! but u dont have the means or the brains to get it so fuck of home .the famine is over bye bye
and so what if there racist whats the big deal about being called racist?cause some liberal says its a bad thing no its ok to be racist .anyone who says they dont judge anyone else or welcomes anyman into there home is a liar. When u see a very overweight man do u treat him with the same respect as a average men ????? do u fuck!!!
And there you have it. The conclusive proof straight from the horses mouth that the Orange lodge welcome racists and have more than their share amongst their ranks.
Orange lodge are a bunch of racists with long standing links to the far right. Their hatred of non whites (and that includes Protestants) is just as strong as their hatred of Catholics.
u misguided cunt shut up.how can u speak about anybody.catholics cant and are not allowed to think for them selfs with a blinkered view of the whole planet
you are a monkey coz you obv searched for orange walk!!!! you know we are the best!! BJK WANKER!!!!
Sad pathetic little cunt, you know your team and fans are so much fcking idiots you chose to search for our glorious vids NOW FUCK OFF YOU AINT WELCOME CUNT!!!!!!
I sat in a Liverpool bar one night. This guy came up to me- he was a friend of the guy I was meeting. He said that Loyalism needed people like me. I asked him why he wasn't a "person like me". He stood there, his mouth like a goldfish. A typical mainland loyalist that did nothing for his people in Ulster except shout the odd FTP at the local elderly nun. England and Scotland are full of Loyalists like that, most are losers and hyporcrits, all are cowards.
being against the policy of immigration into this country is not by definition racist.you uneducated bog trotting irish fuck!! however the latter part of my statement could be if you were in anyway as irish as you pray to be when your on your knees at the feet of some wooden doll, you idol worshipping, against the bibles word, blasphemous heathen ratbag!! FTP&BJK
hey they hate catholics and i bet these wankers dont know were there boyne is and that king william famous regiment was the dutch blue guards who were 95 per cent catholic , goes to show you that all orange men are bigots but not all protestants are thank god , sad old men who will have to meet there maker one day , god help them .
Im a protestant and think you idiots are stupit. Still thankfully you weirdos that live in the past are dying out slowly but surely. Heres to future without biggots racists and sexists. Fools
Scotland will be a better place when its independent. I hope all of these faggots fuck off to England or N Ireland. Im not racist or anti-Protestant but the orange order is a hate group (obviously) and I dont want them anywhere near me
You have to give it to these muppets, they celebrate the battle of the Boyne every year, yet they don't even visit the very place in the Republic lol the Boyne is IRISH LOL. I bet 90% of these muppets have never been to the Boyne?
If you read up on it then you will understand it. Its all about history and celebrating. In actual FACT back in the fifties early sixties catholics would celebrate this as well as protestants and that is fact......
The walk serves no purposes in life, it's just an excuse for the so called loyal supporters to gather and get pissed afterwards in the pub, And the sad thing is, they say they are scottish and are british at the same time, think they should make up the mind what they are. intelliegence isn't one of there strong points.
@pattobhoy What colours the sky? What way is the wind blowing? Is it dark out? That is the stupidest question I have heard. We walk so that we are known. We walk so the likes of Republicans dont gain a foothold in Scotland. We walk to be known and to preserve the union.
Islandretreat does this 17th Century world view make you feel important? Any fool can study books on the 'Whore of Babylon' and come up with this claptrap. Your better than that surely? Or am I just being decieved by the anti christ again? The world has left you and your increasingly small band of oddities behind. Fight climate change or hunger, not the Boyne, that's gone. Or you could just go on firing your silver bullets at werewolves which vanished long ago.
You're wasting yer typing fingers mate, he's an idiot that yin. And a coward. Notice since the Huns disgraced themselves on and off the pitch he's nowhere to be seen? No doubt next season he'll crawl back out from the woodwork once the evil cunts get their first win under their belt (a game no-doubt ref'd) by the "good" Reverend Mike McCurry. Oh aye, there's a point - what have you got to say about him IslandShitface? If he was a priest no doubt you'd be calling him the Devil.
As has already been explained many times before - it's not just the Catholic Church who has problems in this area.
In America, there has been 13,000 credible claims against priests which amounts to 228 per year. A recent Associated Press report stated that the three major insurance companies for Protestant Churches in America say they typically receive 260 reports each year of minors being sexually abused by Protestant clergy, staff, or other church-related relationships.
No you're not, you only think you are. Your comments on Rev Wylie are born out of ignorance. Indeed, it is profound ignorance that inspires your dogamtic tone. Of all the countries in northern Europe no country has got as long a history as opposing the system of Roman Catholicism than Protestant Scotland. As early as the 6th century we know that the Christian Scots (of Dalriada) refused to bow at the foot of the papal chair..
Christianity was here long before Romanism reared its ugly head in the 12th century. The Culdees brought the Gospel with them from Jerusalem where it found refuge in Scotland, beyond the limits of the Roman Empire. The churches in Britain are more ancient than the Papal church. Patrick then carried the good news to Hibernian, Christianising the island, Columba brought it back to Scotland, and Aiden carried the good news to Lindisfarne in the early 7th century where he Christianised the Saxons.
The Celtic Church in Hibernia (Patrick's congregation) and the old Columban Gaelic church of Iona were shining lamps of Christianity when Europe was in darkness, all the way up to Hadrian's wall, for the Saxon Christians were the first to be converted to Romanism long before Rome usurped the Celtic and Gaelic churches in the 12th century. Of course, Popery is an after-growth of paganism spreading its popish theology under a Christian mask. And the early Scots knew that...
"We cannot," said the British bishops, "depart from our ancient customs without the consent and leave of our people". Laurentius, the successor of Augustine, speaks (in the early 7th century) yet more bitterly of the antagonism of the Scots, "We have found the Scottish bishops worse even than the British."
Your earlier comments about Scots Protestants being "bigots" show you up for the ignoramus you are. Do you think Augustine would have said the same?
