The M3 is heavier, they are fairly equal in power output. Both are great cars, however I prefer the E36 M3, lighter, IMHO better looking, easier to tune, and comes with a twin turbo inline six

@cruizin85 No a stock TT supra puts out around 280 hp while a stock E92 M3 puts out 420. And a stock supra is also much heavier. There is absolutely no way that Supra is stock. Im not dissing anything but there is absolutely no way that a 15 year old underpowered heavy car can beat one of the top performance cars of today.

When it's obvious injector cycles aren't near maxed, and boost load can be raised much higher, but they didn't? Retune any of those cars, easy 350HP

@textcrwds you do realise that the stock supra is one of the best track cars? the only car in the WORLD to beat its 110-0 stopping distance is the Porsche Carrera GT (a half million dollar car, the brake disc costs more than the supra!). It was one of the first to ever use F1 braking technology in a car. Obviously you don't own neither the M3 nor the supra.

The supra is a twin turbo from factory, but based on the shot from the cockpit of this supra, it has been tuned by TRD, toyota's own tuning branch (IIRC).

@cruizin85 No a stock TT supra puts out around 280 hp while a stock E92 M3 puts out 420. And a stock supra is also much heavier. There is absolutely no way that Supra is stock. Im not dissing anything but there is absolutely no way that a 15 year old underpowered heavy car can beat one of the top performance cars of today.

@Lillie1986 The 2007 BMW M3(E92) weighs 3,704 lbs 414hp 295lb ft torque...yes the M3 may be faster but think of this, The Supra Turbo weighs 3,417 lbs 276hp which is a underrated spec, it is much closer to 320hp...0-60 4.9 to low 5 secs...1/4 mile(1000m)in 13.3sec. so, how is the Supra underpowered when it is clearly lighter by almost a full 300 pounds with only about 90 hp less? In the end though they are both very impressive vehicles and truly one of the last great Toyotas

And Japanese imports were limited to 280HP by the "Gentlemens Law" that was established by Japanese car developers. So you'd be surprised how efficient some of these cars can be. True, not saying a stock Supra will beat a E92 M3. But being a Twin Turbo, torque/hp curve on the Supra is impressive.

@Lillie1986 The compressor wheel in the stock turboS. Are pretty big though, with a simple retune and a little bit more on the boost load, there's still a lot more power to be made. Like I said, the "Gentlemens Law) is the only thing stopping them from making more than the 280hp range. Ever thought why cars like Supra/STi/Evo were held at 280-298hp? When it's obvious injector cycles aren't near maxed, and boost load can be raised much higher, but they didn't? Retune any of those cars, easy 350HP
