One of the better renditions. I would have preferred the organ to be louder, though — at times I could barely hear it.  The scenery helped out a lot! One more thing: it's La Trinité-sur-Mer (aka An Drinded-Karnag). Cheers! :-D

Hi bonnies 1234567: I agree with you. Karajan is great conductor of our times. I like him and Bernstein's Mahlers.. Adagio filled my heart with heaviness, tranquil, peaceful, sorrowful. So many emotions within 10 minutes.

Albinoni is typical of the '700's Venetian barocque, of the gentle and sad decadence of Venezia in ther XVIII C. Images matching the mood of this music can be rather found during the approach of sunset in a sunny day in Venezia - NOT IN FRANCE!!! Besides, Albinoni's melody can only be heard as of 4:56. Karajan es la cúspide de grandes directores. Sin duda, si escuchamos con detalle los conductores aplican su sensibilidad a la Orquesta, dan brillo a un solista e integran el todo. La composición es hermosa, épica y al mismo tiempo, sacra por su origen Cristiano. Conjunción perfecta.
