Don't hit it at an angle! Even the best quality batons will bend if you do that!

@TRASHoftheTITANS thats what they said to do o the manufacturer video, but once mine started bending if straightened it up with a hammer now I just hit it straight down and it works llike a charm

i have the same baton and its a real good baton for the price, people may say that it has low strength and try to prove it by smashing it on wood and soforth, but i am under the impression that most people own them for self defence, not murdering wood haha, all in all, good video man :) and i would recomend hitting it on the tip (STRAIGHT DOWN) not the smack on an angle, as you could bend the baton :)

P.S. i would use thin oils, not a thick lubricant, it works better and theres no cloggin

If you have the impression that they are not for murdering wood what if during a fight you hit other things that your opponent ? Let's say his crowbar that he uses to crack your head, or the ground as you felt and want to hit his leg and the nonhardened baton bends..what then ??

all ya have to do is smack the tip on the hard floor but do it hard as you will be there for ever then it will just close

try this: Instead of pushing the baton down with ur wieght, Tap it harder down in a sharp quick motion.

Those Taiwanese made batons are the same, it happened with me aswell, I also added some bike chain oil at the jiont and they close great too! ^^
