  • would have been better with atc

  • awesome footage ... bravo

  • Hard to compete with Air Transat fares

  • lovley sounds

  • is there some kind of difference in routes between the 777 and the 767 on flights on air canada form london heathrow to toronto. I've noticed the 767 always flies further north over greenland and further north over canada but the 777 always seems to stay further south over the ocean. Is it something to do with the fact the 777-300er has the ge90 engines which have more power on single engine mode. i have heard they can fly longer etops than any other engine.

  • We forget what an outstanding airplane this is, overshadowed by the 777, but this thing is all business and has a beefy in-your-face look, like a powerful motorcycle!

  • Seems that the video kind of exaggerates the amount of visible exhaust from the engines. They're actually fairly clean burning - it's old turbojets that produce massive smoke.

  • Air Canada's retired on my channel so go and watch it

  • Future Airplane Interior Design:

    1. More Leg Room with full reclining.

    2. Skye View with Lounge and Bar.

    3. Bio-Leather appointed seats with TV screens.

    4. Electronic Push Button Window Tinting.

    5. Hybrid Turbine Engine Technology.

  • its voice is so sexy

  • that was a pretty steep takeoff, must be the rolls royce trent engines

  • @7600692 thats about a 37 degree pitch, slightly above normal, but within limits

  • when my time comes and i become ill as every person does as they get older i want to choose my way of dying rather than waste away in hospital. I want to be put into a aircraft with only me onboard and steeply descend into the rocky mountains in a safe location at high speed as a way to celebrate my death. I no its a long way off but its better that than sitting in a bed left to die. I'd love

  • thats a 767-400

  • Some Of Air Canada Boeing 767-300ER's Have GE-CF6, Other With PW JT9D!

  • @AirCanadaA55555A

    There PW4060's actually ;)

  • LOL, Oops! Forgot That!

  • air canada never had accidents w00t

  • Um, yeah they have had several. Some fatal.

  • Ever heard of the Gimli Glider, TheMarksmenCat?

  • I was speaking of casualties

  • The crash of flight 797 in 1983 resulted in 23 deaths, and 2 people died on flight 189in 1978. Also, there was 1 fatality on a flight in Quebec in 1969.

I will say however, Air Canada has a stellar safety record.

  • Actually Everyone Does Not Know That Flight 621 Crashed And It Was An Air Canada Douglas DC-8. No Survivors!

  • Well Only Flight 621 Was Air Canada's Most Fatal Flight.

  • the reasan why its smokey because it using jt9d-7 so it will be like that

  • No they don't. 5 of the 767's have PW4000's and all the rest have GE engines. All the PW-

JT9d-7R4D engines were on the 767-200's which have all been retired.

  • Air Canada's livery looks amazing on all of it's aircraft, particularly the 767 and 777!

  • AC is most reliable airline in the world

  • what a beauty !!!!!!!

  • just like a bus driver

  • AHHHHH! i cant waiit! im going to toronto on monday and then to spain im just watching this to make me more exited ( why am i torturing myself!) lol! thx for posting!!

  • Manchester and Glasgow are now dropped altogether.Seems strange since there was always alot of traffic between canada and the uk.

  • Codeshare agreements with BMI made those cities feeders to London Heathrow for all Air Canada flights.

  • @p9i7 air transat still fly

  • I fly on Air Canada flights to Toronto quite often (I think they were 777's) and kinda liked the way they designed there first class...I guess because I've never seen first class designed that way. They were like these little sci-fi pods that were more comfortable that just seats that tilted back. (although not really ideal for familiy-couple travel as you can't visit or sleep on eachother.) I only fly first class Air Canada if I'm flying alone.

  • ...Air Canada doesn't have first class, my friend...It only has business and economy...

  • Air Canada has economy and Executive class which, they claim is positioned between Business and First class on other carriers.

  • OK, well the equivalent to what first class is for US airliners...don't know what the technical term is. But when I make phone reservations, I say 'first class' and they book me in whatever seating that is in front of coach - Whether it's 'business' or 'executive'...I don't know.

  • its not toothpast colored, its called the "frosted maple leaf" there new livery ;)

  • air canada rules!!

  • more leg room with AC than any other airline.

  • What's up with the left side spoiler @ 1:00? Kinda late to be doing pre-t/o checks eh?

  • flight control checks

  • Only the left side spoilers came up though, as if it was making a sharp left aileron turn. Will the spoilers come up on a aileron full travel check?

  • the pilot was just checking the control surface often they dont check the spoilers on run up

  • i think he was testing the controls

  • Flew with this plane in 07, Oct from Montreal to Frankfurt and it was nice n confy.

Flew with 777 last Sept and although it was a nice plane, the 767 was more comfortable, Btw the 777 was KLM, not A.C. Maybe it was just the way the seats were arranged.

