  • add some means of friction and a containment and you have free energy harnessable through pressure, no?

  • how much i wanna get one

  • FREE ENERGY!!!!!!

  • cool !

  • mormons are dumb

  • @SuperSimon1997 that thing with mormans and magnets is fake kid

  • @TheBlitzhead saying kid is what gay people do.

  • congrats, you made a 5 min video of a magnet working correctly

  • @randumnumber You're not forced to watch all 5 minutes you know.

  • a couple hundred years ago, you wouldve been burned by the christians for this. but a few thousand years ago, you wouldve been renamed "jesus" or something. oops, did i say that out loud?

  • good

  • ther is a string

  • @The007ZACK Hurr Durr. Read much?

  • That's fabulous! Love it! Another great example of the opportunity to create perpetual motion to supply our energy needs and run vehicles and other machinery.

  • awesome!!!

  • That can be a new energy source

  • wath the ...

  • Your description says that "an equilibrium between the weight and the magnetic pull cannot be reached easily".

Isn't this equilibrium an unstable steady state, meaning that while it can be shown to exist mathematically, it is impossible to actualise in the real world?

  • the bottom one is trying to reach the top magnet but is restrained by a string from the table

  • so awesome, i wish i knew how to make one of these

  • @shygurldance he says how he does it...one magnet is ankored to the table the other is ankored above. His wires are thin so you dont' see them in the vid.

  • @1bengrubb You CAN see the string if you look, and it's "Anchored."

  • the top one is supposed to be held up by wires. the top supports the bottom one. they aren't both floating.

  • you should make a how to vid.

  • YOUR SCARYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!

  • Interesting!

  • WITCHCRAFT!!!

  • yes his a witchdoctor RUN!!

  • nice 1

  • i could have hours of fun with that

  • i think you need see the 2 wires

  • I like that, hehe was sitting here wondering how you could do that with permanant magnets...until I read the description.

I have seen a demonstration where steel balls were levitated under an electromagnet with feedback control.

  • zip the thin wire that hold the ting

  • Wow thats neat!

  • i had a toy like this once.. but i didnt noe how to use it! lost it till 2day =(

  • it's not too different from that 1st/2nd grade paperclip and magnet experiment...

  • I dont get it. Whats so cool about two magnets pulling towards eachother?

  • cool

  • wow that cool :=´)

  • Whoa, this is fucking cool

  • haha this is some awesome "witchery" XD

  • wow this is an unpresedented display of simple mindedness....un believable....uhh...wow ..... maybe this guy's a 2 nd grader

  • Learn to spell correctly before you tell other people off.

  • Dude you're moron, any school kid that spun aroung in a swing encountered the same effect,

  • This is gay he has a peace of string attached

  • wow, i seriously did not know people on youtube can get THAT stupid....@darkAntiu94

  • Therefore this is gay.

  • This can remodernize the current world!

  • WHATS THIS WITCHERY?

  • No wthhchery here, just about $10 worth of neodymium magnets, and a disc from a hard drive.

  • @Chrispoirier satans work for certain. ^_^. he's in league with lucifer. fo sho.

  • @Chrispoirier A magnetic field... *cough title*

  • bet the big neodinium magnet costed you

  • neodymium. Idiot.

  • It would be interesting to see a strong electro magnet instead of a regular. You could really mess with peoples mind then lol. I do find this pretty kool though

  • can anyone say roulette?

  • now that is beter

  • ridiculously funny that ppl think the string is holding the disc UP

  • the string you see anchors the bottom plate to the table to prevent it from sticking to the top magnet. read the description fools.

  • thanks!

  • Ok if the string is at the bottom of the object, how would that keep it UP? Its used to keep it from sticking to the other magnet.

  • Strings can do that. It is one of their chemical properties

  • lul wtf?

  • Yeah but obviously not being used at this point.

  • retard

  • THERES A STRING!! if you pause at 1:42 you can see it!!

  • No there isn't. There is no string holding the two plates together... its called a magnetic field from the 4 magnets below the lower plate and the plate at the top

  • hey man cool thanks.. but i have a request. if you could do this with 2 opposite magnets and see what happends when you put a drop of water or some water in between the magnets

  • Diamagnetic levitation ? isn't it ? it 's not possible with this magnet. You need a stronger magnetic field ....!

