how do you do that thing with the blue line at 01.10'?? :S i've seen it on a lot of videos but how do you do it?

Take say a large square stk colour it white(or the same colour as the backround)to make the stick figure disappear head first get a short thin line, colour it watever colour the stk will be(make sure it's on top) bring it down the person a little bit and cover the person with the white square up to that line.(and repeat and do reverse to re-appear)
