  • This is the most emotional scene i've ever seen on film, got me crying like SHIT! and i've never been happier as when he changed his mind and took the dog with him ! AWESOME MOVIE! soo much emotions !

  • Somebody give that puppy an Oscar!

  • does the guy have to use a wa2000 to kill puppies ._.

  • @DizNBoiAz americans ..... :D:D:D

  • i hate fhis movie only because of this one scene !!!

  • Anyone who hurts or kills animals deserves to be hurt and be killed in the same way.

  • @MsPurpleglitter thats kind of wide since most humans eat animals ....im vegetarian but still ....im just saying....

  • 1:12 O COME ON!!!!!!! thats just too much

  • Poor puppies... D=... Now dinner won't be served.... D'= Poor me.

  • Oh my god, This is probably the most ridiculous narm I've seen in a while XD

  • NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • So sad, Dogs are sacred animals in Native American and other old societies.

  • @DixieTrixie101 that doesnt stop us from killing and eating cows ..they are sacred in India....

  • Hey guys, what type of puppy is at 1:08.

  • @4lifecopt its a bernese mountain dog i have 1 myself hes almost a year (his birthday is 18 december :D)

  • seriously when i hear those dogs while they are being shot i feel a unstoppable force within me prepared to kill whatever is hurting them..

  • Christian Bale is such an amazing actor! I think this scene is one of the best in the whole film because he just looks so amazed and confused by the little puppy and its so sweet when it licks his face.

  • and this is the story of how the batdog came to be

  • Remember...Its juust a movie. I took off my head phones when I hear the whining puppies. D:

  • LOL, Christian Bale, found a soft spot in his heart, very good move he did. Those crackheads killing the dogs are a bunch of Dr. Richtofen's

  • What I noticed in very one of the vids about this scene, is that nobody ever mentions the fact the soldier or whatever they are, said that the dogs were "Defended by women and children," and were "put down easily."

  • @Tylerthephantom that's because humans aren't as cute as puppies :)

  • sad face D:

  • Wow I have to say I have seen thousands of scenes that were suppose to be sad such as dying kids, dying parents, and many others and it never got me like this one this is probably the most heartbreaking scene I have ever seen

  • Puppies can save the world! :3 Kinda disturbing tho that the thought of cute innocent furry animals getting killed is more depressing than seeing humans being murdered in movies (or is it just me?). Not that operatives in this one were even remotely 'human'... That kinda justifies shooting a dozen men to protect a puppy. But really, doesn't Hollywood devalue human lives a bit too excessively?..

  • Poor Puppy, I almost lost it when I thought they were gunna shoot him. It also doesn't help that he looks JUST like my dog

  • its that people dont like watching innocent people/or animals getting killed in movies. sure you can have a crazy vicious dog getting shot on screen like in resident evil, but there something wrong about showing innocent helpless dogs being shot on screen. have you ever seen a major hollywood movie where an innocent child was shot in the head?? didnt think so

  • @Dankydooodle

Yeah, well idk if you wanna consider the Hostel movie series a major Hollywood movie.

  • @Dankydooodle schindler's list, the pianist

  • @Dankydooodle Try Letters from Iwo Jima when the Akisa gets shot..... Thats heart wrenching..Overall the film is epic man sad... ( I.e man crying)

  • @Dankydooodle Yes, it's sad seeing helpless animals killed even in movies, but that's what makes the scenes and ulltimately the whole movie more moving and emotionally powerful. I mean yea, it's sad, but it's not like any of them were actually killed. Also, it didn't actually show them being shot, and if it had that would be even more gruesome, so it's good they decided to turn away.the camera.

  • I love Christian Bale even more now because he save that puppy!!!

  • @mapsandviolins1

It's probably because humans can withstand watching their own kind get killed, while people find watching animals die is just unacceptable for their eyes. Like those animal cruelty people.

  • New couples:

    Jay x Stick

    Bella x Edward

    Preston x Puppy

Also.... I BAWLED MY FUCKIN EYEBALLS OUT WHEN I HEARD THOSE YELPINGS!

  • pups :(

  • Plato would have loved this movie.

  • You know what's... odd? They show human beings getting gunned down on screen but don't have the heart to do CGI dogs being shot. Or maybe they just didn't want to deal with all of us angry viewers. >_>

    How ironic.

  • @mapsandviolins1

They had an absolutely tiny budget, CGI wasn't exactly an option for such a minor scene when turning the camera away didn't detract from the scene and kept their budget down.

  • This is one reason to hate all things violent. Children and animals suffer. >_<

  • jsut shows humans are the most heartless animals on the planet.

  • It's so obviouse that he likes the pup. :)

  • This scene was the most heartless in the movie. Emotionless beings they call "normal people" are what I call an insufficient piece of life that would feel a better life if they felt something. I would've had a nervous break down on this scene if they killed the last puppy. If this was real I would've whispered to the dog "I will put these once holy now demented souls to rest. Amen"

  • I would have started using that Gun Kata shit right there

  • Sucha lovely dog.. Great scene..

  • This scene actually makes me tear up, like every time.

  • me and my friend were both like NOOOOOO when he was about to give the puppy up

  • Such an emotional scene. It can bring anyone to tears.

  • ugh. i do own a .45 and i would start .45ing those assholes. Sig Sauer beats the s out of baretta. get over it.

  • When I saw this my friend was fairly emotionless throughout the movie as the baddies gun down all the resistance people. At this scene he changed -- KILL THEM ALL! KILL THEM NOW! NOT THE PUPPPIIESSSS!

lols. At that moment, the movie got personal.

  • puppies love defeats all

  • AWWWWW!!! Does the puppy die?

  • @GoldFilmProductions *SPOILER ALERT*

    no.....

  • This film is extremely under-rated, I wish more people knew about it. The issues it deals with and how it deals with them is so carefully constructed... it's actually quite a beautiful film; and really well acted. This scene is so depressing and sweet at the same time, I don't know whether to cry or hug Preston and the puppy ;0; Or both, lol.

  • @CompulsiveTherapy Well, there are such good films like this one!Great film, indeed. But,sadly, nobody has promoted it.And because of that, shitty little films like Avatar, the disney fags and other bitches get the spotlight. My favourite movies are this one,Tenacious D the pick of destiny,8 Mile and South Park .Christian Bale was the right man for the movie. The way that he acted in the movie, with such passion, emotion and kick ass kung fu gun fighting, beats the shit out of every other gay movie.Period

  • Thank God!!! 1 puppy is lucky T__T still other dogs....

  • at least he saved one :) i always hate to see someone kill defenseless dogs

  • 1:12.

    :'(

  • I cried so hard at this scene. I almost broke down when he was holding the puppy... *tear*

  • @spyman987 poor puppy...i am so glad he saved that puppy (wish he saved the other ones too)

  • such an emotional scene. performed perfectly by Christian Bale. In all the carnage a moment of tenderness.
