  • Thats not the engine. Its a computer image!

  • @speedy02 Nothing gets past you!

  • Stop moving!

  • Titanic had steam turbine not this POS piston engine

  • @dime1188 1 low pressure turbine and 2 reciprocating engines. one of the reciprocating engine is shown on the video

  • very nice how much ? I am from kazakstan greatest country in the world.

  • that looks totally random

  • EXCELLENT!!

  • Very nice model.

  • My old friend told me that steam engine is very loud!

The boiler is worse nosie.. Make you deafness!

  • Is this a 4 cylinder engine?

  • Each of her two reciprocating engines were 4-cyl, triple-expansion, 15,000 hp @ 75 rpm.

They exhausted into a Parsons-type turbine (~16,000 hp @ 165 rpm) powering the center shaft. (According to info I've read.)

Maneuvering limited by the single rudder, and the fact that the turbine could not be reversed.

Steam came from 29 Scotch (fire-tube) boilers.

  • it is a triple expansion reciprocating engine

  • Cool!

  • well that wasnt totally useless or anything

  • kind of confusing.

All I know is it had eight boilers. Then it had the pistons driven by steam and it also had an engine? I have the Titanic blueprints on my wall.

    external combustion seems complicated.

  • The Titanic had two of these reciprocating engines and one low pressure turbine which drove the center shaft. The low pressure steam was taken from the exhaust of the reciprocating engines. No diesels were used in propulsion on the titanic.

  • thats great and all , but rly , people only want to see quality engine contraptions , not laggy half complete works.

  • how many cyclinders in one titanic ship

  • Wonderful work. Made after original documentation?

    Keep going!

  • wasent it a Fairbanks morse?
