  • nice seed and flexibility

  • so are these freestanding bags any good, i cant hang a heavy bag where i live so this is pretty much my only option, they seem to move about alot when hit, which 1 would people recomend

  • @92mattfry It's because this guy is a skinny person, his punches and kicks aint powerfull im 16 and i have the same one and i nearly knock it over..

  • Beautiful spin kicks!

  • whats the whole point of fast forwarding the video,

  • @MrLeGhetto

er, I never fast forwarded, I did use a lot of transitions though.

  • nice from video learning ;D

  • @rulz95OGS95rulz

    thanks!

  • @KraZKaiL No problem.Just when punching, try not to lean forward that much with you'r body espesially with your head it makes you an easy target (:

  • @rulz95OGS95rulz

haha, my kyokushin instructors keep telling me that too. lol

  • @KraZKaiL hah really? sweet :D

  • Cool i do taekwondo so its cool to see a different martial art from time to time

  • great training bro! your stance reminds me a bit of machidas!

btw what kind of bag/dummy is that?

  • Great Mate! But u shold put more power in to the strikes and not rely so much on speed!Anyway Keep up the good work!

  • great job :) you got some skills

  • @talder123

    haha thanks

    some but not enough.

  • I give this Kid 5 Stars ***** No pardon me..

  • Real nice !

  • wheres ur head movement? extention on ur punches? or counters?

  • @nickhallnh40 dont worry about that you can rarely do counters on standing bags swinging heavy bags are design for counters because they move a bit more freely

  • i train at a mma gym. i wanted to get a standup heavy bag.. not the one hanging from the ceiling to practice some muay thai at home. i m lookin to spend about 100-200$. which bag do you think would be perfect for muay thai?

  • @bballsh4h

kind of like mines but the foam reaches almost until the floor (for low/leg kicks)

search up wavemaster xl or xxl. doesnt have to be that brand but just an example.

im not sure if you can find one within your budget tho.

  • Impressive

  • I have wrestled throughout highschool and college, the one thing i would tell you to work on is your stance. You have a very high base witch would make you very easy to take down

  • @MrDripdrop

yes i know that. this was to focus on stand up tho.

man, i wish they had high school-college wrestling here in canada

  • @KraZKaiL Yeah that does suck but if you look around hard enough you surely you could find a wrestling partner somewhere. How long have you been working your stand up? It seems pretty good. That is my weakest point, i have been traning boxing for about 6 months now but i have a long way to go

  • @MrDripdrop

i started TKD at 7 stopped at uhh 16. yea yea its not effective but taught me basics. took off from there and learned the rest from vids etc.

i started practicing stand up seriously for a year now i guess.

post vids of your boxing on youtube, people actually do give help

  • thats no taekwondo m8

and how much was that boxing bag? i got one but its hanging from the roof

  • @94amaru

    $150 cdn

  • @KraZKaiL

il look for 1 on ebay

  • did you ever train in a gym or did you learn on your own

  • @ohyeee22

pls learn to read video info, no offense, but i get these comments so much.

  • @KraZKaiL it wouldnt let me open it. and dont flatter yourself.

  • @ohyeee22

and how did I do that?

  • Nice! I'd say tuck your chin in when punching though. That's just the boxer in me talking though. It does keep your chin protected though and not left out there. keep yourself protected at all times man. Keep it up!

  • @joshshing609

thank you! i have noticed that and have been working on it.

  • his right leg seems quicker than hands))

  • bad ass dude

  • best on here by far !! watched it over again many times keep it up

  • @TheKhalipha

    thanks!

  • What kind of bag is that? DO you fill it with water or sand? I just bought one and it's movin all over the place..

  • @Judokkaa

i filled it with both sand AND water, it's around 280-300 lbs overall.

if its just water it'll move around.

  • Sick! @:54 ur kicking like a donkey that can do the splits! Keep it up man.

  • @bluwakpa i dont know whether to be thankful or offended

    but thanks? lol

  • Does it make a lot of noise when your hitting it?

I want to buy something, but I'm worried about making the downstairs neighbour angry.

  • @TrickWithAKnife

mmm, if u do buy one of these, you better put sand in. water will slosh around when u hit it, and will move a lot + noise.

puzzle floor mats under it and an area around the place where u will use it will probably tone it down.

if you live in an apartment, its probably best to just find a gym with a punching bag.

  • Excelent video! you're a very good fighter!