  • Very nice video... :)

  • Duh. It's about magnetization, not levitation.

  • the lower object is bound beneath

  • i dont bind my objects, i go free bird...

  • fuck off you and your LOVE MESSAGE!

  • you are the father of ufo

  • GILBONDFAC,

we need to talk privately (non-sexual) so dont get your hopes up. its purely scientific.

  • email in the text infos !

  • bellissimo molto intelligente

  • It would be really nice if you could take some measurements.

  • O.o

I'm not going to rag on you for showing me how to hold two magnets apart with string.

But - what was the water for?

  • He was proving that it wasn't a funny camera angle. Though, I can't honestly see the point, since most people know about magnetic forces.

  • Mmmmm, fair comment. Although that might stem from variables like, this: 48,404 views versus magnet gun: 770,718 views

    Sigh

  • for when he gets thirsty.

  • SPEEDSKATERGUY,

    lololololololololololololo.........got a gf?

  • Learn to read. And no i dont have a gf. I am not a fucking retard. I actually to good in school.

  • SPEDSKATERGIRL,

lololololololololololololololololo. in my spare time, i like 2 watch porn, smoke pot, build and erection while drinking VB (Victoria Bitter), then wrap a phone cord round the base of my penis and masturbate for hours.

if you dont know, and im not surprised, if you choke the chicken, it doesnt sqwark.

  • wow. you seriously need a life buddy.

  • SPEEDSKATERGRIL,

lololololololololololo............says the guy who spends time replying to pricks like me on youtube when he could be hooking up with 3 hot chicks.......

  • Are you high by any chance? Because you sound very wasted.

  • SPEDDSKATERGUY,

y of course i am, hence my genius.

have u tried the phone cord yet? wen u do, lemme know how u went,

    love johnny.

  • Sorry, I dont' have Phone CORDS because my family is fortunate enough to not jack off all day and actually make money to buy better shit.

  • SPEEDSKATERGUY,

    lolololololololololololo..........cordless huh? meow.

  • lol nice

  • lololololololololololol

  • Ya know, you all have no lives because your all hippocrites. You sit there and insult someone for replying to a comment, when you are doing the same, 7-fold. I'm only replying to this cause im bored.

  • lolololololol i only replied because i was bored too!

  • can you post a tutorial how to make that?

  • a tutorial ? but it's basic manip with magnet

The lower disc is pulled upwards by the magnetic force. As an equilibrium between the weight and the magnetic pull cannot be reached easily, the disc is anchored to the ground with a cable. Thus, it stays at a fixed position from the magnet on the upper disc.

  • i got that bit figured out, but, whats making it spin?

and then spin the opposite way?

the fishing wire? which when its twirled around becomes like a twisted rubber band, which then on release goes back the other way??

    am i right?

  • Yes of course !

  • can u make a floating magnet

  • Interesting stuff. Kind of hypnotic.

  • is there supposed to be a string holding the bottom plate down??

  • so simple but cool! :D

  • UFO!

  • How did you get the magnet to LOCK on like that? shouldnt it either repell or smack together??

  • didnt u see the string

  • bingo!

  • uhh wrong, at 2:10 he takes off the bottom, there is something else

  • no he's right it is the string

the Top magnet is attracting the bottom one...but the bottom one cant exactly latch on the the top one because of the opposing force (the string)

  • I think it's a pwm-controlled electro-magnet driven by a µ-controller or whatever

  • wow great! if you could create a kind of furniture that maybe could revolve on this basis! Like maybe a plant holder that just floats! man if you could use this as a sale's item, it would be off the charts and you could get alot of money from this!

  • Idea: Zero Gravity shelves using this.

    GO!

  • dont store a hard drive on it

  • Fun idea. Thanks for sharing this vid.

  • AWESOMEST THING EVER!!!

  • is that zero friction?

  • That's pretty cool I must say.

  • iT'S realy IS!

  • why dont they use magnets to make energy

  • they do you idiot

  • wow that wasnt a dick thing to say

  • that was mean of him but you know you can't read sarcasm right?

