@figgy709 no a savant starts out with average ability, but progresses faster than a normal person as they have no other interests. things we use in normal life like what to eat, wear, socialise etc savants don't have, that part of the brain is entirely used in their savant skills. the acception being daniel tammet. there are documentaries about him if you are interested
@jdhf983y4uhu I think savants have an acute sense of learning and usually start with an advantage over the average people, something which they are not responsible for, but are born with, such as absolute pitch in the case of musicians. However, I recognise that hard work also plays an important part