Romanism only had a grip on Scotland during the 12-16th century (shorter than any other European country). All sorts of calamities occurred during that time! Even during those 4 dark centuries we know that Scottish Popery wasn't of native growth, it all had to be imported from abroad, the Roman monks as well as the system. Until Protestant Scotland, having thrown off the shackles of Romanism, went on to 'invent the modern world'. Presbyterianism made Scotland the most well-read nation on earth.
Papal Romes spiritual & mental tyranny was keeping Popish countries in darkness. Turning them into uneducated beggars. Indoctrinating them into being Antichristian bigots, consummate liars & morally bankrupt Papists! These Irish Papists, in their hour of need, naturally fled to Protestant countries within the British Empire. Rome then managed to convince them that these Christian countries were to blame for Ireland's wretchedness. Which, of course, clouded the glories of the British Empire!
Come on IslandRetreat - stop deviating. Has the Orange Walk (regardless of it's significance, good or bad) been hijacked by bigots. Yes or no? If not, are you suggesting the knuckle dragging fuckwits who scream "Fuck The Pope" "No Surrender" and "Big Jock Knew" (without an understanding of the relevance of what they are saying) at innocent passers by who care not a jot about their silly little walk fine upstanding members of the community?
do they work for the mobile phone people? are they enemies with the vodaphone men?sad old bigots breeding young sad bigots YOU ARE ALL DOOMED!!!!!!come on the vodaphone men.
Remember 1690 Islandretreat? What happened then? Sorry forgot. A Spanish galleon sunk in the Bay of Biscay carrying barrels of horses tails for to sell to wig makers of the British upper classes!
The Battle of the Boyne is widely recognised for securing civil and religious liberty for all inheritors of this first great step toward the democratisation of the western world. Are you not glad democracy prevailed !
There wasn't much democracy for the Irish Catholics who had their land stolen from them.
I think the problem for people who, like me, are offended by the bigots who parade is that they're commemorating a sectarian victory which was never the case! William's elite force - the Dutch Blue force - carried the Papal banner and many of that force were Dutch Catholics. It was never about Protestants about Catholics. But tell that to the idiots with their Rangers tops on.
I've given the reasons above for celebrating the victory and in typical Irish Republican fashion you start moaning about how unfair life has been on the Irish Papist. It wasn't Romanists who were branded the "devil" and massacred en masse in 1641. Also, the first wave of Protestants to settle in Ulster from Scotland settled on land that wasn't "stolen", it was given to two Scotsmen (Hamilton & Montogomerie) as a thank you for helping one of the O'Neills escape from Carrickfergus prison.
Firstly I am not, as you assumed, an Irish Republican. I am Scottish and Nationalist Republican in the sense that I believe Scotland should be independent and free from a pampered unelected head of state. Secondly, your reasaon for "celebrating" was something to do with a victory for "human rights". What about the human rights for the "Irish Papists" as you referred to them in your typical condescending manner? My point is that this victory has been hijacked by bigots like you.
You're the one showing intolerance of people having a peaceful march. I don't attend Orange Walks but i will defend their right to march in the streets of Scotland should they wish to. Intolerant bigots such as yourself shouldn't be allowed to stop them. You've been brainwashed by the Vatican and you don't even know it. Roman canon law dictates which history and religious books can be published and printed and that's why you have got a very biased opinion, to say the least.
I have no objection to peaceful marches. I am not a bigot in that I don't judge or discriminate against people because of their religion, rather their own bigoted actions.
Again, my point is that the Orange Walk has been hijacked by bigots. The parades are awash with narrow minded scum who don't know why they are there other than to shout anti Catholic abuse, which is illegal. Also answer my question about human rights for "Irish Papists".
Your final sentence highlights just how naive you are. Roman canon law bans Scottish history books simply for telling the truth. Some Papish idolater in Rome decides which history books sit on the shelves of your local libraries. Therefore, it isn't just Papists who are brainwashed. Scottish history has been written by Papal Rome. The best history books ever written violated Roman canon law and that's why people are growing up with poor understanding of Scottish history. I'll give an example..
You want me to answer your question about human rights for Irish Papists. There's a certain history book entitled 'History of the Scottish nation' by Rev JA Wylie. His books violated Roman canon law and are only avaliable online. "We are confident that if this book had remained in general circulation Ireland wouldn't be divided today". Papal Rome writes history and that's why Irish Papists are seen as victims of British oppression. Fact is, the true history paints a somewhat different picture.
"We are confident that if this book had remained in general circulation Ireland wouldn't be divided today"? Written by a Presbyterian reformist who glorified Wylie's fanatical anti Catholicism. The reason the book is not in circulation is the same reason that Hitler's Mein Kampf is not in circulation. Normal people are not interested in the incoherent warblings of a madman. The World would be a far more peaceful place without bigots like you or Wylie.
No he was not. He was raised Catholic by default. He was no fan of Catholicism and many Catholics were persecuted during WW2. You will also be aware that many Scottish Catholics fought against the Germans in both World Wars. Unlike some, they weren't offered cushy numbers as shipyard gaffers and were sent to the front line.
"No he was not. He was raised Catholic by default. He was no fan of Catholicism and many Catholics were persecuted during WW2."
I i didn't "run away". I stopped our discussion when you typed this rubbish. Hitler was a Papist who bowed before the papalc chair. The Vatican pulled Hitler's styrings for him. If you can't accept that fact then i'm done with you.
Orange Walk, Parade of monkeys. Followed by wasters, Alkies and junkies. Look at the bigots, All in a row, Polluting our streets, A scourge on Glasgow. They blow on their flutes, And bang on their drums, In honour of William, And his band of gay chums. But our day will come, When Scotland is free, From bigots like these, Not Pop-e-reeeee!!!!!
Please don't bother. You've already proven your lack of tolerance. Your refusal to use the word "Catholic" - instead using terms straight out of Paisley's EIPS book for psycopaths like "Romanist" "Idolator" and "Papist". People like you are dangerous. You refuse to even acknowledge human rights for Irish Catholics yet claim July 12th is a celebration of a victory for human rights. Your paranoid delusions of a Catholic conspiracy are laughable in the extreme. You are a bitter, intolerant bigot.
