  • Cool.

  • Thanks for the explanation. :3

  • I've been playing with that feature of my piano for years, but I didn't realize it had an actual name. It's such a fantastic way to create really ethereal songs. :)

  • One of the most interesting and science-y bits of music. I love how there's more than you can understand as you listen to a note. Sometimes you have to just let it wash over you.

  • haha my band instructor showed us this on one of our many pianos at school and we do it all the time just for fun =]

  • Wow... never knew that! Very awesome :)

  • Awesome stuff. I feel smart...er. :-D

(I still say you would make a pretty good teacher.)

  • I learned my 1 new thing for the day.

  • Neat.

  • I can`t open your file for the clapping/singing, it doesen`t work. I know this doesn`t belong here, but I just wanted to let you know. I tried VLC player and a bunch of other things but then again I´m not too good with computers. Now you probably miss out on some first class clapping (no singing from me- that`s better for the whole world). Maybe I`ll still send a pic, but I guess you`ve already gotten a lot of videos.

Comment to this video? Yey, physics!

  • Download them again, they're just mp3's!

  • I had this problem before when my friend from the states sent me a few songs; I couldn`t open them. I guess it`s a different format I can`t open here on a regular programm. The old Europe, huh. Anyhow, have fun putting the claps together!

  • Cool beans.

    Yay for freshly-tuned pianos!

  • we did this is science last year :P

  • Well I already knew what it was I just had no clue what it was called lol. But yeah it is pretty cool. Like when you have a bass sustain pedal (I think its called that) you can get the same sound, its really wavy and spacy lol. I know I use such big words :P

  • @CatchTh3Wind If you're talking about the middle pedal, then yes, sometimes. They work differently on different pianos but the key is that the only damper raised is that one string. Some middle pedals raise the bottom three octaves, that produces a sound that is similar but different.

  • I spy burt's beeswax ;)

Oh, and neat quick little demonstration.
