  • I saw a horse with a muff once. That is to say i seen it. Great video

  • My pipes are on both sides...-_- double burn chance for me...

I learned to pull out of first on a motocross bike too, wasn't easy lol. Super torqy and that bike always wanted to either spin the rear or lift the front depending on the ground underneath you, no matter how little throttle you gave. Shifting through the rest of the gears I've always used the clutch mainly because I didn't know you didn't have to for the longest time. It actually just came so easy, almost naturally i'd say.

  • This guy lives in Taiwan. Dope!

  • my first car was stick and i learned pretty much how to drive on a MT car, my question is, i want to learn how to ride a bike, is it going to be easier for me since i am proficient in manual transmision?

  • How do your hands operate once you have shifted up a gear? Like release clutch, open throttle...what? Thanks.

  • @GRAW247 Raise the throttle to a suitable level (takes experience, but you'll want it to have some throttle) and lower the clutch. Both at the same time. If you don't have throttle, it can cause the bike to slow down as the engine will cause the wheel so slow down, so a little throttle will keep it steady. Just like driving a car.

  • Were are you driving when you filmed this?

  • 7:26 who was holding the steering wheel

  • nice

  • my horse has a massive muffler its underneath it though. it gets bigger sometimes.

  • You always get on and off a horse on the left because originally knights would ride horses into battle and most people are right-handed. Since most people are right-handed the sheathe/sword is on the left side of their hip, so if they got on the horse from the right it would be both difficult to get your left leg over the saddle and you risk poking the horse. (Since some sheathes don't cover the blade and are basically just loops that grab the handguard.

  • I have a surround sound system on this comp and when i heard the intro i thought i was losing my mind

  • what are the danger of not useing the clutch when shifting at all?

  • Horse has a middle muffler so no danger in getting of the right side.

  • kawasaki zx15?

  • @Killamatrix243 Ninja 650.

  • @WinTheNorth oops

  • i ve been driving cars for several years(manual), i would really like to ride a bike

but motorcycles really seemed very hard to drive, lots of work on hand...

  • @dummybas Get a cheap 250CC dirtbike.

It's fundamentally the same, just go to some fields and try to ride it around. It'll come to you quick. Then its just putting that knowledge to a faster bike on a road.

  • @dummybas Riding a motorcycle is easy. The only semi-tough part is relearning the shifting coordination with your hands and not just with your feet.

  • i'm 15 by now and i know i can't drive a motorcycle but a moped i can. first when i learned to move or take off it felt easy so i drived with 1 gear but then i suddendly realized how to shift gears with-out practising it =D. after that i always knew how to shift em and now i'm pro ;).

  • motorcyles are cool

  • How do brake?

I was going 60mph earlier n I had to brake. So I pulled the clutch and based with brig brakes.. but when I PULLED THE CLUTCH IN THE BIKE MADE SOME NOISE.. AND I WAS SHIFTING DOWN I WAS IN FIFTH GEAR

  • @vain1r

you were going 60mph and you didnt know how to brake?

  • @infinityjet well i kinda know how to brake, i been riding for 2 weeks now so i got the hang of it pretty quick.. all i do is clutch, brake, shift down but idk if thats how u do it lol

  • I don't know much about motorbikes, but..... you have such a wonderful voice!

  • *gas...

  • when you say let off the gass you COMPLETELY let go?

  • I have a horse and I checked.... yeah no muffler... :(

  • @Iceews i checked my horse and mine has it right in the middle. it roars all the time

  • @MrSokkermasta You should take it to the vet.

  • @Iceews straight pipe then? Do you have headers? lol

  • Nice instruction

  • can you downshift from say... 3 straight to 1? or do you have to go 3/2/1?

  • i am just learning how to ride ive got starting, stopping and getting into first gear down my question is because the bike shifts down for first and has to shift back for the remaining gears does it bypass nuetral on its own or do i need to click half click then full click to get it into second.

  • If your coming to a red light and you need to slow downs and down shift or just brake.... And Can you shift all the way down to 1 with just one squeeze of the clutch and press down quickly to 1??

  • @MrBoiks yes you can, and it's a lot less jerky than if you'd release the clutch for every downshift

  • haha were you in taiwan?

  • hey 13mordeth,what do you mean by lay off the gas when shifting gears?

  • @Longboardmaestro when engaging the clutch, don't engage the throttle

  • if u dont use the clutch dont u damage the gears?

  • @MegaSuzukiboy

Yes and no. It's not necessarily bad while shifting up. Downshifting is when you should really use it. If I were you though, I'd get into the habit of using it ever shift. I believe this is because the gears are already in sync, so a clutch isn't need to shift up.

