Some things to remember about Dutch culture. This is set in a small town, not a major city. The Netherlands has it's own "bible belt' of ultra conservative Christians. Incidences of gay bashing are sharply increasing (my fiancee was a victim) and several couples have reported having to move due to overt harrasment. Moreover the Freedom Party is intent on scaling back the liberal drug and sex laws of the 90's, so things are not so sunny in Holland for gays and lesbians.

OK - I don't think that Ron is the least bit attractive, as a Gay man. I can understand the older/professional vs. younger, "country boy" Edwin SL. Nice SL for the writers to explore (opps - didn't they already try that once, or weren't we supposed to notice?), but "selling" Ron as an attractive alternative? Er, NAWT. I see A LOT of women here who find him attractive, but Gay men have different interpretations, at least this Gay man, of totality HAWT. And Ron doesn't walk the walk.

Edwin is soooo naive. Since before the day he dated Wiet. He's always been oblivious to people falling for him.. Couldn't he tell that Ron had a thing for him? When Noud found about it the first thing he said was 'does Edwin knows?' I mean what? one thing doesn't necessarily follows the other. It seems kind of odd though that Ron didn't even casually mention the fact that he is gay also.

Not that i'm biased for Lucas and Edwin, but the things Ron says, to me it's just like testing water, seeing when Edwin will give up Lucas so he can have a shot at him, happened to me before. i thought he was really cunning, especially when he's a wolf in sheep's clothing, testing Edwin while continuing making use of the "comfort" he has with Edwin as Lucas' caretaker.
At about 1.10 i didn't hear a thing of what Anton was really saying, all i hear was : Hey you, manwhore pretending to be a doctor, stop dancing around my son while his boyfriend is in coma.
They will eventually still kiss before Lucas wakes up. It's a normal thing to happen in soaps. You people DO realise you're still watching a soap right? A kiss will be inevitable. And after some drama Lucas and Edwin will make up and we'll back to happy-happy times!
Oh gosh, I love Edwin and Ron so much together and I hope (sorry) that they gonna cheat. That would be awesome haha. And when Lucas wake up they are gonna have a treesome :)

Well, Ron DID tell Lorena it wasn't a secret, so of course she's going to use that info to save face and amuse herself. She's classy like that.

To be honest, I like this Ron and Edwin pairing. They look compatible. And so far both of them feels comfortable with each other. And I think Ron's personality suits Edwin much better than Lucas (as of now). Ron sounds and behaves much more mature than Lucas. as much as i would like some small triangular feelings going around here, i really don't like Ron's character at all.

I know Ed's been waiting, and in some ways it's harder for him than anyone else, including Lucas...
but all I can think is "Poor Lucas." He's gonna wake up, be confused, scared, changed... and jealous too? Ed's moving on, whether he realizes it or not, feels guilty or not.
And while I like Ed and Ron as friends, I'm struggling to see the romantic match of them. What's that bedroom scene (god forbid it happen) gonna be like? All I'll be able to to think is how right Ed looks holding Lucas :(

Well, Ron DID tell Lorena it wasn't a secret, so of course she's going to use that info to save face and amuse herself. She's classy like that.
And sometimes I get the feeling Ron just wants to jump Ed (did u see the look he gave him when Ed suggested that Ron take someone home to share his bed?), but I think he wants to respect Ed's feelings for Lucas, and doesn't want to give any impression he's just being his friend so can get in his pants later.
I hope Lucas doesn't get hurt.

To be honest, I like this Ron and Edwin pairing. They look compatible. And so far both of them feels comfortable with each other. And I think Ron's personality suits Edwin much better than Lucas (as of now). Ron sounds and behaves much more mature than Lucas. And he could have been a great companion for Edwin to deal with his growing up issues. I think I am going to get flamed for this, but to be honest, I don't really miss Lucas. LOL! Will like to see if anything develops between Ron and Edwin.