The 12th of July celebrates a vitory in which the "Catholic" (not the correct term) King, and absolute monarch, was defeated. Do you even know the what the concept of absolute monarchy is? I say it's a good thing that an absolute monarch with allegiance to Rome was defeated. Why would we want a papish fascist like that on the British throne? And Paranoid delusions they aren't. You just find it difficult to accept you've been brainwashed, it's perfectly natural i suppose.
What about human rights for Protestants who were labelled sub-hman by the Pope? Scottish Protetsants including thousands of women and children settling on land which we have already established, wasn't "stolen" , were massacred when the Pope declared them to be the "devil". Crucified, hands and feet chopped off, etc. Answer that before discuss the events that followed.
We have not established anything at all. You have made an incorrect assertion which I ignored because it was not worthy of contempt. Of course Irish land owners had their land confiscated from them. I suggest you read up on the Flight of The Earls before you spout any more nonsense.
And another thing Islandretreat, I have already stated that I do not wish to defend Rome's past. Whether or not Protestants were massacred, the Vatican was guilty of many attrocities before and after so your finger pointing at the Catholic Church means nothing to me. You are deviating from the original point - i.e. the Orange Walk (regardless of it's significance, good or bad) has been hijacked by bigots. Yes or no?
"Orange Walk.. has been hijacked by bigots. Yes or no?"
Papists commonly allege...
I don't attend Orange walks but i do have great admiration for Rev Paisley in Ulster. "The time has come for courageous testimony outside the camp for the Lord Jesus Christ". In the youtube clip where he "heckles the pope" there you see an honest Christian man giving courageous testimony for the Lord Jesus Christ. One of the great truth-tellers along with Ninian, Patrick, Columba, Aiden, Knox, et al.
Roonsa is no more IslandRetreat you puritanical arsehole. I have taken over the mantle as IslandRetreat basher. I've got you sussed pal. Your modus operandi is to run away then come back when you think the coast is clear to get the last word as you think (chilidshly) that means you've won the argument. But all you do is spout unfounded allegations spoon-fed to you by a Presbyterian bigot.
BTW - re: Hitler/Vatican. You said Hitler was a "Papist" (which I take to mean Catholic). He wasn't.
"Hitler was a Papist whom the Fascist founder of the Opus Dei cult, you will recall from earlier discussion, admired greatly"
No. Let me remind you as your memory appears to be short. The only evidence of Escriva being on terms with the Nazis is via uncorroborated conversations with an ex-aide.
Also, you don't seem to mention too much about the Royal Links with the Nazis. If Germany won the war, they'd have jumped ship quick smart, no?
Escriva, the Fascist founder of the wicked cult, is on record as saying Hitler helped save Christianity in Spain. He meant Popery.
The Royal family were inspirational during WWII and didn't jump any ship. Ask any Londoner. It was the Vatican who was bed-fellows with the Nazis. It was the Fascist Italian Papists who changed sides. Pope John Paul II, in 1998, beatified (made him a "Saint") a Croatian Cardinal who played a part in liquidating over a million Jews and Christians in the 1940's.
Of course, liquidating a million Jews and Chrsitians means (in your own language) "fuck all" to you. Its dismissed without a second thought. I'd expect nothing else from an apologist for the greatest crimes in human history (the Inquisition etc!)
The British monarchy, and the City of London's leading Crown bankers, enthusiastically backed Hitler and the Nazis, bankrolled the Führer's election, and did everything possible to build the Nazi war machine, for Britain's planned geopolitical war between Germany and Russia.
Remember : During the 1930's most members of the Royal Family were living in southern Bavaria.
You're right about Stepinac though. He was a hero to Croatian Catholics but I can't justify his Nazi links.
"[Britain]did everything possible to build the Nazi war machine, for Britain's planned geopolitical war between Germany and Russia."
The Irish Papist strikes again. Britain stood toe to toe with the Nazi war machine for two years so that we could start a war between Russian and Germany? Wouldn't that strike you as being plain daft? Replace "Britain" with "the Vatican" and you're getting warmer. Napoleon and Hitler both failed to conquer Orthodox Russia for their masters in the Vatican.
Yet you still swear blind allegiance to this corrupt religious system. These Roman rulers of yours have complete & utter control over you. You're conditioned to forgive ANYTHING they do in the name of religion. So 'precious' is your faith to you that nothing they do will be evil enough in your eyes to make you stop and think. Millions of Papists needlessly dying in Africa won't even change your ways. You'll blindly follow all the way to the unquenchable fire !
"Yet you still swear blind allegiance to this corrupt religious system. These Roman rulers of yours have complete & utter control over you."
If that was the case then why did I say Fuck The 10 commandments? It's something that Catholics are supposed to uphold as part of their beliefs. I don't follow dogma blindly. I'm old enough and clever enough to make my own mind up about things. I admit when I'm wrong (unlike you) and I admit the failings of my church when they are apparent (unlike you).
"Yet you still swear blind allegiance to this corrupt religious system. These Roman rulers of yours have complete & utter control over you."
"If that was the case then why did I say Fuck The 10 commandments?"
In the ordinary catechisms used by the Roman Catholics of this country, the 2nd commandment is expunged from the Decalogue, and the 10th is split into two, to preserve the number of ten..
The Vatican has made its own 10 commandments up which Papists blindly accept.
"the 2nd commandment is expunged from the Decalogue, and the 10th is split into two, to preserve the number of ten.."
Catholics weren't the only ones to dick about with the 10 commandments. And I do believe the Lutherans and the Catholics have the same Decalogue as you referred to it.
Regardless, the 10 commandemnts mean nothing to me. I have my own commandments. And taking no shite from bigots like you is one of them.
If you're so interested in my views on Catholicism, Popery (or whatever you call it), seeing as you see fit to question my faith - search for "albino luciani" on YouTube. That's my idea of what a Christian man should be like.
"seeing as you see fit to question my faith - search for "albino luciani" on YouTube. That's my idea of what a Christian man should be like"
Read the Bible, don't just stare at it. Then flee from your idols. Read what Jesus Christ had to say on the matter. The Church has one foundation. It is Jesus Christ, her Lord! Crucifixes and Mass are a diabolical insult manufactured by Satan to insult and deride daily the work of Jesus Christ on the cross. Reject it all. Rosary beads the lot!
"Read the Bible, don't just stare at it" - I have read the Bible, many times. I suggest you read it too - instead of scouring for passages which you can paraphrase, twist and morph to use as a tasty soundbite to attack the Catholic Church.