  • Thank you sooooo much for the videos. But i have a question. I always watched movies on motor cycles and how to ride them when i was little. I am only thirteen and wondering if i could get a hayabusa when i turn sixteen. I am looking for lessons now to be prepared in the future. Do you know where?

  • r u in china?

  • @MegaSuzukiboy no, Taiwan

  • duuuuude! i'm so getting a Ninja xD if i don't, FML Q_Q thank you so much for these two videos =P they're being very helpful :)

  • You use clutch when shifting down so that, amongst other reasons, you don't lock your rear wheel and cause a skid.

  • LOL. Man your right buddy.

  • loser

  • 7:30 that scooter driver is like "..wtf is that guy doing?!"

  • is this guy in china?

  • @marquitost4 i think Thiland ;p

  • @screen1zero1 I'd bet money that's Taiwan: Traditional Chinese characters, OK convenience store, tropical plants. Taiwan's cool.

  • say your in 3rd and you wanted to come to a complete stop to i have to disengage the clutch each shift or can i do them just right after another

  • @norcofoxrider You can do em after another, just like a car .. you are driving (3th gear), you see the traffic lights so you have to stop completely. So you get the clutch puts it in first or in neutral :)

  • This dude is experienced!! Nice!!

  • Thanks for your informative videos. I learned a lot from it.

  • rule 3 don't rec a video while driving..

  • Something very important is to load the gear lever before actually shifting up? .. What I mean is to slightly press the lever up and then a slight tap on the clutch, blip the gas and press the lever up... much softer and quicker

I do it when shifting down too... It avoids that strong cracking sound when shifting to first gear

  • at what speeds would you not use the clutch to change gears??

  • @NoIVIERCY1 every time you shift up (preffered but optional) and everytime you shift down (manditory)

  • lol be carefull mate keep your eyes on the road =)

  • Okay I'm taking my CBT,(16 license), in Feb 2012 but I'm still confused on downshifting. Im stuck on when to change down: at a red light? slowing down, or do I just let off the gas and then carry on? And also when you say at 5th and your slowing down relatively quickly, how many gears can you shift down in one safely or should you change down one with the clutch and repeat?

  • ok now I can move my bike on first gear what's next. Check on u tube ohh mordeth's 2nd video is not out yet, starts pulling hair what should I do now haha

  • I'm not Canadian but all my American friends call me Canada and sing your national anthem to me, it really sucks.

  • Would your bike stall if you were in 2nd gear and you wanted to change to 3rd only by using the clutch without using throttle?

  • very good video .. thanks man this really help me alot

  • Taiwan...yeah!

  • he can ride his bike with no handle bars, no handle bars. 7:55

  • Where are you? ol and you got gas money to be showin us thiss

  • lame mecause u dont show us how to switch clutches u only speak

  • 81 people started on the third gear.

  • do not drive like this guy, hes all over the road , looking all over the bike, not paying attention to where hes going, THIS IS NOT HOW YOU DRIVE A MOTORCYCLE PEOPLE!

  • @beyond305 he is recording and showing you what to do as it is a tutorial so if he was just looking where he was going then we wouldn't see what he is talking about

  • @K1LLAxxTEMTATION yea hes showing you such proper things like passing that truck in the same lane, riding on the shoulder, riding with one hand ....yea real smart...oh yea tryin to lock up his rear...wtf

  • when shifting gears on the bike without using the clutch do you have to let go of the gas 1st then shift gears? or whlie hold the gas ?

  • You're lying !, horses do have mufflers :@

  • horses dont have mufflers.....i think lol

  • This guys just said..wait hold on that was too smooth i wonder how you lock up the rear...lets do it again

  • tryna buy a new bike and i need to know, what do u do with ur right handle while speading and braking

  • Horses don't have mufflers.

  • @neothematrixhacker

well in a way they sorta do, it just doesnt excrete co2

  • @neothematrixhacker Haha no! horses r the left, because of the military uniform-tack preventing from (dis)mounting on the right, and then the habbit stuck in general riding, and people copied etc... ;) plus the horse gets used to it and anticipates action from the left so isnt spooked, but as riders we shud really alternate, bcs it does start to damage the horses back and build up odd muscles.

you learn something new everyday! :)

  • Comment removed

  • @neothematrixhacker steel horses do.

  • where do you live

  • @CANITORACING13B

I think it's Korea. I'm stationed here right now and it seems like Korea.

  • You're good :) Thank you!

  • dude your intro always makes me laugh ever time

  • LMAO @ Horses don't have mufflers!!!! You are a funny guy!

  • lol horses don't have mufflers...

  • Does it matter if you are still slightly on the throttle when the clutch is fully engaged?

  • 888 videos !

  • Down shifting without clutch is really for inexperienced riders I believe. The ones who don't understand RPMs. They'll be doing 65 and get to a yellow/red light and just downshift to slow themselves down rather than using the break like they should.

