I used to think I outgrew wrestling as I didn't care for it anymore. Looking back at it and re-watching older stuff and then some new stuff I realised that I din't outgrow it, it just went stale.

Where are the crazy, entertaining wrestlers? Ultimate Warrior, Macho Man, Kane when he used to wear a mask and so on. Wrestling was less drama and more fun back then.

Yes, there was drama but it was funny drama, not this wanna be serious stuff. It just isn't silly anymore and just dumb.

Not sure how much of a wrestling fan you are Asa, but do you watch any Indy wrestling? I'm a big fan of Chikara, although I should admit I like the lucha style matches. But they also have fun characters and gimmicks along with good storyline arcs. Most of the wrestlers come off as guys who are doing it because they love it, not just there for a paycheck.

There's too much dialogue, the matches aren't entertaining, the storylines are incredibily slow...

There might be other shows except Raw and SmackDown, but those two represents wrestling as a whole, and that means a lot when they are owned by a company who banned forever the word "wrestling" out of their vocabulary.

I'm still a WWE fan (don't judge me), but I agree that it gets more predictable the more I watch it. Half of the time, I get tired of WWE showing what happened on Raw/Smackdown a few days or a week ago and that takes up more time than any Diva's match or one with a wrestler that should be a free agent.

The only wrestling I watch nowadays is Pro Wrestling Guerilla, Chikara and sometimes I'll check out the some of the Japanese promotions. (New Japan and All Japan mostly)

nothing changed in TNA in 4 months? Dude, I haven't watched TNA since 2009, and what you shown looks like the same stuff from 3 years ago. Sting coming out with no makeup, probably "about to retire" still. Matt Morgan was probably feuding with Samoa Joe back then too. TNA's storylines move at a snails pace. I completely quit watching pro wrestling and moved onto UFC. Yeah it's not the same thing, but at least stuff happens.

wow you made me remember the days where I would listen to Raw and Smackdown, with my brother in 2003 to 2006. since I'm in Quebec they would only show it here at like midnight or 1 am, at that time it was like reliving the 90's for me , since before I used to watch it on WWF.

I can say that we tried to look at it again, we just saw that it got really boring, which is just plain sad....I guess I'll just move on then, I still have college and all of this sillyness to deal with.

Meanwhile the Raw title match is reminding me of Cena/Miz from last year. Instead of focusing on Punk vs Ziggler which could be a good match, it's Punk vs Laurinaitis w/ Lacky and special guest superstar Dolph Ziggler and even if they do give Ziggler the screwjob win it won't matter as the main fueds will be HHH/Punk vs Laurinaitis and Cena vs Rock.

I stopped watching wrestling at the end of WCW and ECW, it just felt wrong one company controlled it all.

Then after watching recently after a long hiatus, you are completly right. Its boring. The wrestlers are boring, the gimmicks are boring, the music is boring, commentators take up a large amount of times, the video games are boring. Its just boring all around.

The only people I could say would enjoy this are boring, unlike yourself.

When I used to watch it Michael Cole was just a commentator and a pretty decent guy. I'm glad to see that I haven't exactly missed much since they stopped airing wrestling on English TV.