"[Britain]did everything possible to build the Nazi war machine, for Britain's planned geopolitical war between Germany and Russia."
"The Irish Papist strikes again".
First off, I am Scottish. I don't mind being referred to as Irish but I was born and raised in Scotland.
Secondly, once again you have misquoted me. I was speaking about the Royal Family, not the British Govt. The link between the Nazis and the Royal family is undeniable.
"I was speaking about the Royal Family, not the British Govt. The link between the Nazis and the Royal family is undeniable."
Your reply isn't one befitting somebody who proclaims to be better informed than everybody else, who claims i "know nothing". Anybody with relatives in Nazi Germany at that time would have had "links with the nazis". The Royal family had links all over Europe. You're implying Britain planned WWII and the Royal family were some sort of traitors when it simply isn't true.
"I don't claim to be better informed than everyone else. Just clowns like you."
That's not what your ealier comment said. If you want to talk about Nazis then we shouldn't overlook the fact that we have a Nazi sitting on Satan's throne as we speak. Naturally! Now am i supposed to believe that you believe the old ex Nazi is now just a harmless old man? It's difficult to tell with you Papists.
What are Ratzinger's links to the Nazi Party, pray tell? Membership of Hitler Youth was mandatory in Germany! Did you know Rudolph Hess was a Protestant as were many leading men in the Nazi Party at that time? Does that mean German Protestants are all Nazis? YES, of course it does!!! Ha! Ha! Ha!
BTW - regarding that Ian Paisely vid when he starts hecking Pope John Paul II. That video is a belter. The look on Il Papa's face when Paisley's veins are just about popping out his neck is so cool, calm, collected and dignified. Something that Paisley will never be. It was a look that said "What a fud".
"Ian Paisely vid when he starts hecking Pope John Paul II. The look on Il Papa's face is so cool, calm, collected and dignified."
So, the arch-deceiver has deceived you. It's hardly the suprise of the century. Jesus was sneered at in his day much like Rev Paisley was when he heckled the Pope. Rev Paisley was more dignified than the Papists who punched him and threw things at him...
He had forewarned everybody of his peaceful protest, the Pope knew in advance.
"Rev Paisley was more dignified than the Papists who punched him and threw things at him..."
To use one of your quotes ... "You reap what you sow". Paisley is responsible for the murder of many Catholics in Northern Ireland. He was at the heart of the troubles in 1969. He was linked to murdering terrorists in the 60's (does the name Thomas McDowell ring any bells?).
You compare Paisley to Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour? You are a disgrace!!!!!
Howthe fuck can you puy Jesus in the same sentence as that fuckin retard paisley. paisley is no more a rev. than you or me...he bought the fuckin title and never earned it. Does that not show how much of a fake the cunt really is. paisley could not spell dignity never mind show it. He rants and raves like a demented prick. Has he got CJD ? The smile on the Holy Fathers face at the end says it all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I asked you if the Orange Walk has been hijacked by bigots. I don't care whether or not you admire Paisley. You call that man a Christian? A man who led the charge to force Northern Irish Catholics out their own homes - a move which started the trouble in Northern Ireland. And then he has the cheek to say he gives his Catholic consituents fair representation! The man is not Christian - he is not driven by Christian values. He is driven by hate. Hatred of the Vatian can the Catholic faith.
I've already stated that i support their right to march in Scotland. This country could do worse than get back to Bible based Protestantism. Morals have declined since Irish Papists started settling in British cities. And the reason for that is the Vatican actually taught them, for example, that "thou shalt not steal" means "stealing is fine provided.." and taught them that it was fine to lie in court rooms. Justice was therefore paralysed and morals declined accordingly.
"I've already stated that i support their right to march in Scotland"
I never asked about their rights. Of course they have the RIGHT to march, that's the fucked up World we live in. I asked you whether or not you believed it had been hijacked by brainless, layabout, benefit claiming, burberry wearing, sovereign ring donning, cheap wine guzzling thieving ned bigots? :)
"He was a homosexual, wasn't he? Or should I say bi-sexual as I'm sure he must have podgered his missus at least once or twice."
Are you backtracking now? Are asking me or are you telling me? It wouldn't be the first time Papists have demonised a Christian. I don't know, personally i would find it difficult to believe a single word that comes out of an Irish Papists mouth. The fact that democracy prevailed is more important than one man's sexual orientation.
You're evading my questions. I asked, "are you asking me or telling me?". Had i known you had changed your username and had i known who i was replying to i wouldn't have bothered. You call yourself a "Christian" and then say "As for the ten commandments. F**k them". You call yourself a Papist and then say "i have no problem with homosexuality". Why keep bringing it up in that case, given the Vaticans views on it...
Slightly "off topic" (as your Bigot Bigot ... sorry Follow Follow) pals say. Is it true that Martin Luther was obsessed with farts? I read somewhere that he believed he could chase the devil away with farts. I think the exact quote is : "But I resist the devil, and it is often with a fart that I chase him away. When he tempts me with silly sins, I say, 'Devil, yesterday I broke wind too. Do you have that on your list".
How strange that such a figure like Luther was into toilet humour!
"I don't know, personally i would find it difficult to believe a single word that comes out of an Irish Papists mouth"
I don't beleive anything you or people like you say so it makes us even on that score I suppose. The difference being that I don't judge a man by the religion he follows.
"Let there be no hate in your heart for your brother ....."
I read that somewhere ... now where was it again? The Bible or something.
I don't know, personally i would find it difficult to believe a single word that comes out of an Irish Papists mouth
"I don't beleive anything you or people like you say so it makes us even on that score I suppose. The difference being that I don't judge a man by the religion he follows."
Nothing to do with hate. The "difference" is that Ireland's "finest" Papist scholars are pervertors of history, relentless falisifiers of facts and consummate liars. They'd run a mile from the truth.
"Nothing to do with hate. The "difference" is that Ireland's "finest" Papist scholars are pervertors of history, relentless falisifiers of facts and consummate liars. They'd run a mile from the truth."
See you just go off on a tangent. I don't care what you THINK about "Irish Papists". What you think and what you can prove to a sane person are totally miles apart.