  • Great vid man. How did you get started? I'm just starting out. What advice or tips could you give me being in the beginning stages? Thanks!

  • @eforce1200 go to a gym:)

  • Nice vid man.

  • Nice video..

  • Break it down! Good technique, nice speed, but no cat noises?

  • @Toki52

    thanks,

    lol cat noises?

  • awesome vid! really good technique, and LOL at your last kick :p

    *missed the bag* "shiiiiiit"

  • you've some good techniques!

  • bad mofo right there.

  • @KraZKaiL Isnt it supposed to be (Orthodox -> soutpaw -> kick with left leg?)

  • @veshkeat

yea you're right, sorry about typo, i got confused

  • Good....i was like..wth..how is this not working..

  • lol i fixed the comment

  • WHAT BEAT IS THIS?

  • szép látványos rugások a laikus szemével ,csak harci értéke annyi, mint az utolsó rugásé!PP

  • im sorry, but I don't speak your language, hungarian if I'm correct?

  • yo how do you train for switch kicks?

  • orthodox stance->Southpaw stance->left leg round kick

    OR

southpaw stance->orthodox stance->right leg round kick

    corrected thanks to veshkeat

  • wow, great video, i never seen how well standing punching bag work, it works well! not as good as hanging, but good enough! im gona get one of these!

  • yeah, just be sure to make your base heavy. Sand is recommended so that it doesnt bob a lot, unlike water. inside of mines is actually sand and water, so pretty much mud by now haha

  • watch ur hands when ur kickin, eh?

  • yep i know

  • mother fucker

    keep at it

    respect

  • thanks!

  • Here is some constructive criticism for you. For your age you are actually pretty good. Your kicks have good flexibility and form for the most part. Your hands are down when you kick you mite want to work on that. Your boxing skils need work, your footwork is not right, your punches are not fully extended and your head movement needs work as well also your hands are near your chest when you are throwing combos and you pause before you throw any combos.

  • yeah, i know all of that, please take note this is almost 2 years ago. thanks for the attempted advice though

  • very nice work man. How much training experience do you have? How many years etc.

  • you would probably knock me out before I could even see your fist hit my face your that fast. A*M*A*Z*I*N*G

  • have you ever kicked the ceiling?

  • lol i could, but i dont wanna hurt myself

  • Hey man do you think you can help me out? I'm trying to improve the speed of my kicks. i have a couple vids of check em out, how can i make my kicks faster like yours are at 1:29

  • fuck fighting him :L

  • lol

  • Your really good man. Props! come check out my crappy vid when u get a chance! PEACE

  • and the bag is like 80lbs not 280

  • its 280,

if it was 80, i wouldve been able to jab it to the floor. if not, then it would wobble a whole lot more.

  • i have one just like it its filled with eather water or sand right?

  • yea, i filled it with both, its pretty much mud in there. water by itself is easy to get but it's too easy to wobble and moves too much. havent tried sand by itself

  • Well, I'm not THAT far away now. Haha.

  • Damn kid, you're pretty fast. Plus, I'm 15, bout to be 16 and 5'10. So I'm right there with you. Haha.

  • yea but im 17 now lol

  • Woow we are very similar I trained in taekwondo and jujitsu and watched muay thai vids and learned

  • yea, its easy to adapt to other martial art styles once you understand the science behind it.

  • yeah true that I was going to practice shidokan karate next

  • nice, i think i'll be sticking by muay thai for a loong while

  • great stuff, young man. amazing speed and some good kicking ability placed in well thought out combos - been looking for a vid to see if those wavemaster things any good for kicking. looks like they are!

  • shit bro those kicks are fast but u should invest in a punching bag(everlast is what i have) between 70 and 100 lbs it really helps add poweer to your kicks and punches mine helped me gain alot of power and nice vid

  • lol thanks.

I used to have a 70 pound bag.

I shook the house too much with it so

    Im using this one.

  • yea no prob now i have to work on matchen your speed your a notch or two faster

  • Wow, for someone who is self taught in muay thai, your knees are excellent. I'm getting a 100lb bag with a stand. i've trained on both and the wavemaster doesn't help to develope power. When the form is correct, the 100lb bag will fly. It's also necessary for shin conditioning. You have to add weights to it to keep the stand stable. Some people bolt it down. The stand itself is like 125 dollars and you can get it online. Some people use bags of sand from home depot to hold it down.

  • thanks for the compliments!

power is developed through proper technique and proper transfer of power from bottom up (legs->hips->punch/kick/knee/etc). making a bag fly is just a reward for doing so.