  • is its a magnetic motor hook it up to a motor and free energy will come out the ends

  • Nice experiment!

  • do you add electricity to that?

  • were do u get the magnets?

  • lool so.. y did u make the string invisable :]

  • there isn't any invisible string

the bottem disc has a cable mounted to the ground, and the top has a magnet on it.

  • always north the pencil, is that correct

  • aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamazing

  • I don't understand the purpose of this demo. Or why it has 4 stars.

Unless the video is part of a larger demo, such as a demonstration of superconducting magnets which don't need tethering to keep a fixed distance.

  • It's just a demo on magnetic field with a funny experiment...that's all.

    No levitation ,No diamagnetism

  • Oh sure I see.

I'm sorry, I didn't see your other videos. Part of a collection.

Actually the dish with the metal sphere reminds me of a magnetism demo one of my past lecturers performed. He had a ball of solder on a metal dish then applied an alternating magnetic field underneath it. This heated the dish up to the point where the solder melted.

Maybe use this for one of your own demos? :-)

  • Umm... are you trying to show "levitation" here?

If so, that's nothing more than a piece of string from the bottom preventing the two N or S charged magnets from connecting together.

To make that really "levitate" you need to sandwich that plate between 2 other magnets...

  • magnetism is a MYTH you retards. go get a phd and then tell me that you seriously believe this thing is capable of existing!

  • I work in sciences Faculty...what do you say?

  • Six much Bravo. Sin that who makes critics knows the magmatismo to level much bottom, while there are companies like the:perendev-power com that they create of the generators of free energy! The true investigators are those that make little theory and much practical one! Optimal continuous job cosi.

  • omfg i was kidding, derr magnetism exists, this device isn't even worth criticizing is the point, it doesn't do anything

  • Its attracting,

and pushing the lid at the same time..

otherwise the lid would slam into the magnet and stop the ball. so its pushing away right?

but its pulling toward the lid above it too..

thats why it makes a table for the ball mid air..

    hmmmm....interesting whatever it is.

  • Just look at it to get your answer, sheesh, LOL! The STRING at the bottom stops the lid from slamming up and onto the powerful large ?neodymim? manget. No mystery there. Neat experiment and cool of him to share

  • lol

pause it at 00:35 and look for the string holding it back

its hard to see but u can see it

  • srry about this post

    forgot to clicked wrong thing

  • actually tthere is a string

  • You need a barrel swivel on your line. The tension is preventing some special effects there. :)

    Harvey

  • The Sum of the forces in the Y-direction =0

    B-field - mg = 0

  • Whoa! Is that bottom saucer levitating!?

  • woo how u do that

  • wow, it would be cool to make a table out of this design, but it would take one hell of a big magnet!

  • faker....its fixed!!! both parts...

  • There is no fake...he intends to show the anchor lines.

  • Very clever.I like it

  • I don't what is so great about it? The thing isn't really floating, the is a clear piece of wire holding the disk so it doesn't touch the magnet above it.

  • well obviously you are looking in the wrong section of youtube if your looking for magic tricks, this isnt a magic trick its a guy/girl experimenting with magnets.

  • Lol no, no, no dood. This is the real deal it's simple magnetic levitation simply upside down.

  • Tu cherce le perpetual motion or une forme d'energie alternative? Merci puor ta reponde.

  • I took French in High School. Its been awhile but I may be able to answer this ?: IMHO Nudist Bankers have not formed an alience with minuture troll people from below the center of the Moon. Neither do I know of any plans to steal cast iron replica's of the mona lisa's smile made using ancient mayan free energy technology. I do not even know what that is supposed to mean. I am truly sorry that the car you made that runs off of LSD got repo'ed by USGov::: Perhaps my French is a bit Rusty.......

  • what is the significance of the water?

  • To show you that it is not filmed upside down, in other words, the bottom plate is held up by magnetism and not an upside down trick using gravity.

  • Bonjour, peux tu commenter et expliquer?

  • OK , je l'ai déjà expliqué et commenté , voir le résumé joint avec la video!!!?

Banale attration magnétique controlée, dont se servent les "magiciens"...bonne manip !

  • sweet..
