  • best bass player ever

  • Although this is not the original band.

Tufty was not the bass player on Livin' In the 80's.

  • If Indianpolis had a bustling punk scene my project would not suffer locally! There are some Hipsters who think they are punk....thats about it!

  • DID THESE GUYS EVER GET ARE CORD DEAL

  • Another great 80s midwestern punk band were The Didjits from the 20,000 pop. Mattoon, IL, not far from Champaign, IL and the University of IL, where they played much. Didjits have a similar, but less hook-laden, sound. Driving high chords and rock and roll progressions but in a punk style. Often similar vocal style as well.

  • If interested in the Didjits, check out their youtube for "Judge Hot Fudge". But they were a little more experimental and "serious" than Zero Boys. Personally, I like the Zero Boys songs the best. But both of these bands seriously rock.

  • Indianapolis? ... Indianapolis! Are you kidding me?

  • The Zero Boys are from Indianapolis and have just started playing shows again (2009) and are still based out of Indy. Yes - we have a killer punk scene here - check the Melody Inn any Saturday night!

  • It's sad, and sort of weird, to watch Terry on this. Maybe the people the rest of us have grown up to be is even more weird.

  • i though that they are from tenesse

  • Indianapolis.

  • Saw these cats Saturday at Emo's. Tufty is still the "fastest fingers in the Midwest"!!. The Wax Museums gave them a run for their money though. Every band from Denton rules!

  • These guys are playing in Austin @ Emos this weekend April 19th. Cant wait:) Punk Rock at its best!

  • hey, i'm going to be there too! can't fucking wait!!! :D

the wax musuems are pretty good too.

  • can you tell us how to get ahold of the foot with the whole songs? Anyway, rad thanks for posting

  • vicious circle is legendary

  • one of my favorie 80s hardcore. they deserve alot of credit for coming from the midwest when they did. there wasn't shit goin on there

  • This is really good does anybody knwo the names of these songs?

  • Any update on a DVD release? Been eagerly waiting for about a year.

  • Those songs are actually pretty good considering this was back in 1981. This is punk for sure...but can the crowd be anymore dead. I wouldnt be surprised if the lights came on to find that they were all cardboard cut-outs.

  • The Pizza Castle sold alcohol, had live bands, and you could be under 21 (the legal drinking age) and 12 year olds could still see bands. So how were they able to do it??? Don, the owner of the Castle, who Tufty speaks to in this clip, read the small print on the law on "nightclubs" and found that it wasn't considered one as long as there wasn't any dancing, or had a dance floor.

  • So instead of building a stage and dance floor, when show time came, tables were moved and crunched together and the band set up against the wall. Go figure...Indiana law..and the "Dancing Police" did show up 3-4 times a month...and the law was changed in the mid 80's.

  • Pizza Castle?!? Holy F***ing SH*T I'M OLD!!!

  • Fuck now, THAT brings back some memories.

  • Pizza Castle was one of the few venues in Indianapolis that showcased bands like the ZB's for the underage crowd.. They were always a great live band and had a lot of local support. Pretty much the entire Punk Rock scene was in and around the Broadripple area in the 1980's..and then it went away.

  • I need the tabs of guitar!!! plz!!! help me!!!

  • Gutterboy, that song was on a CD called "Make it Stop" which you can probably find on various music sites, like Amazon or whatever. Great CD by the way......

  • What is the last song where they shout "Indianapolis"

Any chances you can find it recorded?

  • This is AWSOME! where can I get a copy of the full video? anyone help??

  • These guys were awesome.

  • Terry Hollywood was a guitar god. R.I.P., Terry. You are missed.

  • grrrrrrrrrrrr... shit! i should appreciate a lot. i stopped after the 6th cut. Thx anyway

  • the one right before New Generation...

  • On the tape it is introduced as "Johnny Better Get Your Gun"

  • oops im sorry i meant the 4th song... with that killer bass line

  • whats the third song they play called?

  • America. You can find it here (replace the DOT for a "." zeroboys DOT net - Under the media link

  • was the last song ever recorded?...or am i just really missing out.

  • AWESOME!!!

  • Nice shirt, Paul.

  • they are fuking awesome i love this band.

  • greeat !!!!

  • hey does anyone know what the song is that they play after forced entry?

  • Awesome video, great band!

  • incredible. i would love to get my hands on a dvd.

  • wow, 26 years ago but still my heart skipped a few beats while I was watching this video.... You can hear it's been only two months after they recorded 'vicious circle' They sound just as tight as on the album. Funny how he smiles while singing 'drug free youth'. Zero boys straight edge? don't think so...

  • The Pizza Castle was the CBGBs of Indianapolis! Anarchy in the Midwest!

  • amphetamine addiction! my favorite by zero boys

  • These guys kick ass

  • man, this really is good.

    i love the 77-esque sound.

  • awesome! I'd like to see the whole thing.

  • wow. great stuff!

  • Still Bad ass, my question is, Why the 26 + yr delay?

  • After I video taped the show, I watched it and stored it away. The tape was stored in a box all this time and I came across it a few months ago while moving.

  • Man---unbelievable footage of one of the greatest US punk bands of all time! Great sound, too! Here's an idea---you should contact the band (they recently have played some reunion shows) about getting them this footage to release as a DVD. Old punks generally need cash, right? I'm sure it would sell really well.

  • We are in the process of making the whole show look AND sound the best it can. This compilation clip took over 2 weeks to tweak, process and complile. Technology in 1981 was not like it is now. (at least in the general consumer world) We would like to get input from Paul, Mark & Tufty included as bonus material so fans of "the greatest US punk band" can have an ultimate DVD release that can go hand in hand with Vicious Circle and Livin' In The 80's. We hope for a late summer release.

  • Awesome!

  • They sound great on this video. One of my favorite punk bands from the 1980's. Thanks for posting this !!

  • Where in the hell has this nugget been? Great to see them live after all these years.

  • please tell me this is a dvd trailer/preview of some sorts?

  • awesome! thanks homie

  • wow

  • grossly underrated

  • Saw them in '82...one of the greatest bands.
