  • You've got FANS in Old Forge, NY!!!! Kudos!

  • Love the video. Great job of making light of a situation that should never have happend.

  • Where can I get the chords and lyrics to this?

  • Shades of ole Woody Guthrie. Strong work!

  • We all know it was the Yorkers who "fergot" to maintain the bridge. Hell, it is just a fun song so let it go. From the west coast of New England, Craig

  • Excellent job as always, and good to see you on the "tube". Dad realy enjoyed it... The song and the pillows "hit the spot".

  • Lolz luv this song now saw it dis mornin......

  • truss me, this song is dynamite!! it spans the ages! i was held in suspension all the way thru. speedy arnold, you are a champ!

  • See the live perfomance on youtube. Search for Live! from Bulwagga Bay. URL links don't seem to be able to be posted here.

  • Awesome Song, you did a really good job, Really Funny and True too

  • Very well done song for such a short time being made after the bridge fell into the wata. I got a chuckle out of it. Thanks

  • Hi Speedy as could be expected Super Song!!! My daughter loves your songs and book! We love your music and we miss Doug!!! I used to work with Travis...

  • Great Song! It should be used open teh respective legislative sessions in VT and NY! I loved taking this bridge driving from Burlington to western ny and taking route 8 thru the Adirondacks. More beautiful than the Whitehall-Fairhaven route.

  • I move we make this our new National Anthem. As 2009 was the year of implosions and the kids are watching the candy store.

  • good song speedy love the humor

  • what are you talking about, "ineptitude from shore to shore?" it was New York's job to do maitnance on the bridge

  • Uhm, I think that's what he's saying. NYS was inept in not maintaining the bridge. Busy spending money on Social Services instead of maintaing infrastructure that we wall use.

  • he said "from shore to shore" which, to me, means both sides

  • I understand what you are saying but he's not talking about the sides(shores). E.g. He's not saying that anyone living on the either shore is inept.

He means that the bridge which reaches from shore to shore shows the ineptitude of NYS.

In other words, the disrepair of the entire bridge span shows the inept leadership of NYS.

  • I'm guessing you are a Vermonter who is offended by the lyrics. Those of us in the area who were effected by the bridge closing and eventually being demolished know it was NY States responsibility to hold up maintenance on the bridge. What I got from the song is that the ineptitude of thos responsible for the bridge is what caused it to get the way it did. I myself live on the NY side and work on the VT side at Job Corps. I am highly disappointed that NYS let it get to this point.

  • I love it! Where were you today when I was walking back to my car and said, "So, shouldn't there be a guy with a guitar playing the song he wrote about the bridge?"

  • We were at Bulwagga as the bridge fell in the water performing the song.

  • yeehaw!!!! Awesome!

  • Loved your song man! I paused it and when I went to unpause it I accidentally rated you a one star! Didn't mean to do that and no way to take it back now! Anyway, that was great! Keep stuff like that coming! :) Have a happy new year too!

  • I used to cross that bridge every day to get to work in VT. Since it closed I've had to take the ferry. :(

That bridge closing hurt a lot of people economically. Maybe they will build the next one better.

  • Loved this musical tribute to the bridge. I have lots of family who live near the bridge. I may live in Mass. now but I love VT, gonna miss the bridge!

  • This is awesome and every word of it is sadly TRUE!!!

I'm sad the bridge is gone and once they build the new bridge I will be back for vacation, and will spend lots of money on all the businesses there! Hang in there you guys!

  • Came across this in an article in the Press Republican (pg 3) today at work. Just had to check it out, glad I did too! Great song, and it's so true. Every Word of it!

  • HILARIOUS! Just what you all needed at this point. I Grew up in Crown Point, relatives in Vergennes. Don't know how many times I've gone across it. Sorry about all the inconvenience it's causing you all up there. From Tennessee......Great Southern Accent

  • Speedy, this is awesome!! I've sent it to everyone I know. It's a perfect commentary!

  • The bridge just went down 5 mins ago. A big boom. Munchin on the popcorn. Keep Rockin with more music.

  • Love it Speedy! Now you are a local (NATIONAL????) hero... How about a post demolition song?? Keep on singin' Aisha

  • Love this song ~ I have been singing it all weekend. Thanks Speedy!

  • Brilliant! Speedy, just brilliant! A musical treat for the brain and the funny bone! This is going viral, for sure! I know I'm sending it on to everyone I know! "Ish Kabibble!"

  • Great song & guitar playing! If they ever get that new ferry put in you'll have to come play over on this side (VT) of the pond!! Would love to hear some more of your singing, playing & social commentary!