HEED1916 6 months ago
It would really surprise me if even half of this lot have ever seen the inside of a church in their lives. Although I think even the most religious marching protestant would struggle to convince me that there anything whatsoever 'Protestant' about marching. Killing of your fellow Christians is not something to be proud of. This is an aggressive and intollerant display of sectarian biggotry. Nothing more.
paddykelsall 8 months ago
@saffibaffi Yes yes, we have never set foot in a church. You ignorant bastard, you have no clue about the Orange Order. In order to become a member you have to be part of a SPECIFIC church, which means some members of the lodge meet with your church leader or pastor. Once again you fenian bastards a fooled. And at least we dont worship a man who wears half a ball. Do me a favour, before writing incorrect statements about something research so you actually know what you are talking about.
LordWellington15 10 months ago
@LordWellington15
It is true that the LOL were so sectarian that they did not allow members of the Church of Scotland in during the 1800s. Are the eastern orthodox allowed in?
Why do the Orange Order not celebrate the Williamite victory at the massacre of Glencoe?
HEED1916 6 months ago
@HEED1916 How the hell do you know what goes on in the Order. You are not a member so you have no say in anything about the order. Until you get off your computer chair and actually go to an Orange Parade, visit an Orange Hall or talk to Orangemen your opinion does not matter.
LordWellington15 6 months ago
@LordWellington15 You really are a halfwit. At the outset in this time of greater knowledge of science, do you really buy into the bible?
The orange order continue to be ignorant bigoted morons. Once they were even more bigoted in that they never allowed Presbyterians membership. The orthodox communities who split from Rome earlier cannot become members
HEED1916 2 months ago
@HEED1916 You obviously know nothing of the Order because you are not in it. The only things you know are from what you see on the TV. The Order never barred Presbyterians from joining, thats a fact. In canada all sorts of nationalities join the order, from Blacks to Italians, so you obviously have all your facts wrong.
LordWellington15 2 months ago
@LordWellington15 Pretty naive simplistic statements worthy of a sectarian bigot. I repeat - The Orange Order for its first 50 years was A Church of Ireland/Anglican organisation. Maybe you dont know enough about your own group? Why do you not have a parade at Glencoe to celebrate the Williamite victory of the Massacre of Glencoe?
The Irony is laughable - people like you singing the famine song while waving the Red Hand of Ulster - the symbol of Ulster Gaels. Fools.