If you're just going down 1 gear, like through a speed zone, clutch isn't necessary unless you're already pulling high RPMs, which throws your bike into engine meltdown mode.

  • @AClRCLEOFLlGHT learn how to spell BRAKE first before you ever let your hands on the keyboard, OKE?

  • @AQHackAQ : So... no problem with the context of my comment? Just the grammar? Damn, another misspelled word. This is going to look horrible on my Youtube report card.

  • @AClRCLEOFLlGHT No, not the grammar, just the pronunciation... lol

  • @AQHackAQ : The reader decides the pronunciation... don't they? And break and brake are pronounced the same anyway... aren't they?

What exactly is your purpose except to look retarded? Cause if that's you're only goal... you accomplished that already. There's no extra credit here.

  • @AClRCLEOFLlGHT Uh, trying to educate? Is that wrong? Relax mate

  • @AClRCLEOFLlGHT dude dont worry about these haters.. their lives must be so messed up that they need to find something wrong with another human being just to make 'em selves be satisfied with their unsuccessful lives. and by the way who the heck is AQHackAQ??? lord almighty sent an angel to teach us English???? LOL..

  • @MissTaken000 : I have too much patience I think, or I was hopeful that he'd redeem himself. Two of my flaws. Anyways, I hope one day his parents buy him a motorcycle, b/c you can tell he's not a member of our group. Rocket Riders Rule!

  • love your jokes. even from the other vid.

  • horses dont have mufflers i dont think lmao your halarious

  • You scare the crap out of me! Very entertaining video I love the part where you are like "Let me see if I can lock up the rear tire" right after passing a van...

  • you are awesome and your videos are the greatest! taught me so much!! keep up the good work my friend!

  • What if i want to Stop the bike Abruptly!! Should i get it to neutral so that engine doesn't turn off?

  • @Anjjan93 I think you have to hold to clutch when breaking too. That keeps the engine on and then once the vehicle has stopped you can shift down and then start again.

  • Hey do you have to fully seize the clutch? Because I use the 3 finger method(pinky, ring and middle) to seize the clutch and my pointing finger in between the clutch and the handle(this fines more naturally to me). Is this bad in any way?

  • Why is 1st at the bottom, then it's neutral, then 2nd/3rd/4th/etc. ?

  • you have very respect motorcycle but i like mostly that bicycle ring on your handlebars

  • You don't need to use the clutch in some cars either. I'm guessing the reasoning behind this is that when you let off the gas the "slop" of the transmission, under free rolling, throws the gears forward and releases pressure, so you don't have to manually release pressure via the clutch. I would be appreciative if anyone knows the actual mechanics. I've never gotten to look inside a transmission while this was being done.

  • you dont need to use the clutch on motorsycles? is this real life? :O

  • what the hell, you dont need to pull clutch? is it always or for certain motorcycles?

  • That bike is so sexy XD

  • your bike sounds like crap!

  • look mom no hands

  • Comment removed

  • does it matter if i let the clutch out fast, when im in 3-6rd gear?

  • @roflshar321 No, but don't forget to lay off the throttle.

  • Harley-Davidson Super Glides are beast. So are Kawasaki Ninjas.

  • Dude, I love your videos. You make bike riding fun. That's what it's all about. Doesn't matter what size bike you ride. You always have a sense of humor about things too.

  • @GotAmmo21 at 18, but, I don't know if I'm going to continue buying bikes, more and more powerfull, maybe I will stick to a 125cc and then, we see, but thanks anyway :)

  • I'm Almost 16, and I want to get the A1 driving license, (in Portugal), I only can use a 125cc, do you have any tips? :D

  • @xXRogerMeloXx They don't make many (if any) 125cc bikes that are worth a shit. How long until you can get any size engine bike you want?

  • @xXRogerMeloXx get either a KTM duke or Yamaha YZF if you're a beginner... because they are 4 stroke engines... dont even think about getting something as a Aprilia RS... not a good beginner bike...

  • @PAINmedia Thank you so much, and yeah, I'm a beginner, I never ride a bike before, I will try to get a teste bike of someone, and try not to ruin their engine xD

  • WOW!! LOL he is riding a ninja in asia that might be racist lol

  • 5:28 thats what happened to me when I was 6th grade and I was riding 2-stroke no clutch motorcycle , hey so anyway , Im 17 in high school and willing to get CBR . so while its moving , it doesn't matter if its 1st gear or 2nd gear we can release the clutch ? and if its slowing down WE MUST PULL the clutch ?

  • It took me 6 minutes into the second video I watched before I even realised you aren't in a western country.

