I think when they say Gauntlet, they mean a team battle arena like the word's meaning. Not the game series, it doesn't play like that afterall so why assume it's a spin off of the action rpg game?

Problem is, is this doesnt look like it plays like the Gauntlet games at all. An online Gauntlet would be great if they executed it right though. (That means NOT like Seven Sorrows)

Agreed. Gauntlet requires HUGE numbers of enemies and INSANELY fast gameplay. Otherwise, it's not Gauntlet.

yeah you are sending one of your gauntlets at your home to the online game for a real experiance. and if you dont have any guantlets you can always send a shoe to shoe online instead
