  • Waylon told it like it was,he never blamed anyone for his misstakes. Yes he had a coke habit at one time-a friend told him one time waylon u gonna have go to the betty ford clinic, waylon reply was"hell naw she didn't get me on it and she ain't gonna get me off it" he kicked it cold turkey, credit jessi for helping. Loved his music and the way he lived.never be another one like him, these guys today can't touch him with a ten foot pole ( a little zz shout out) I don't think waylon would mind.

  • Respect to Waylon Jennings for living life HIS way. All these comments saying he shouldn't smoke and crap like that. YOU live that way, stop telling other people to live like you do. Let me guess your a christian and want others to believe what you do too, Noone who smokes or drinks or does drugs gives a shit what assholes like you have to say! Pay more attention to yourself!

  • LEGEND

  • Wow,, can hear him wheezing when he breathes....

  • The only reason anyone would bring up Waylon doing drugs and drinkin is because they are scared of him and he wil rise from the grave and kick their teeth out..LOL

I love me some Waylon. I wish I could have partied with him.

When we meet in heaven. I'm bringing a half gallon of ole Jim Beam and a smile!!!

  • I love this guy even more after watching this. He really was just a good ole boy.

  • He dint look to good there maybe a little to much cocaine?

  • Ya know? About a week ago I was standing around about 20 to 25 high school cats, same place I was 2 years ago. I asked em if they knew who Waylon Jennings was... Not a damn one of em knew who I was talkin about. It's a shame what they call country. The outlaws are what real country is about. It's why they called em outlaws!

  • miss him and his music.

  • Should have given up smoking...

  • @Metroidkalib and why would he do that?

  • Waylon!

  • He should have given up this smoking... you can hear it in his breathing...

  • "ya know"

  • They dont make em like Waylon no more. Thanks for postin

  • I like his members only jacket lol. Waylon kicks ass

  • still the king.

  • That dude is high on something.....I'm not judging I'm just saying....

  • @nofukenway

Apparently you dont know bUT WAYLON WAS OFF DRUGS FOR 7 MONTHS IN THIS INTERVIEW...!!!!!!

I met the man he acts this way all the time... he is the coolest entertainer I ever met.. he is just a down to earth man... pleaseeeeeeeeee do your research for you accuse or assume anything on The Outlaw"Hoss" he was the greatest.....jessi was there with him.... in the office....:-)

  • @MJFriend4Life well its easy to assume that waylon was on something during this video dont take it personal dangit. waylon was a great musician and entertainer.. but hes had a long list of hardcore rebell living days. that was waylons business. doesnt change him. still a legend.

  • Waylon is the man. Period. Anyone who wants to judge him or anybody else because of drugs should remember what Mark Twain said: "A man with no vices usually has no virtues".

  • Waylon ... a guy that is so real... He was such a smoker... you can see how it is effecting his voice... raspy... I love Waylon... god gave us such talent in these guys.

  • waylon movie

  • yeah he is waaaaaaay coked up, im getting anxiety just watching him... he NEEDS to be smokin something to chill out.

  • what year was this?? and NO ASSHOLE!!! HE WASNT COKED UP HERE!!! but i sure didnt know he was still smokin then.

  • "coked up" really pissed me off - because of how many other interviews were done by "persons". Waylon had his problems and he is the first to admit it. So shut up and enjoy his voice and stop "JUDGING" . Or I will cast the first stone on you.

  • He's still drugged out, right here on this video, he's coked out

  • @steamfitter32 WRONG

  • coked up

  • @senordavidamor hes coked out of his mind!

  • @1954telecaster he is NOT coked out at this stage of his life,he went cold turkey before this video was taken

  • Everybody knows that waylon done drugs and a lot of em, but besides all of that, he accomplished a lot in the music industry through a bunch of hardships. Most of what he done in his music career I bet he done for shooter. Waylon went through a lot for shooter and himself too i'm sure, but mainly for shooter so shooter wouldn't have to go through the things that he had to go through to get to where he is.

  • MAN!!! Waylon was a member.

  • such a great voice... man. his records through the mid 70s were so great. honkey tonk heros, lonesome, ornery and mean, dreamin' my dreams.... amazing, classic country.

  • lol they should have put waylon in the white house even if he did nothing been as much as the rest of the presidents has done

  • It'd be a much greater country if Hoss were in office, I couldn't agree more. God bless you.

  • i had the pleasure of meeting him one time in houston town him and willie they were in a taco bell having lunch. i have met a lot of stars in my life and i guess i was more star struck when i met waylon than any other star. i met garth brooks one time when he was first starting out and bought a guitar off of him at the arbuckle ball room in davis oklahoma. he autographed it to i still have it but i dont have any idea what its worth today. god bless.

  • "I'm not tryin' to get into politics or anything like that..." How cool is THAT?! God bless that troubador

  • Not a bad interview but not a look inside who the man is and what made him what he is. Watch the david allan coe interview and you will see a look inside a man who dosen't mind truely telling you who he is.

  • well dac is unlike anybody else man i met him at a bar in daytona bikeweek and hes a cool ass guy

  • jimmy carter is a nashville interviewer

  • Waylon is much more of a man's man than Shooter. You can tell Waylon came up poor and Shooter had shit fall into his lap. Love both their musical styles! Waylon had a much bigger personna. PS...I hope the "askjimmycarter" thing is a joke as Jimmy was the biggest political joke in US History and still is.

  • Like you say, "Waylon was the Real Deal and it is hard to believe you don't hear much about this Legendary Artist." A real good documentary on Waylon and Jessi made available for purchase would be a real deal at this time!

  • Was thinking of Waylon last week, played bass here in 1959,

First stop on Buddy Holly's Last Tour (Milwaukee, WI)...

  • At first, Waylon looked worn and uncomfortable. I could hear his emphysema breathing. But then he relaxes and just really opened up great on the America video. I always thought that song and video should get the same notoriaty as Lee Greenwood's "Proud to be an American." Waylon's views of the 1984 Olympics and the impact the patriotism had on him is very much like what we are experiencing today. I guess Waylon is watching the US from up above reclaim that spirit.

  • We need patriots like him today. Wake up Shooter!

  • Shooter is Waylon's son.

  • I loved this! What you saw is what you got with Waylon;this is one cool video;hearing him talk;great guy;and very close to Johnny.

    Thanx.

  • great stuff :)

  • great video, Waylon looks so handsome and I agree with teeger, he is so adorable when he smiles. ty for sharing this, it was a real treat.

  • This is so good we don't often see this side of Waylon.......He tells a great story Thank you

  • LUV IT!! Thanks alot! He's so adorable when he smiles.

  • WOAH GREAT!
