All the medication she was taking was legal. If she looked bad, it was because she had severe anemia (GOOGLE is your friend.) Taking medication for a cold, on top of severe anemia, and pneumonia is what killed her.

Unfortunately, she got too much of it and she suffered from cardiac arrest. People think it was toxic mold in her home that killed her and her husband (he died 5 months later from the same thing), although no toxic mold search ever happened so no one knows for sure. Not every death in Hollywood that involves medicine is an overdose.

If people are going to speculate, I think it's safe to say she had an eating disorder. Aside from the fact that she was far to thin and had dropped a significant amount of weight in recent years, She was anemic, which means she wasn't getting enough iron among other nutrients' that her body needed. very common in people with eating disorders. But again with speculating, anemia is also common in people who don't eat meats, or follow special diets.