England and Scotland are full of Loyalists like that, most are losers and hyporcrits, all are cowards.

As has already been explained many times before - it's not just the Catholic Church who has problems in this area.
In America, there has been 13,000 credible claims against priests which amounts to 228 per year. A recent Associated Press report stated that the three major insurance companies for Protestant Churches in America say they typically receive 260 reports each year of minors being sexually abused by Protestant clergy, staff, or other church-related relationships.

roonsa 3 years ago
"I'm too well read for you clowns."
Islandretreat 3 years ago
Christianity was here long before Romanism reared its ugly head in the 12th century. The Culdees brought the Gospel with them from Jerusalem where it found refuge in Scotland, beyond the limits of the Roman Empire. The churches in Britain are more ancient than the Papal church. Patrick then carried the good news to Hibernian, Christianising the island, Columba brought it back to Scotland, and Aiden carried the good news to Lindisfarne in the early 7th century where he Christianised the Saxons.
Islandretreat 3 years ago
The Celtic Church in Hibernia (Patrick's congregation) and the old Columban Gaelic church of Iona were shining lamps of Christianity when Europe was in darkness, all the way up to Hadrian's wall, for the Saxon Christians were the first to be converted to Romanism long before Rome usurped the Celtic and Gaelic churches in the 12th century. Of course, Popery is an after-growth of paganism spreading its popish theology under a Christian mask. And the early Scots knew that...
Islandretreat 3 years ago
"We cannot," said the British bishops, "depart from our ancient customs without the consent and leave of our people". Laurentius, the successor of Augustine, speaks (in the early 7th century) yet more bitterly of the antagonism of the Scots, "We have found the Scottish bishops worse even than the British."
Your earlier comments about Scots Protestants being "bigots" show you up for the ignoramus you are. Do you think Augustine would have said the same?
Islandretreat 3 years ago
Romanism only had a grip on Scotland during the 12-16th century (shorter than any other European country). All sorts of calamities occurred during that time! Even during those 4 dark centuries we know that Scottish Popery wasn't of native growth, it all had to be imported from abroad, the Roman monks as well as the system. Until Protestant Scotland, having thrown off the shackles of Romanism, went on to 'invent the modern world'. Presbyterianism made Scotland the most well-read nation on earth.
Islandretreat 3 years ago
Papal Romes spiritual & mental tyranny was keeping Popish countries in darkness. Turning them into uneducated beggars. Indoctrinating them into being Antichristian bigots, consummate liars & morally bankrupt Papists! These Irish Papists, in their hour of need, naturally fled to Protestant countries within the British Empire. Rome then managed to convince them that these Christian countries were to blame for Ireland's wretchedness. Which, of course, clouded the glories of the British Empire!
Islandretreat 3 years ago
Come on IslandRetreat - stop deviating. Has the Orange Walk (regardless of it's significance, good or bad) been hijacked by bigots. Yes or no? The Battle of the Boyne is widely recognised for securing civil and religious liberty for all inheritors of this first great step toward the democratisation of the western world. Are you not glad democracy prevailed !
Islandretreat 4 years ago
There wasn't much democracy for the Irish Catholics who had their land stolen from them.
I think the problem for people who, like me, are offended by the bigots who parade is that they're commemorating a sectarian victory which was never the case! William's elite force - the Dutch Blue force - carried the Papal banner and many of that force were Dutch Catholics. It was never about Protestants about Catholics. But tell that to the idiots with their Rangers tops on.
roonsa 3 years ago
I've given the reasons above for celebrating the victory and in typical Irish Republican fashion you start moaning about how unfair life has been on the Irish Papist. It wasn't Romanists who were branded the "devil" and massacred en masse in 1641. Also, the first wave of Protestants to settle in Ulster from Scotland settled on land that wasn't "stolen", it was given to two Scotsmen (Hamilton & Montogomerie) as a thank you for helping one of the O'Neills escape from Carrickfergus prison.
Islandretreat 3 years ago
Firstly I am not, as you assumed, an Irish Republican. I am Scottish and Nationalist Republican in the sense that I believe Scotland should be independent and free from a pampered unelected head of state. Secondly, your reasaon for "celebrating" was something to do with a victory for "human rights". What about the human rights for the "Irish Papists" as you referred to them in your typical condescending manner? My point is that this victory has been hijacked by bigots like you.
roonsa 3 years ago
You're the one showing intolerance of people having a peaceful march. I don't attend Orange Walks but i will defend their right to march in the streets of Scotland should they wish to. Intolerant bigots such as yourself shouldn't be allowed to stop them. You've been brainwashed by the Vatican and you don't even know it. Roman canon law dictates which history and religious books can be published and printed and that's why you have got a very biased opinion, to say the least.
Islandretreat 3 years ago
I have no objection to peaceful marches. I am not a bigot in that I don't judge or discriminate against people because of their religion, rather their own bigoted actions.