Understand airlines can order their planes configured many different ways with more or less seats. The KLM 777 was crammed with no leg room on economy class, but the food was okay and was still 10 times better service than for example Alitalia.

  • air canada planes are very beautiful with the new livery

  • looked like a crosswind landing!

  • I miss flying Air Canada direct to Toronto from Manchester - I liked the 747 service via Glasgow in the 1990s and then the 767s too. For $75 more you could upgrade to Supercomfort - you just paid at check- in - a bargain!

  • you make no sense you asian twat

  • beatiful climb out :)

  • Air Canada don't fly from Manchester anymore. From my experience working at this airport, I think the nest airline to fly to America is US airways or American Airlines. To fly to Canada, its either got to be Thomas Cook or BMI, connecting at Heathrow. Great video though, lovely colours and a fab airline!

  • Air Transat still have a scheduled service to Toronto from Manchester - but its not the daily service that Air Canada used to operate - fly back to MAN Air Canada!

  • look at the dust from the gear doors

  • sweeet!i always fly a 767 when i travel...i wan to gly something else,i love air canada and am proud to have sucj a great canadina airline!do you ever get any 777's from air canada?

  • i second that 777janek :) no MAN does not have any AC 777 flights.

  • no flyglobespan are the best!!

  • Fly British Airways !

  • No, fly Northwest!

  • neither Northwest or BA are any good for getting to North America from Manchester because neither of them fly Transatlantic from there

  • Comment removed

  • if possible

  • va vedere "spettacolare decollo" sull Atlantico

  • It's actually a 767-3YO, the difference is it has 4 doors instead of 4 overwing exits.

  • hi whats the 3yo actual stand for,yes i no its a 300 series but what do the yo stand for ,and the other ones like 466?412?416?can you explain thanks .

  • 3YO means the plane has a different seat config. than the original 300ER, and also it has doors instead of overwing exits. Same goes to other planes that are different in an other way than the original version.

  • I think the last 2 numbers before the series number is the customer code. like Philippine Airlines. Boeing Customer code is F6. e.g Boeing 747-4F6. United Airlines Boeing Customer code is 22. for example: Boeing 767-422. I think the "Y0" Y-Zero not Y- letter O. is from a group called G.P.A. Airbus Didn't put a customer codes to their customers but they put codes regarding on the designation of Engines.like A320-214 that has CFM56 engines while A320-232 that has IAEv2500 Engines. things like that

  • The 777 has wing flick ups so does'nt need big winglets

  • Why doesnt the boeing 777 have winglets? Like its the most modern aircraft from boeing this time.

  • nope it doesnt

  • If you dont include the 787 obviously

  • true:)

  • Well the 777-300ER and -200LR have what are called raked wingtips, which use up less fuel than regular winglets.

  • oh thanks

  • "which use up less fuel than regular winglets"

    Not necessarily.

Blended Winglets are better for takeoff and climb performance, Raked Wingtips are better for long extended cruises.

Obviously, because the 772LR is the longest ranged airliner in the world, and the 773ER not far behind it, they're much better served with rakes.

A 73W however, is much better off with Blends, because they do plenty of shortfield (etc) ops, but rarely cruise for more than 6hrs.

  • not true the blended winglets aid in fuel economy which therefore increases range as it does for 767 and 757

  • Try having half a clue as to what you're talking about before trying to "correct" someone.

Blended winglets work by lowering induced-drag at the lower end of a flight envelope... as a byproduct, they decrease the fuel used in takeoff+climb, making them great for shorthaul aircraft

The reason they're on on SOME longer-haul aircraft is due to retro-fit. APB doesn't have BCA's patent to utilize Rakes. That's why newer Boeing longhaulers have Rakes, and retrofitted Boeing longhaulers have Blends

  • excuse me.......i doo no what winglets are u dont have to pick me up on that!thanks and 777 has larger engines are bigger than 767's but tere littrely the same

  • Some 767 300's were built with 8 exits. I used to fly on some of them when I flew for Qantas. There were ex British Airways models. We refered to them as "ACE" models, based on the manufacturer of the galleys. We had to be specially trained on them as their exit operation was quite different from our regular overwind exit 767's.

  • boeing 777 has wings that flick up at the end of them

  • just an fyi shezer09, the parts that "flick up" are called winglets.

  • yer i kno there winglets im not thick! i jst couldnt be bothered typing that coz i was in a rush!

  • LOL. How pathetic... Saying:

    boeing 777 has winglets

is a LOT shorter than what you said. You didn't know and because you're a pathetic little wuss you wouldn't admit it.

  • It is Boeing 767. Boeing 777 has larger engines.

  • No it is a boeing 767-300ER

  • What type of aircraft is this? Boeing 767's don't have that many exits!

  • A 767-300ER sir..