  • lol funny intro XD

  • im saving up for a vulcan 2011 half way there

  • whoa whoa wait... your horse doesnt have a muffler??? o.O

  • "I don't know why, horses don't have mufflers" hahaha

  • very entertaining videos. i didnt realize just how much about riding i knew. im taking the MSF course in 2 weeks and thought id brush up, and theres nothing new that i didnt learn on a small dirt bike. just gotta manage the heavier weight. piece of cake

  • 78 people failed at shifting gears :(

  • @IceMant15TM .........79

  • lol awesome intro :D

  • Thank You so much mate! I just subscribed and gonna go through every single of your vids. I am new to sportbikes and i first time heard about counter steering on your other video. I driven a few times a Beverly Scooter 125cc, but that's a totally different thing then having a heavy sports bike. I am planning to buy myself a R6 2007 probably. I don't wanna go directly on a 1000cc bike, 600cc would be more then enough for me, for a starter. You think its a good bike? God bless you mate!

  • The international standard is to have a neutral gear in between 1st and 2nd gears. So when you shift from 1st gear ( the most bottom one) to neutral , it is just a half click.Whenever you start the bike, always hold the clutch ( close) and press start button,it is better than relying on neutral light. A clutch separates engine power from the body of motorcyle. So when you start and by mistake if it is in a gear, the bike does not move because the clutch we have closed and holding.

  • Downward shifting is difficult compared to upwards shift. When in high speeds, along with braking ,a downshift of gears is also done for a sudden slow down, this is also called "engine braking". A downshift of gears slows down. Many technologies actually do not allow to shift too a low a gear from high speed, so expert racers use a brake and then a downshift, again a high revving, and again upshift of gear all in synchronised manner. It is a skill not to be imitated but gained from practice

  • It is very important to "close" the throttle/accelarator whenever you change the gears, upwards or down. While shifting up,1,2,3 to up, it had better you hold the clutch, close the throttle and change gear. But downwards 4,3,2,1 you must close the clutch, while upwards a half-clutch is just enough. The importanty point is motorcycle is siginificantly moving without the need for petrol supply, required for that perticular gear, for a few seconds at least. Otherwise engine stall or knock.

  • Thank you. Very helpful

  • I've always called shifting without the clutch either speed shifting or power shifting. And you CAN shift down without the clutch, but it causes the bike to lurch if you aren't going slow enough when you drop a gear.

  • lmao who gets off a bike and completely forgets to put a kickstand down and just drops there bike down

  • @5NOOPY615 lol i'm one of them :D

  • @5NOOPY615 81 people do..

  • "Few people watched my how to ride motorcycle video"

    More like 2.6 million

  • riding in the bike lane is illegal right?

  • @JBLAKIE1 in america....hes in asia

  • @5NOOPY615

bicyclists must not stand a chance in asia if motorized vehicles are riding in their lane, god bless america

  • I wonder what the guy on the other bike was thinking at 7:31 :P

  • im 16 and this is hard to understand O.o

  • @3hittermages it is easy once you ride a bike, I first learnt to ride a motor cross bike with gears. it is really easy once you have shifted through a few times

  • We mount a horse on the left-hand side because, dating back to the days of warring on horseback, most swords were worn on the right. Been riding horses since I was little! About to ride my first motor-horse! Thanks for your videos, bro!

  • @MegamanJesseJudy interesting

  • dude ur channell is fuckn awesome !

I had a 125cc scooter for more than 10 years,

and I'm passing my drive liscence on a Yamaha XJ 600, soon !!

So ur videos, showed me a lot of stuff before my first date with da XJ !

    thnx dude !

  • @TORUP117 LOL I was thinking the same exact thing!

  • at 7:31 i bet those other two on the moped to his right were like uhh wtf is he doing?

  • Ok the only thing im getting confused about is when you go from first to second gear, im assuming you shift up twice to pass neutral, right?

  • @DeeZNuhtZ101 no neutral is a half click up from 1st gear so to get to second gear you must do a full shift. But to get to neutral from 1st u go half a click up

  • This guy is the shit. Lives in Japan, drives a Ninja and has a great disposition in life? I want to buy this dude a beer.

  • @Atreyuholm i think he lives in Malaysia

  • @williamhad he lives in Taiwan look at his channel

  • So do you throttle as you disengage the clutch or after you let go? Or do you rev it up a little Before you let off the clutch at all? I haven't ridden one of these bikes before but I plan on starting soon.

  • @sniper3421 you can rev it up as you're letting go. if you're driving in traffic and want to take off at a decent speed, then you should have some revs going at least by the time it starts to pull itself without throttle. watch his first video in the series "How to Ride a Motorcycle for the very first time!" If you've ever driven a manual car it's practically the same thing, just you use your hands to control clutch and gas.

  • ur the bawss!!

  • I CANT FUCKIN STAND THESE ADS ANYMORE!!!!!!

  • horses have exhaust systems , check under their tail