Again, my point is that the Orange Walk has been hijacked by bigots. The parades are awash with narrow minded scum who don't know why they are there other than to shout anti Catholic abuse, which is illegal. Also answer my question about human rights for "Irish Papists".
I haven't been brainwashed. I'm not Catholic.
roonsa 3 years ago
Your final sentence highlights just how naive you are. Roman canon law bans Scottish history books simply for telling the truth. Some Papish idolater in Rome decides which history books sit on the shelves of your local libraries. Therefore, it isn't just Papists who are brainwashed. Scottish history has been written by Papal Rome. The best history books ever written violated Roman canon law and that's why people are growing up with poor understanding of Scottish history. I'll give an example..
Islandretreat 3 years ago
You want me to answer your question about human rights for Irish Papists. There's a certain history book entitled 'History of the Scottish nation' by Rev JA Wylie. His books violated Roman canon law and are only avaliable online. "We are confident that if this book had remained in general circulation Ireland wouldn't be divided today". Papal Rome writes history and that's why Irish Papists are seen as victims of British oppression. Fact is, the true history paints a somewhat different picture.
Islandretreat 3 years ago
"We are confident that if this book had remained in general circulation Ireland wouldn't be divided today"? Written by a Presbyterian reformist who glorified Wylie's fanatical anti Catholicism. The reason the book is not in circulation is the same reason that Hitler's Mein Kampf is not in circulation. Normal people are not interested in the incoherent warblings of a madman. The World would be a far more peaceful place without bigots like you or Wylie.
roonsa 3 years ago
Hitler was a Papist.
Islandretreat 3 years ago
No he was not. He was raised Catholic by default. He was no fan of Catholicism and many Catholics were persecuted during WW2. You will also be aware that many Scottish Catholics fought against the Germans in both World Wars. Unlike some, they weren't offered cushy numbers as shipyard gaffers and were sent to the front line.
roonsa 3 years ago
"No he was not. He was raised Catholic by default. He was no fan of Catholicism and many Catholics were persecuted during WW2."
I i didn't "run away". I stopped our discussion when you typed this rubbish. Hitler was a Papist who bowed before the papalc chair. The Vatican pulled Hitler's styrings for him. If you can't accept that fact then i'm done with you.
Islandretreat 3 years ago
NedWatch 3 years ago
Please don't bother. You've already proven your lack of tolerance. Your refusal to use the word "Catholic" - instead using terms straight out of Paisley's EIPS book for psycopaths like "Romanist" "Idolator" and "Papist". People like you are dangerous. You refuse to even acknowledge human rights for Irish Catholics yet claim July 12th is a celebration of a victory for human rights. Your paranoid delusions of a Catholic conspiracy are laughable in the extreme. You are a bitter, intolerant bigot.
roonsa 3 years ago
The 12th of July celebrates a vitory in which the "Catholic" (not the correct term) King, and absolute monarch, was defeated. Do you even know the what the concept of absolute monarchy is? I say it's a good thing that an absolute monarch with allegiance to Rome was defeated. Why would we want a papish fascist like that on the British throne? And Paranoid delusions they aren't. You just find it difficult to accept you've been brainwashed, it's perfectly natural i suppose.
Islandretreat 3 years ago
What about human rights for Protestants who were labelled sub-hman by the Pope? Scottish Protetsants including thousands of women and children settling on land which we have already established, wasn't "stolen" , were massacred when the Pope declared them to be the "devil". Crucified, hands and feet chopped off, etc. Answer that before discuss the events that followed.
Islandretreat 3 years ago
We have not established anything at all. You have made an incorrect assertion which I ignored because it was not worthy of contempt. Of course Irish land owners had their land confiscated from them. I suggest you read up on the Flight of The Earls before you spout any more nonsense.
roonsa 3 years ago
And another thing Islandretreat, I have already stated that I do not wish to defend Rome's past. Whether or not Protestants were massacred, the Vatican was guilty of many attrocities before and after so your finger pointing at the Catholic Church means nothing to me. You are deviating from the original point - i.e. the Orange Walk (regardless of it's significance, good or bad) has been hijacked by bigots. Yes or no?
roonsa 3 years ago
"Orange Walk.. has been hijacked by bigots. Yes or no?"
Papists commonly allege...
I don't attend Orange walks but i do have great admiration for Rev Paisley in Ulster. "The time has come for courageous testimony outside the camp for the Lord Jesus Christ". In the youtube clip where he "heckles the pope" there you see an honest Christian man giving courageous testimony for the Lord Jesus Christ. One of the great truth-tellers along with Ninian, Patrick, Columba, Aiden, Knox, et al.
Islandretreat 3 years ago
Roonsa is no more IslandRetreat you puritanical arsehole. I have taken over the mantle as IslandRetreat basher. I've got you sussed pal. But all you do is spout unfounded allegations spoon-fed to you by a Presbyterian bigot.
BTW - re: Hitler/Vatican. You said Hitler was a "Papist" (which I take to mean Catholic). He wasn't.

