I had one of these fitted to my 40th Anniversary Edition 370 today and I can confirm the sound is excellent "in the flesh". More sporty and deep sounding than the stock exhaust without being over the top.
@onetwothreefour721 No - didn't look at the Amuse but I did check Akropovic. Nice system but very expensive (in the UK anyway). I love the Stillen - very happy with it :)

I can only speak for myself, but I know that two identical cars, one MT one AT, I'll be faster MT. And I think the horsepower rating is actually less for automatics, because the dinky torque converters are no comparison to a flywheel and clutch. And one last thing, I was looking at a Chevy Camaro ad the other day, and while the MT version is rated at 425 or so horsies, the AT=400.
@nrobin87 It isn't true in all cases, but it is when dealing with a 370z. It has a 7 speed auto and has run as fast as a 12.8 stock. No manual has gotten anywhere near that.
VW/Audi DSG is the same way. It is not humanly possible to shift faster than those transmissions.

nothing wrong with autos, specially turbocharged ones :P stall it up and launch like a bat out of hell, people freak out when they see me launch with full boost. as manual supras usually drop off boost as soon as they launch or they dump the clutch and spin and go nowhere fast. autos easy keeps boost constant and shifts faster so fuck manuals. only thing there good for is track on the street a well set up auto will rape a manual.

@VancouverZ34 If the instructions are followed, including lifting the center section before tightening everything down, you'll be good to go. Just make sure the person hasn't altered the exhaust in any way, always a gamble with getting something used. The exhaust is all 304SS, and produced using both cutting and welding jigs to ensure perfect construction.
@STILLENvids Thats true ive had HKS exhaust and Greddy before and honest to say when i bought Stillen the sound is deeper less noisy better sound by far and the best part is i got waaaay more power out of my Car with stillen.. stillen is top Notch they make what they claim and the quality is spot on.
AT is lame on a Z car but I own a MT 350z and honestly a MT is fun at first but it gets old especially if you live in the city with traffic. Half the kids Bitching probably don't even know how to drive a stick

Some people are just tired of driving stick, and just want to focus on the drive line instead of gear shifting. There are times I want to drive a stick and there are times I want to drive an AT, thats why I have both. But please, AT is not lame just because you don't have one.
To all you guys bad mouthing the AT 370Z, remember, the GTR is an AT also. As are a lot of the Super Cars out there. Bottom line is it's all about preference. I have always owned MT but I chose the AT this time as it is pretty damn close to the MT in driving it simply takes some getting used to.

I just went to a bunch of pages where they tested the power gain of the stillen Cats and they say a gain of like 290whp, so Im thinking wait a minute, the Z stock has 332 HP but than they say after the stillen cats installed you get like 280whp or something like that. But going from 332 to 280 would mean you lose HP, somebody clear this up for me.... and what does WHP mean?
@1983bleach WHP = Wheel Horsepower, what really matters, as measured on a dyno. 332 is the factory horsepower as rated at the flywheel, not the wheels. All cars have drivetrain losses through the transmission, etc. +18hp would equate to approx 25 flywheel horsepower increase, or ~357HP vs 332HP

America takes 40 years to finally adapt to manuals at a time when Auto's are better and far quicker (dual clutch) and everyone is going Auto :-) makes me laugh so hard.

nothing wrong with autos, specially turbocharged ones :P stall it up and launch like a bat out of hell, people freak out when they see me launch with full boost. as manual supras usually drop off boost as soon as they launch or they dump the clutch and spin and go nowhere fast. autos easy keeps boost constant and shifts faster so fuck manuals. only thing there good for is track on the street a well set up auto will rape a manual.

@VancouverZ34 If the instructions are followed, including lifting the center section before tightening everything down, you'll be good to go. Just make sure the person hasn't altered the exhaust in any way, always a gamble with getting something used. The exhaust is all 304SS, and produced using both cutting and welding jigs to ensure perfect construction.

@yus153 If you want total control you need to have both of your hands on or near the wheel (that's the steering wheel for the seriously backward such as yourself) all the time.. especially in a car like the Z where I find the manual gearbox so awkward, clumsy and rubbery (right hand drive vehicles in the UK) . And also talking about total control in a car that's manual but rev matches automatically is contradictory.. where is your total control of the throttle eh?? oh wait it's... automatic!!

Some people are just tired of driving stick, and just want to focus on the drive line instead of gear shifting. There are times I want to drive a stick and there are times I want to drive an AT, thats why I have both. But please, AT is not lame just because you don't have one.

To all you guys bad mouthing the AT 370Z, remember, the GTR is an AT also. As are a lot of the Super Cars out there. Bottom line is it's all about preference. I have always owned MT but I chose the AT this time as it is pretty damn close to the MT in driving it simply takes some getting used to.

Guys please, an automatic is when you put it on D and accelerate. These are MANUMATIC,that is an automatic transmission, with some elements of manual transmission control. a gear can be manually selected instead of having the computer control all shifts. there are variety of labels such as 'tiptronic', 'Geartronic', 'Touchshift', 'Sporttronic. For All you idiots, its really the same thing without a clutch. UPDATE yourself and STFU if you don't know anything about modern cars, THANKS.

I just went to a bunch of pages where they tested the power gain of the stillen Cats and they say a gain of like 290whp, so Im thinking wait a minute, the Z stock has 332 HP but than they say after the stillen cats installed you get like 280whp or something like that. But going from 332 to 280 would mean you lose HP, somebody clear this up for me.... and what does WHP mean?

@1983bleach WHP = Wheel Horsepower, what really matters, as measured on a dyno. 332 is the factory horsepower as rated at the flywheel, not the wheels. All cars have drivetrain losses through the transmission, etc. +18hp would equate to approx 25 flywheel horsepower increase, or ~357HP vs 332HP