  • Damn man, i love your video. I'm watching it every morning since 1 week so i'm in a good mood and ready to go to work. It reminds me of the "When we were king" video of Ali.

Nice move, and especially nice music. What's the name of this song ?

    please do other vids. Peace

  • thanks for the kind words.

the song is actually a loop i just found off flashkit, i forgot what it was called.

and yea, I'll get to making a 2009 training vid, it'll be around late fall.

  • that tkd punching bag is too small for you you should get 100 pound bag especially if you want stronger round house kicks.

  • yea. i wanted the large hanging ones that are long enough to touch the floor, but im not allowed to get one of those. I shake the house greatly enough when I use the standing one apparently. Think of what the hell would happen if I had a hanging one in my basement.

  • actually you can buy bag stands for really cheap now probably 60 dollars. Im not sure if you have sports authority there but they constantly have sales on boxing equipment.

  • oh, i didn't know that. It's hard to find places where I live that sell martial arts equipment. When i get my own place, I'll think of getting a stand to get a hanging bag. how do stands work anyways? do you screw it to the ground? or does it support the weight of the bag without being bolted to the ground?

  • hey dude very nice kicks but just dnt leave ur face open wen u kick like dnt swing ur arms soo much cuz a quick fighter wuld see the openin an hit u

  • thanks for the comment!

i've been told that a couple times already, and I have been restraining myself everyday from flailing my arms too much.

I'll be making another training vid soon

  • ur welcome n oh haha ok well cant wait to see it...i just had a recent muay thai match myself i won with a K.O. in the second round it wuz soo sick ill put a vid up so u can see it

  • woo nice!

  • haha yup broke his eye socket with a kick

  • Pretty good for untrained I train mma u got some skill deff try to train though maybe get on my levil sone day

  • ...

  • ur levil eh...-_-

  • Kicks are good but don't swing your arms so much, a quick opponent will see that opening in your defense while your hands are down and hit you.

  • wow dude, great kicks.

  • thanks!

  • How did you gain so much speed?

  • through practicing the same techniques over and over again and some workout

  • YO, Adam here.

    careful with your guard.

it goes down when you kick and during your combos ;P spar when you come back : D

  • lol ty man, and i DO guard when i kick, thats why one hand goes near my hand.

and i might come for summer, hope i see u in class when i go lol

  • yo i love the intro

  • hehe ty

  • hi nice training check my videos soon if you can

where did u get the muay thai shorts

  • thanks

and uhh, those are actually just regular basketball shorts. muay thai shorts are a bit shorter and wider

  • Nice one mate, it makes really jealous as I was doing muay thai training 6 years ago when I had a nasty car accident that severely injured my spine. I've only just been able to go back to the gym now. But you can never keep a good fighter down and I can begin muay thai again this year :-D can't wait.

  • that's an interesting story, keep the fire burning!

btw, i wish i was allowed to go in a gym, parents wont let me. so everything ive done is using experience from tkd and paying close attention to many muay thai fights and videos and imitate.

thanks for the comment though, and good luck with your new training!

  • nice dude good clip im a cage fighter out of D.C and man your stand up is GREAT! check my clips out

    Ramon the guru Guerra!

  • what did u use to fill the bag's base? i don't see how it can weigh 280-300lbs. not trying to disrespect or anything. i'm looking into getting a bag myself, and i wanted to get a professional's opinion.

  • i filled it up with :

approximately 250 lbs of sand sand (medium grain for best results)

and then fill it with water until you can see the reflection of light close to the hole of the base. this will produce maximum weight that the base will be able to hold.

the instruction says that you either put water OR sand, and not to mix it, but i disregarded that.

so inside my base i pretty much have mud in there.

if u put only water, it will move around A LOT, cuz i tried it when i first got it.

  • you have fast hits, but I saw power in like only 5 of those o.o

  • thanx

but i dont know if you've read the description, the bag itself is 280-300 lbs, making it wobble is actually hard enough.

  • wow. from only watching video's your good lol =]

you should work with weights though, pack a little more physical strength.

  • Thanks!

and im trying to do weight lifting too, but I get so lazy at times haha

  • What kind of bag is that?

  • century wavemaster stand up punching bag

  • cheers

  • nice....

also nice last word..."shit"<--- that was so random, LOL

  • its because i missed the bag LOL

  • o____o SHIT SON

  • KRAZY!! :o
