1/2 - Jo Djosie Nene are a group whose music bridges the gap between Western melody and African beat. Following the lonely acoustic guitar, the track quickly jumps into a barrage of drum beats as the lead singer's voice blends into the rhythm. After a tantalizing start, we are presented with a concoction of solo drum beats and eerie echos that appear to reflect the sorrow of losing a loved one. The poetic prose is given repetitively, working superbly well with the fusion of music.