"BTW - re: Hitler/Vatican. You said Hitler was a "Papist" (which I take to mean Catholic). He wasn't."
Hitler was a Papist whom the Fascist founder of the Opus Dei cult, you will recall from earlier discussion, admired greatly.
Islandretreat 3 years ago
"Hitler was a Papist whom the Fascist founder of the Opus Dei cult, you will recall from earlier discussion, admired greatly"
No. Let me remind you as your memory appears to be short. The only evidence of Escriva being on terms with the Nazis is via uncorroborated conversations with an ex-aide.
Also, you don't seem to mention too much about the Royal Links with the Nazis. If Germany won the war, they'd have jumped ship quick smart, no?
opusdei1916 3 years ago

Nope, you're wrong. Sorry to disappoint you.

"You're right.I can't justify.."

Islandretreat 3 years ago
"Read the Bible, don't just stare at it" - I have read the Bible, many times. I suggest you read it too - instead of scouring for passages which you can paraphrase, twist and morph to use as a tasty soundbite to attack the Catholic Church.

As you blindly accept your warped spoon-fed bigotted bile. If Paisley told you that the Pope was a lapdancing crack whore you'd believe him.

The link between the Nazis and the Royal family is undeniable.
opusdei1916 3 years ago
"I was speaking about the Royal Family, not the British Govt. The link between the Nazis and the Royal family is undeniable."
Your reply isn't one befitting somebody who proclaims to be better informed than everybody else, who claims i "know nothing". Anybody with relatives in Nazi Germany at that time would have had "links with the nazis". The Royal family had links all over Europe. You're implying Britain planned WWII and the Royal family were some sort of traitors when it simply isn't true.
Islandretreat 3 years ago

I don't claim to be better informed than everyone else. Just clowns like you.
Also as regards my response, I took a leaf out of your book and did a cut and paste job from some screwball site to see how you liked it.

" ... have a Nazi sitting on Satan's throne as we speak ..."
Satan's throne!!! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! etc, etc, repeat to fade.
Ha! Ha! Ha!
You're a fucking psycho pal.

Islandretreat 3 years ago
"Rev Paisley was more dignified than the Papists who punched him and threw things at him..."
To use one of your quotes ... "You reap what you sow". Paisley is responsible for the murder of many Catholics in Northern Ireland. He was at the heart of the troubles in 1969. He was linked to murdering terrorists in the 60's (does the name Thomas McDowell ring any bells?).
You compare Paisley to Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour? You are a disgrace!!!!!
NedWatch 3 years ago
Howthe fuck can you puy Jesus in the same sentence as that fuckin retard paisley. paisley is no more a rev. than you or me...he bought the fuckin title and never earned it. Does that not show how much of a fake the cunt really is. paisley could not spell dignity never mind show it. He rants and raves like a demented prick. Has he got CJD ? The smile on the Holy Fathers face at the end says it all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
crantara1 3 years ago

Islandretreat 3 years ago
"Morals have declined since Irish Papists started settling in British cities".
Please corroborate that with FACTS. You take one statistic, take another statistic, add 2 + 2 and come up with 5.
"And the reason for that is the Vatican actually taught them, for example, that "thou shalt not steal" means "stealing is fine provided.."
Again, I'd like to be pointed in the direction of independent facts. Not bigotted ranting from a Pulpit Puritan.

And I'm still waiting for an answer on the King William of Orange / Presbyterian anti-Sodomy values.
He was a homosexual, wasn't he? Or should I say bi-sexual as I'm sure he must have podgered his missus at least once or twice.

"Are you backtracking now? Are asking me or are you telling me? It wouldn't be the first time Papists have demonised a Christian"
I have no problem with homsexuality so don't tar me with the bigot brush. It's your Presbyterian pals who have the problem with it!!!!
opusdei1916 3 years ago
You're evading my questions. I asked, "are you asking me or telling me?". Had i known you had changed your username and had i known who i was replying to i wouldn't have bothered. You call yourself a "Christian" and then say "As for the ten commandments. F**k them". You call yourself a Papist and then say "i have no problem with homosexuality". Why keep bringing it up in that case, given the Vaticans views on it...
So are you asking me, or telling me?!

I don't beleive anything you or people like you say so it makes us even on that score I suppose. The difference being that I don't judge a man by the religion he follows.
"Let there be no hate in your heart for your brother ....."
I read that somewhere ... now where was it again? The Bible or something.

Nothing to do with hate. The "difference" is that Ireland's "finest" Papist scholars are pervertors of history, relentless falisifiers of facts and consummate liars. They'd run a mile from the truth.
