I'm not gonna jump on the "hating Metallica's newer music" bandwagon. I could never turn my back on this band. They are the sole reason I became a metal head and pretty much worship metal (good metal that is). I will give an honest opinion though. I do prefer their older stuff (first 5 albums) compared to anything after The Black Album. I like Load, Re-Load and Garage Days a lot. And Death Magnetic is a pretty sick record too. I just don't care for St. Anger or S&M so much.

I think the drums were too loud though, but then I realized that's what they wanted, early 2000 was a hard time for mostly James and he released his anger on St. Anger, which should definantly be their most famous.
